Great scene. Love the face of your elemental and the roof of your building. Hail Avalonia!
-
well not all made it. Notice the burning corpse near the elemental? The spiraling fire was a pain. It kept falling apart. I wanted to do another level or two higher of the flames but I just felt it wasn't worth the headache! Here is a quick shot of the micro scene. And 500th post! Thanks to GoH, I went from a four year lurker to posting nearly every day!

One of my favorites too. That is two Avalonia builds feature on their site this week. S&C fantastic faery forest was featured a couple days ago as well.

Great story about Dr. Ock. Hopefully you get paid as well as real Dr.'s do, this little hobby can get expensive! Welcome

welcome I was passing a local paper mill today thinking I wouldn't mind tackling that one day. Even though I build mostly Castle, I have always wanted to do something more industrial.

Nice little micro scene!

I think my mother-in-law enjoys tormenting me! My wife is from England and I asked her mum to get me some GB minifigs. Got a box in the mail today The custom label showed Lego as well as some other goodies but as it was addressed to my wife (and I know she enjoys opening something besides bills!) I let her open. As she unpacked the bag I could see a yellow Lego bag and got excited but when we opened it, There was two familiar shaped package stacked about four or five high but they were wrapped in gift wrap and had my kids name on them! His birthday is in about a week or so and now I have to see if he will let me play with his toy!

I agree. there are some very nice details in this build and while it might not live up to what you initially had in mind, I think it is a great MOC. good job!

Add me to the list of those who love the colors. I love the buildind and the contrast of the tan plate separating the nougat color brick is perfect. good job
-
very well done! Very clever and you did a great job of representing the original!
-
Love the whirl wind! the elemental is great looking and do you have led lights in the eyes? great job as usual!
-
great job! Great choice of minifig heads and good choice of poses. I like the tower. I found it kind of hard to make a partially destroyed building. it definately is a different way of approaching a build

My challenge IV build is up. -
Lord Rex, Ash and smoke filled the air as a fire elemental attacked the village of Borland in the North of Circardia. The creature attacked suddenly and without warning. The ground split and it rose up, surrounded by fire and spouting flames at everything in its wake, including people. The villagers and animals fled in fear. Some desperately tried to protect their homes. The Phoenix Guard and soldiers of Avalonia stood their ground against the attack but their arrows and pikes did little if any damage. Finally our savior came at our darkest hour. The old hermit woman, Corra appeared and conjured up a sphere of water that floated in front of her. The sphere continued to grow and suddenly exploded sending a shower of water over the elemental. The elemental retreated and back into the earth and while Corra created more water spheres and extinguished the remaining fires with out saying a word and returned as suddenly as she appeared. Without doubt, there is more to Corra than we thought we knew. She certainly saved the village from total destruction. Lord Arlindus, Lord of Circardia and Captain of the Phoenix Guard. more photos and larger photos a the following link http://mikey.smugmug.com/Other/Lego-MOC/20210181_Wcn3cX#!i=2008155538&k=FwDZ55q

Great job! so many nice details in the build! can't wait to see what else you come up with! -
Congrats on the Front page over at Brothers-Brick.com!

Great ent like elemental and the scene really captures a sense of panic and desperation Like Z said the photos could likely be helped by shooting it outside in a shady area. Also buy a yard (or meter) of plain white fabric and use it as a backdrop. a couple minutes of preparation will save you a lot of time and headaches when post editing the photos! Great that you had time to enter and look forward to seeing some more builds from you!
-
I like the way you gave the micro build a different perspective than most! I always thought "wind" would be the toughest elemental but the cyclone look good!
-
Fine job Jason. I think your elemental looks great. not to blocky if you know what I mean.

I finished up mine today but wont be able to take photos until Sunday likely. I do need to tweak my micro scale a bit but that shouldn't take too long. -
Nice build I like the way the cape looks like it is being blown by the wind. Good photos but I would have liked to seen an overall of the front of the building similar to the first photo Good Luck!
