  1. 74a Hello all! I've made a small army vignette today. And for those who thought this army would be easy to beat: no, this is not my whole army. It is a vignette about a battle, the line infantry is distracted by peaceful birds, some men are making jokes while the officer wants them to hold the line and prepare to charge. Is the officer able to keep the men close to the action? Overview, the man in the middle is making jokes while the man next to him is laughing. A dangerous gap in the line appears, making it more vunerable for cavalry attacks... The officer shouting and encouraging the men. The soldier in the middle is only a kid and doesn't know what to do... Another overview. I'm planning to make more of those vignettes since they are nice to make. More pictures on Brickshelf when public of course. Comments appreciated!
  2. No apologies are needed if you come up with such a vessel! The coloursheme looks great this way, the shape as well. You mention to place 8 guns in it, I would expand the ship if I had already this part. Good luck further mate!
  3. Nice first attempt on a pirate MOC WhiteFang! It looks great to me, especially the action going on and the wounded soldier. The foilage on the fort looks very realistic, I don't mind the blue colour. It is different to me in a positive way. They should hang the attacking pirates for even trying to attack this outpost and cutting the soldier open... I hope you will make more pirate MOCs in the future WhiteFang!
  4. When you started working on this vessel I didn't know this beauty would be the result! Like Martinsuper already said I have tons of respect for those who can work with MLCad, I have tried it myself but I haven't the patience or the time to start on such a project. It's a good way to see which bricks you need before you order them and get building. I just can't wait to see her in real and under full sail. Let's hope progress will go fast! Good luck on her!
  5. Same here, make sure you'll check the deeplinking turtorial out, it might be helpful.
  6. Nothing more to say. Congratulations Fluyt and enjoy your prize!
  7. I've noticed it indeed, the bicorne decals are awesome, I defenitely use that one in the future. Perhaps with a white line then instead of gold. Great work on them Hound Knight! You've proven your badge worthly.
  8. Seems to be you are still the master about ships and their structure, you have beaten me again. I see it in the positive way: there is always something to learn.
  9. Didn't had the Teutonic Knights white armour with a black cross on it? They were in the middle ages and they lived in the areas what is called Germany now.
  10. Well you succeeded in that, because I like it! It is cool to see how many details you can add in a "house". They are really good. The wall is cool too with the wooden fence. I feel sorry for the beggar. Great MOC Etzel!
  11. Sometimes I use them for armour stands, but mostly on the minifigs of course. I knew SlyOwl has made some amazing things with epaulettes, like the cow skull in Lafitte's Landing etc. You can use them for a lot of things, if you have the inspiration at least...
  12. Great improvement on the shark I'd say! It looks very realistic, probably the best shark fin I've seen so far. The island looks cute with the small hut on it. The pirates/smugglers don't even try to help the soldier! Hang them at once! Keep it up Majek!
  13. Great fortress you've got there! It looks cool and there are lots of details on it. The water could be flourished up by adding different colours (dark blue, light blue and white) and some floating stuff. The fort itself is perfect to me. But there is such a small flag on it, you haven't a larger one? From a large distance the ships can't see if there are Red or Bluecoats in there... Keep it up!
  14. It is, but the French fleet in the EB harbour is still at large! I see some knights on board there... can they stand against the EB United Bluecoat forces?
  15. You're welcome mate! And welcome to Eurobricks!
  16. I only didn't like the brown in the white line, I know about the extra wooden beams but I thought they were painted in the hull colour. Now it looks like the ship exists of 3 components.
  17. Funny indeed. You say it shoots about 80cm to 130cm far, does the cannonball lands in the barrel then? It's a funny idea but I doubt if this is useful in a bloody battle. Perhaps it's good for the morale to see such a gun. Great work.
  18. I'm surprised about it as well, an extraordinary creation I must say! I think this is the first good-looking ship I see on 4+ hulls, great job. The sails are awesome, they make me think at Germany because the black cross. Wasn't the Iron Cross a German medallion in WW2? There are some quite awesome details on this vessel. Great find CGH!
  19. That's a cool thing I never knew in my whole Napoleonic Wars obession! The large beard requirement is strange indeed... Perhaps it's to frighten the enemy by their rough look, since they are only armed with an axe and armoured with a apron. Again, nice army.
  20. Yet again an awesome creation SlyOwl! Great work. The whole scene is very hilarious and cool to look at. The landscaping is awesome, it seems to be you are the master in it. The snow/water is a thing I haven't seen before, it is awesome. The fences are great too. The whole idea is nice as well and it contains some funny aspects. Great work SlyOwl!
  21. I've seen this before in the 'Build whatever you like' contest I believe. There it had another interior, more castle style. I like the new interior, especially the small details everywhere. The paintings are very nice as well. The exterior is nice too, the fountain and the building itself. I like the shape and coloursheme a lot. Great work!
  22. Nice, it really makes me thinking about the HMS Endeavour... But I don't really like the brown vertical stripes on the white line on the broadside. White would do a better job I think.
  23. Indeed he did, I can smile and I can be angry On April 30 it's my birthday and then my sigfig will get another uniform. Nice army you've got there Armendariz, it keeps growing and growing. Lucky enough I'm on your side. I only miss one very, very important part of an army: artillery and cavalry! Are those the next things on your list? It is an honour to be one of your leaders and to fight on your side! The British have been warned I suppose.
  24. I love it! And I'm not lying about that. The ship has a cute look, it is very realistic though. The stern looks great to me but could use some details like yellow flowers or something like that. The bow is fantastic, the curve in it turned out really good. I see there is no deck on it yet. I can't wait to see the interior of this beautiful vessel. I also try to build an interior in everything I build. I agree CGH is a large source of inspiration. I wish you the best of luck finishing this ship!
  25. Sure do! I can't wait to see this ship (almost) finished!
