  1. Well, a week ago I've found a MOC from Ciamek Ciamoslaw too. Perhaps is that where you've heard of him before? He is no member of EB (yet).
  2. True, but it hurts me if I demolish a MOC where I've spend hours of time in. I always try to improve them so long as I can. I build new MOCs, but from new parts. Yes, my room is very crowded at the moment.
  3. Very funny! When I saw the pictures I didn't know what the blue machine under the ship was, but after I saw the vid I know! I've never seen something before here on EB. Great job. The ship is nice as well, especially the bow is nice. The upside down windows in the stern are funny done too. Great job and thanks for sharing!
  4. It looks amazing indeed. You've done a great job on it again.
  5. Blooody... :pir-skull: You just slaughtered them! The river looks very realistic. I've heard you can run the enemy into the river so they drown...
  6. Another wonderful creation Derfel! The building shows some influences from Port Gaverne, it is really nice and amazingly detailed. The cliff is a nice piece of work too. It fits perfect in here, I don't know how a cannon can be up there, since there is no ladder or crane... The port himself looks good as well, especially the docks with the stones, very realistic. The beach is well done too and I like the small river under the bridge. Well done!
  7. The old pirates line had a lot of sets, the current line hasn't that much sets yet so perhaps there will be baseplates in the next round... But I prefer the bottom of the current Soldier's fort instead of an island baseplate.
  8. You're good man, you like Bluecoats. They are from the Indy sets indeed.
  9. BrickLink I believe, it's a minifig utensil part. BrickLink name: Reddish Brown Minifig, Utensil Bag Messenger Pouch Link
  10. The uniforms look allright I think. The Swedish army does it! They look awesome with the new torso's. Are you going to expand it? It's time to expand my army, if I want to survive on the fields...
  11. That's not bad! I acutally like it quite a lot. There are so many details and funny things going on. As mentioned above, the nature part is very nice. I also like the different colours in the blacksmith's wall, the caskets with flowers are a nice idea. The shop is nicely filled with all kinds of armour and weaponry, which I like a lot. I also like the transculent red bar in the barrel of water, make it look like a bar of hot metal. The Keep Out piece looks a bit out of place since there is no roof (yet). Will the next step be the roof? Keep it up!
  12. Nothing wrong then! It was just the fact noboby posted in the thread for some weeks. Glad somebody noticed it! Thank you!
  13. 20x 32x32 baseplates? The project will be huge I think. I didn't know you were planning to build a project of this size. The best way to cover such large areas are baseplates indeed. For smaller projects SNOT water is better. It sounds very promising and I'm looking forward to the pictures! Good luck on this gigantic project!
  14. Here at CP is a member called Puriri, but I don't know if he is the same as the maker of this vessel. When I saw this ship for the first time I was immediately fan of the stern. I can see it took some time to build that, with a very nice result. The bow is nice as well but I don't really like the shape and the wedge plates on it. The rigging and the gunports are the things which could be improved as well. The coloursheme is a nice thing. In short: I like it but there are some things ready to be improved. The stern is my favorite part.
  15. I know 2 other solutions for water surfaces: SNOT: (Stud Not On Top technique), it looks very realistic and you can make it even more realistic adding different colours (light blue, dark blue, white) to it, it's also a nice way to add waves to the water. The only problem is that it is quite heavy and it can break apart, plates don't. Example Tile: Just use a baseplate, colour doesn't matter, and add a large load of blue tiles on it. It is not that realistic as SNOT but more realistic then bare blue plates. Studs decrease realism. However, tiling the plates don't let it look like water that much, more like a floor with blue tiles on it. I also think this could be expensive too. Example My favorite solution is using SNOT, blue bricks are easy to get, they are cheap and the result is very realistic. Hope this might help you out! EDIT: examples added.
  16. I agree with the fact the water isn't that nice, SNOT would do a much better job but the wave at the other side is a nice idea. The bow however, is quite historic accurate. A Galleon is a ship from 1500-1600, ships in 1700-1800 had a different style of headrailings and stern.
  17. Interesting, I need some guns in the future for my second ship. But I'm not that far with it to buy bricks already, the plans are being made now.
  18. Are those the new metallic coloured cannons? If so, they look quite similar to the old version. But I'm in the need of some guns in the future, when I build my second ship. Say like 10-12 guns. Plans for the new ship are being made now! It's going to be a trade ship I think.
  19. 80d Another MOCpages find, from the same builder: Ciamoslaw Ciamek. He has build an awesome ship called Galleon. We really need this guy at CP! The rest of the pictures is here. I think it's rather impressive, what do you think?
  20. Lovely decals! Especially the PPS looks awesome.
  21. Looks like the musket is more popular then the cutlass, I didn't expected that. But what is nicer then when an army fires the muskets by rank at helpless pirates with cutlasses? Muskets forever! P.S. My neighbour bougt a real musket a couple days ago... Poor me with a cutlass in my bedroom.
  22. That piece of rigging is a masterpiece already! I'm very, very curious now about the finished product. Keep this wonderful project going Bonaparte!
  23. I wish Bluecoats! A lot of them! I hope there will be an Imperial ship as well. But I really hope there will be impulse sets like the cannon battle, but now with Bluecoats!
  24. Yeah, I like it too. The stern is nice indeed, as well the bright colours. The front is, like Guss said, rather odd. But that's just a matter of taste. Keep it up!
