LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Hmm. A new sandcrawler? Would any of you advise selling the old one since I have it, or have re-makes never caused figures or older versions of sets to lose value? -
[WANTED] Blue Coat Bilbo & other LOTR/Hobbit
General Magma replied to General Magma's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I may have some Wild West stuff, but it's probably not much. Are you looking for Lone Ranger figures (likely without heads) as well? There's a chance I'll be getting some of that soon. Otherwise, there are probably a few old Indian chieftains lying around, fedoras, etc., if you have any use for that. I also think I should have brown log pieces, mainly if you're referring to the Legoredo Fort-type of pieces, so those may work depending on what and how much you would ask for the figure(s). Any other themes you're looking for, though?- 3 replies

Good morning/afternoon/evening, I'm looking for the blue coat Bilbo figure that was given out with 'The Hobbit' DVD/blu-ray pre-orders earlier this year. Let me know if you have it for trade (preferably through a PM) along with your country of residence, your own figure wants and possibly a possible price point. If you've got any other figures from The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings up for trade, let me know. I'm looking for many other figures from Middle-Earth as well. In most occassions, I'm only willing to do trades. (After my two ongoing trades are finished and my packages are shipped out, I'll post another topic for other LOTR/Hobbit figs I'm looking for, so I won't be putting too much hay on my fork. Even if you don't have this Bilbo, shoot me a PM if you've got LOTR/The Hobbit figs for trade.) By entering a trade with me, you agree that you're willing to ship first. As for my own haves, I have some less recent Star Wars figures and CMFs that I may be willing to trade. Other themes too, perhaps, depending on your wants.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was just about to suggest those. With a severe lack of diverse orcs (or named orcs for that matter), those would be great options, though I'm not sure if that would be likely. I still hope we'll get those figures one day, though.- 7,499 replies

What custom minifigure do you desire?
General Magma replied to LuckyTheySay's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'd love to see various new orc designs, maybe with new helmets and armory, from LOTR - or new designs for different Rohan soldiers, from LOTR as well. -
Cowabunga! Just when I'm starting to lose hope, I find myself winning exactly the prize I was hoping for! A big thank you to CopMike and the "helper elves" for this fantastic raffle, and congratulations to all the other winners! And a Merry Christmas to everyone in general, of course.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Does anybody know how well the sales of LOTR & The Hobbit sets are faring generally? I'm wondering about the cut-down of sets in both lines... LOTR got 4 (or 5 if you include the exclusive Orthanc), and The Hobbit got 4 as well... can we still expect a third LOTR wave?- 7,499 replies

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well that doesn't look anything like an Elven warrior if you ask me. Comes closer to a Gondorian soldier, if anything (or a mix between a Gondoran and a soldier of Rohan). Look up "mirkwood elf soldier" again and see if you can find the one from the movie... looks very different.- 7,499 replies

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Damn, I'm really hoping for a third LOTR wave. It would be such a huge shame if LEGO Gondorians, the Witch-king, Éowyn, Faramir and some cool new orcs like Gothmog & Grishnakh would never come to be... That's what we need in a next wave for sure. Those 4 figures and one or more orc leaders, and perhaps another orc variant. There's too much missing for the theme to be done, and why would they waste such potential? If they were to release sets like Minas Tirith, Osgiliath, Lothlorien or something from Rohan, they'd most likely sell better than the sets we got this year.- 7,499 replies

General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well, for some reason I doubt they're still going that way with the movie. For the book it worked, but on film you just can't show an enormous dragon like Smaug being killed off with one miserable arrow, very conveniently hitting "just the right spot". I actually believe they're keeping Smaug in there for a longer while to 'grant' him a better end.- 7,499 replies

Congratulations to the first of y'all! Still rooting for prize 1... though all are great, of course.

Woah, amazing prizes! Thanks a heap again CopMike! Extremely generous of you, as always! Got my fingers crossed for p1, Aragorn and the ghost soldiers...

That's not supposed to be on his hat as far as I can remember, so if it's on his beard, then they've got it right.- 7,499 replies

So despite my actual lack of time, I managed to whip up something small and simple, nothing too fancy. Excuse the poor pic quality as well. It's Frodo versus Gollum, with the latter trying to regain for himself the One Ring just in time for Christmas... Thanks for the raffle CopMike, and incredible prizes! Let's hope I'll be among the lucky ones again. Good luck everyone else!

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What if they just decided to print Beorn's face a little higher on the head, so the beard wouldn't cover his mouth (which would be inaccurate)? The beard would then still function as most other beards on figures with normal head prints - covering the mouth, which wouldn't work on Beorn.- 7,499 replies

Warrior with a red beard? Doubt it could be anything besides Bolg. Having my fingers crossed for other new orcs as well, there's been a severe lack of them.- 7,499 replies

Anyone else here who thinks Radagast's hat might feature the same kind of thing as the scarecrow minifig and Lone Ranger's Tonto, allowing for some kind of bird (or anything else that fits in the tiny hole) to be added?- 7,499 replies

EDIT: My bad. Skipping 3 pages and even the last post is never a good idea.Azog looks much better in white to me. Also, the Laketown figures look great. Good to finally have a black Qui-Gon hairpiece. Does anybody have a picture of the real Laketown Master?- 7,499 replies

Couldn't they have done some kind of Wookiee vehicle or something? Great new figures, though! -
Same here, and I don't even like Harry Potter.
-
Not really, keeping them alive would screw up continuity, since Dain Ironfoot is supposed to be crowned king, not Fili nor Kili what with Thorin's death. There's no point in keeping Kili and Fili alive either, when they would originally die.

Got mine as well today! Thank you very much, CopMike!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
General Magma replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I was one of those with optimistic thoughts about Disney taking over LucasArts, now that has been pulled back down because of them screwing up an ongoing series. Why would they do this? I already saw it coming with the way the season ended (sad music in the background), but the Clovis arc was pushed to S6 and now chances are we'll never see it. And what of Maul? -
LEGO The Simpsons? If I recall correctly, that show has several adult themes, so in my eyes that wouldn't be very likely to happen, but okay, we'll see about that...
