will have to pick up a few of those on my next BL order thank you must have steady hands as I keep knocking over the plant every time I try to balance it! thanks for the reply

very nice! The roof is spectacular and Im sure will be imitated quite a bit. the action of the girl out front is wonderful. Are those custom clear pieces holding it together. I also really like the floor and the woman with the tea set inside the building. Finally how did you get the build the planter with in the building? I have been racking my brains trying to figure out how to use the bucket (or the leperchan's pot) in that manner Great job!

thanks again for the kind words. I havent read any of Pratchett's work so I had to look up the seamstress reference. Rest assured she is just a reagular seamstress (well one that hides a sword next to her bed!)

I put together something for the 5th guild challenge. I like the way it is turning out. I am kind of bummed it is only 20x20 cause I would have like to make it larger with the ideas I have maybe Ill continue a build or two with it regardless the out come. I also am brainstorming on the two new mini builds for the guild. add that to the list of builds I want to build for Circardia I have plenty coming up! Mikey -

Looks great! I am nearly finished with my guild idea. waiting on a Bricklink order (for a fairly common part I could have sworn I had) and fleshing out the back story. I like how you have added some wildlife. might do the same thing with mine. the oriental styling is nice as well. That roof is superb! -
I would think the Toy Story "army men" set would be a good start too. Exchange the head and hands from green to yellow or flesh and you have some american GIs

Hope you get some time off to work on some more inspirational creations! Happy Birthday!

looks good and your really improving quickly! The detail around the windows is my favorite part. The roof works well as does the cobble stones. the sign is a nice detail as well. I am a bit distracted by that it is only two sides and I can see the "space" through the timbers and windows but understand this is likely due to limited pieces. Over all nice build and looking forward to what you come up with next.

thanks dG, glad you enjoy it so much. This one was alot of fun for me. None of the frustration I have had with the last couple Challenge Builds here is a close up of the bench if anyone is interested in how simple it really is. and a couple of how it comes apart @zergu, thanks as well. I think the angle adds a bit of dynamic to the build.

This will be fun! Glad its open for all members regardless of guild so I take it challenge 5 wont be announced until atfer this one is complete!

@badboy, glad you like the bench, i am pretty happy with the way it turned out. it is simple and come together quickly after a (brief) moment of brillance I imagine I will be using it or a variation of it again! @ ISC thanks that means a lot, especially coming from you. GoH has been such a great influence on my builds and has really let me step it up @BB I love the pretzel and meant to use the sack from the new santa figure too but forgot to put it in the scene until after I took the photos. some great accessory with the figs @kabel and meph. glad yo like it.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. when I started this build I really wanted to work on two things, building a modular style building and including a detailed interior. The hatch idea I though would help be be able to photograph the build so I added it as well. I enjoyed this build and of course it is influenced by many of the great builders here. Its great to hear that Angeli has decided to take on an interior as well. How much longer on until Challenge V? I have some ideas for the "King of the Castle" title build I am mulling around with.....

thanks for the kind words everyone. I was lucky enough to get a few series 8 from my local TRU a week ago and knew I wanted to incorporate the actor and I love the pretzel piece from the liederhosen guy. I built the spinning wheel about a month or two ago and it was in the inspiration for the entire build. The chair is a modified version of the one that will be available in the upcoming Winter Cottage from the Christmas line. the bench came to me yesterday when the weather didn't cooperate when I wanted to take photos.

Got a break in the weather so here is my latest Abilon city build, plot 74 the Celyna the seamstress more photos and story can be found here -
Celyna is widely known as one of Albion's best seamstress. Her dresses and handiwork attract many rich merchants, lords and ladies. she learned here trade in Circardia from elvish craftswomen. She married her childhood sweetheart, Chrostin, who was soldier in the Phoenix Guard. Sadly, Chrostin was killed in the Battle of Red Ford. Shortly after, she moved to the capital to sell her wears and quickly became the favorite among the gentry. Outside, two brothers peddle bread to another wealthy lady on the street outside Celyna's home and workshop. In the loft, Celyna keeps a painting of Chrostin above her bed and his sword handy. On the ground level, she stores her fabrics and threads and has her spinning wheel. She also has a small kitchen and a large comfortable chair that she love to sit in and do here fine needle work. I am pretty happy with the way this build came out. I wanted to build a modular type building with an interior and I feel I did that. I am also happy with the way some of the spring board builds came out (spinning wheel, butcher top table, bench outside) several more photos and angles can be found HERE As always, let me know what you guys think Critics and comments always welcome

Nicely done LD! The roof is nice. I like how you shown some of the timbers underneath were the tiles or slate has fallen off. Perhaps an inverted 1x2 slope on the end of the gable vs. the 1x2 brick but that is nitpicking The Ships wheel is a fantastic detail too. I am not bothered too much by the number of horizontal timbers, it would be interesting to see what they look like 2 plates wide vs. a whole brick. I really like the base too. I need to step out from using 32x32 bases and go more organic over all great job and looking forward to your next build!

well I was planning on taking photos of my latest build tonight but the weather had a different idea. Hope to get it shot soon, i am happy with the way it came out, especially as it was my first go at making a modular house with an interior. -
Looking forward to seeing the photo of it. And I am envious that you can keep your MOC together. I just don't have the pieces to keep all mine built.
-
Great job BB! Your interior is great and I love how you used the bed and stove from the MMV. I have used the bed design too in the build I have done and should have up this evening sometime, albeit mine is a bit more tamer, (its a seamstress home) I too am looking forward to you fortress build but this one has tons to look at and enjoy until you get it up! It's past time you have one of those little tan bricks under you profile!
-
Looks great, does this attach to your past builds as well? I like the movement of the wyvren over the build, lots of little details to enjoy as well.
-
Great build as always de Gothia! Really digging the tower, my only critic would be to make it a bit taller! I also love the new "Santa" bag from Series 8. I got one but when I went back to get another one, my local Toy's R Us had sold out of the two cases they had (in less than 3 days)

I don't mind the couple odd post of welcoming but if you want a person to be the official welcome committee, I'll do it. MikeyB -
nice minfig selection. I like building little builds like this as well. One thin that might improve it a bit would be to remove the hands of the minifig chained in the tree, put the ends of the chain at the end of the arm and replace the hands. Looks like the chains are around his wrist that way.
