Those are some very nice orcs here, good work. They remind me of the army I've been building over the past year, which is now still growing, though slowly... I thought Even Piell's headpiece would be useless for orcs and wouldn't work or look good on a LOTR orc, but I like it here. Keep 'em coming, I like seeing others' takes on Mordor orcs.

Hmm... I do think that Barriss was the one who did this, who else could've been the hooded woman? She also didn't kill Ahsoka when she could've done so quite easily. More evidence... she's just as tall as Ahsoka. The argument people come up with against this is the "fact" that Barriss was been present at Felucia during Order 66, but I don't remember seeing her in the movie. Even Piell originally survived Order 66, but when they changed his story in The Clone Wars, he died 2 years before it even took place. He didn't appear in the movie, nor did Barriss, so they can still do anything they want with that character here. Can't see Maul showing up here either, but regardless of that, it may still have been a part of Palpatine's plan... to use one of Ahsoka's closest friends to get her out of the Jedi Order one way or another, so that Anakin would come to fall closer to the dark side. -

What's with all those names? "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much" "To Catch A Jedi" "The Wrong Jedi" I know they're based on old film titles (Alfred Hitchcock), but something still seems a bit odd about 'em. -
General Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Questions
General Magma replied to jmagaletta's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I just heard about the discount on the Goblin King set - is there any chance we will see even cheaper prices for that set, or has such a thing never or rarely occurred? I've been considering to get one for the pieces and 3 extra goblins (since I'm already getting the full set of figures from a trade), but I'm wondering if it has a chance of ever getting cheaper than €58. -

How are they going to do that? Invisibility spray? I don't think we'll ever see an "invisible" minifigure... it *is* supposed to be invisible, after all. Other than that, pretty good ideas, but why just a large stone in a goblin battle pack? -

LEGO LotR - general discussion
General Magma replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The point here is, LEGO LOTR is part of Middle-Earth merchandise. Without anything to support the aforementioned merchandise, such as new films, TV series and such, the line won't be likely to sell well enough in order for it to survive. Most others have thought the same as well. Perhaps it'd be able to stand on its own feet, but it likely wouldn't be able to, if we were to go by how it went with past licenses. -

Three more waves is honestly just wishful thinking. We'd be even lucky to get to have one more, final wave until it ends, since there won't be any more Middle-Earth movies, etc. - the line may have a bad time selling past 2014 with no new stuff coming, so let's hope TLG is willing to end the LOTR theme with a bang and release one more, great wave with around 6-7 sets, including or excluding a D2C set. -
LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
General Magma replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Episode VII is planned for release in 2015 and could receive a pushback at any given time - in other words, there's no way there would be sets for that film this year, likely not even next year. It is actually from the 'Yoda Chronicles', some made-up thingy by LEGO, I believe. The guy with the cyborg arm is supposed to be some bacta tank escapist, and the others... I dunno, but at least they're indirectly part of the Clone Wars, that's the time most of those Yoda Chronicles take place in. Then don't buy LEGO, thank you very much. -

Jek-14's starfighter doesn't seem like such a good set, but those figures do surely seem useful for custom SWTOR figs! Trans blue arm? I don't believe we've seen a transparent minifig part before, besides the head 'n all. Also, I'm just gonna have a guess and say that the Jedi in white is a figure from SWTOR. A Jedi Consular, that is. -

I doubt they're going to re-release those sets as part of the wave, but you never know - I hope it wouldn't mean the sacrifice of 2 other Hobbit sets. It only takes the removal of those red stickers on the boxes to have them as actual re-releases, but it does fill up the set space.- 7,499 replies

No new Anduril mold? Shame. No new black horse print for the Mouth of Sauron? Even worse. His horse doesn't even have red eyes in the first place, and the Eagle is disappointing enough already. As for the good points... two different hairpieces for both Elrond and Arwen, Mouth of Sauron, well actually... all the figures look great, but the Mouth of Sauron has to be the best out of all those. Can't wait to see a good picture of that fig. Dual sided head with different facial expressions, please?- 7,499 replies

I actually think it may be the globe/crystal ball piece in a darker transparent color, attached to a 2x2 round plate with the printed Eye of Sauron head under the crystal ball piece.- 7,499 replies
