LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Captain Blackmoor replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Military torso's I've made some torso's as well. Hope you like them! My first custom torso ever, it's the torso of my avatar. Actually it is a French captain's torso. The second torso, it suits perfectly on a British admiral or general. My latest torso, Admiral Horatio Nelson's suit. Also used in YnyklY's avatar. I'll make more in the future! EDIT: Military torso title added -
The Captain's Cabin Contest - Information & FAQ
Captain Blackmoor replied to Zorro's topic in Pirate MOCs
Well, I did it in my entry and it seems there's nothing wrong with it. The rules also tell you may link to an external gallery. So I think it's okay. -
This is very interesting! Nice job on showing us! A golden dish is also in the Medieval Market Village. A silver belville bucket is a nice bell too. Hope this might help.

This is an extemely nice piece of work you got there! Wonderful! What I like: Actually everything! So many details to look at, some nice techniques and a very nice colour sheme! The piano and the bed are really nice! The story is nice as well. What could be improved: - To make it more realistic, I should replace the fences beneath the flag at the back for something else. Ships hadn't fences at the back because the stern was a bit higher then the deck. - Add 1 large lantern near the flag or make 3 lanterns, one for the middle (slightly larger) and two at the sides. - Adding some more windows to the cabin. The place with the picture on the wall is a nice place for a window. The picture could be set above the piano. - Try to tile the deck above the cabin, or try a SNOT technique like you did in the cabin. It makes it more realistic compared to the rest of the entry since the cabin has a nice floor. Those things should make your entry even nicer then it already is! Again, very, very nice job!

Great ship General! I really like it. The coloursheme is nicely done, the idea for the rudder is nice too. I don't really like the flintlock pistol and cutlass on the side of the ship, it's not really realistic. Put them in a barrel instead, if there is room of course. Some different heads would be a nice thing too. I've noticed the spyglass figurehead! Looks like a ram to ram the enemy vessel and sink it. :pir-skull: Well done Armendariz!

I have fixed the 1x2 white tiles below the waterline already, but I may post only 3 pictures. Thank you for your kind words. -

Thank you Fluyt, I'm glad you like my work. Finally some good pictues indeed, I'm very satisfied with the result. Glad you like it Erdbeereis! I am planning that but I'm running short on brown plates, I might switch to black plates or visit BL once more. I agree with your statement about the overview picture, I'll try to improve it tomorrow. Hehe, there are some magnificient entries already. We'll see where the prizes go... I'm looking forward to the voting rounds. Thank you Zorro, I'm glad you like it as well. -

The pictures I've just posted in my first post are even better! First post updated, check it out! -
I've made a video about this MOC. , watch it in full screen to have a better look at it.Enjoy it.

I think the game has been released too soon. There are a lot of small bugs and texture glitches in it, like armies which can't move and controlled anymore, waves go through the ship and sails go through the masts. I hope there will be updates to download soon so there are less bugs in the game. Overall I really enjoy the game! I'm playing the Dutch faction and shatter the Spanish...

This is very, very impressive! So many details in it, the place makes me scared to look at! The organ is a neat design and very nicely executed, I also like the broken hold below filled with goodies. Davy Jones is very cool too. Great entry ISC! I believe this could be a winner!
-
I think it is a sheep, but I'm not sure since the sheeps from Slyowl are mostly white.
-
By introducing yourself like this way, I think we've another ship building talent on board! I think your ship is very nicely executed, I really like the brick built sails and I am a big fan of the colour sheme. The stern is nicely detailed with some nice trims on it. I also see you've made the tumblehome effect in it. Awesome. I really like this creation and I hope to see more of your creations in the future!

Oh my gosh! This is amazing! You've proven yourself again being a MOC expert!! I really like the roofings, it seems to be you always invent new techniques for them. There are so much nice details in it, every time I look at this I discover something new. Your animals are great too, the goats and birds...I like them. The jetty and sinking dinghy are nicely executed, along with that guy in the barrel. I also really like the barrel the guy is carrying to the dinghy. Nice technique! Overall a very, very nice creation. As always!

I really like this entry. Things which could be improved: As said above, the black chest blends in too much with the floor. Change the colour from the floor or the chest would be great. Adding a minifig in it! A custom decal would be a perfect idea. Things I like: The details all over the entry. They are very nicely executed, the lantern for example. The usage of the doors in the wall. It looks really nice and it adds the 'ship' feeling to it. The windows, a nice technique is used here. With a nice result. A big from me so far!

I've really enjoyed this video. I agree with Capt. Kirk to put a music track behind it. Overall you've done a great job on this!
-
Ooh, Age of Empires III... I have played that for such a long time. Followed by Imperial Glory and now Empire Total War. Best games ever! It's quite tricky to install it, a lot of things with steam and so on. It isn't a game with a disk you can put in the computer, install and play it. But I managed to do it, there are loads of turtorials on the web on how to install the game.

I think it should be Death indeed. I didn't even noticed that too.

Master eBay Auctions thread - post noteworthy auctions here
Captain Blackmoor replied to interstellar's topic in LEGO Pirates
Finally Bluecoats! They rule! I might bid on some of them. An army is never big enough. -
I'm planning to make a sig with the Fleur de Lys, but it must have something to do with pirates, and a skull doesn't really fit with the Fleur de Lys. But I try to finish it.
-
A turtorial about ironing would be great. The sails aren't the main problem, I have the materials and inspiration.
-
This is wonderful! I can draw flags on MS Paint and so on, but I have no idea how to 'iron' them. You are absolutely doing a magnificient job on this!

'The Eager Beaver' & 'Lost and Found'
Captain Blackmoor replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in Pirate MOCs
I really like those, I'm not that big fan of the beaver figurehead but the rest is very nice. Great find Capt. Kirk! You're quite good doing this jobs. -
Those pictures are very, very nicely! I'd better go and buy a new camera...
