somehow I missed this when you posted this. I saw the "Sheriff of Avalonia" build by Capt Settle and when to the first page to see what I missed. I come back here and see your post. Look forward to giving both a go. looks like a cool little build. You should start a thread in the main forum and post a few more photos. And Contrast on making the first Sheriff of Avalonia build! mikey -
The Beach set was in the Lego stores I've been to recently. I also saw it in Legoland a couple weeks ago. I imagine these sets will both be in the Lego stores soon. I picked up the beach set for my daughter while i was traveling but will pick up both these sets for myself! Mikey

went back to my TRU after finding two cases there on Saturday. Today there was one case with less than ten packets in it. I had a $5 off coupon and bought three packets, the liederhosen guy, the DJ and another Man bat( I do use the feel method for ID and has been pretty successful) -
very nice as someone who has built a traveling group of entertainer over in the Guild so Historica project, I can appreciate how hard it is to get that folding stage right (in the end I scarped mine but build a nice little gypsy style wagon) supported and even if does make it, I likely will borrow a few ideas to make my own!

go for them all! I just finished my High lord Executioner build. link for itis here The little ones are fun for me. I can do them when I have a couple hours free and I love trying to put little details into them which I think brings them to life. plus you don't need a ton of bricks to do something cool. good luck -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

They had two boxes out at my local TRU (Charleston, South Carolina) picked up seven: Diver, Man-bat, Actor x2 (my favorite), Santa, Conquistador, Pirate They were $3.49 each so I might wait for a Bogo 1/2 or see what their prices are once they start popping up in Wal-mart or Target Not sure if it is the product code but the number on on my receipt is 673419163002 -
found the Frodo poly bag at my TRU (Charleston, South Carolina) they didn't even have them hanging, just opened the box they came in and were setting on the shelf.

have the "Cool Cities" book from this series and am looking forward to this one. simple and short but packed with good ideas.

thanks once again. this build started off very different (it was a dungeon scene) but after a half hour of not really liking the way it was going, I thought of scene with a gallow. Once it was built, I thought of putting the skeleton in the noose and to build some carrion bird surrounding it. There are some details that are hard to see (the crow under the gallow picking at the arm bone, and the details on the sides supports of the gallow's platform) That is my last mini build for the Avalonian titles but I'm sure I'll find a few more smaller builds to do between challenges Mikey

the spectator have come and gone. He has been hanging there for quite some time. I saw a similar vulture done some time ago on a western build and always wanted to do one. Zcerberus had a good one in one of his builds too but I didn't have a red battle droid head like he used.

Here is a build I did for the High Lord Executioner title. Hope you all enjoy. I had fun with this one, no pressure of dead lines! Photo is the link to the thread with more photos and story. -
As told by Rylex, the Lord's Justice. The Lord commanded me to let him hang until his bones had been picked clean by the crows and vultures. I don't know his past or his name, its better that way. My job is hand out the Lord's justice as he sees fit. He pays me well and I ask no questions. Now that the birds have had their fill, I'll cut down the bones. The pine box I brought may be too kind for this one but my job is to pack up his bones so the the jailer can ship them to his family, if they will have him. this is my entry for the High Lord Executioner mini-build for Avalonia I think it came out well considering it came together quickly. Hopefully some of the details (the flying crow, the vulture, the real noose) are noticeable enough a couple more photos here Enjoy and as always comments and critics welcome.

thanks again for the positive replies. I wanted to develop Corra's background a bit more since introducing here in my challenge III MOC. something about an old woman living in the wood by herself for years and years, got to me more to her than just crazy (well Im sure she is a bit crazy)

I knocked out my last title challenge last night (High lord Executioner) putting a few details on it and hopefully the weather will hold for a couple days, we seem to be getting afternoon showers every day and that is the best time for me to shoot outside for me. I am starting another build in a couple days too and I imagine that one will go quickly as I have most the details done. -
Very well done and as others have said the black works really well showing the burned part of the house.

Wow thanks Soccerkid for running the contest. My first Lego win! there were some great entries and I didn't think I had much of a shot but happy to have one. Thanks for the congratulation from everyone too. The whole of the Guilds of Historica project has really improved my building and couldn't had done it with out everyone here. MikeyB

@Zach I don't follow Anime so any similarities between my Corra and any other is coincidental. But now my curiosity is up and I will have to check it out (the dame thing happened when someone said one of my other builds had a Game of Thrones reference. I had never seen it, and I checked it out and am now hooked watch both season at least twice (thanks to HBO's on demand) and have read the first three books and now on my fourth! @Rolli, I love the new horses, I knew I wanted to use him fleeing once the challenge was announced. @Eyrnlasgalen the dutch tilt on the photo gives a bit more movement as well. I ordered nearly 200 of those flame pieces off Bricklink and was determined to use them! (luckily I got them for about .015 cent each) Thanks to everyone on there comments. I do have a light brick inside the elemental but the rain here yesterday prevented me from shooting it the way I wanted too so you cant really get the full effect so I didn't include any of those photos. I will add one or two in the next day or two if I can get a good shot if anyone is interested.

You always impress me with the size and scale of your builds! This one doesn't disappoint! I am glad you have stepped a little further outside the black and red realm and have added some really great elements to the scene.
