Hello there mateys! Some of you may have heard from my ship the "Le Formidable" before. Well, I've updated some things and I'd like to share it with you. I have started several topics about the ship but this will be the final one which means I'll post my updates in here from now on. Now off to the pics! An overview of the whole ship. I've done the rigging for the biggest part but it's not quite finished yet. The stern in it's current state, this part has undergone lots of updates already. I need some more tiles to tile the gallery roofings. A view at the broadside. I want the new cannons! The forecastle and bowsprit. Perhaps you notice I've changed the deck to tan instead of black. I need some more tan plates to finish it all. A view from the quarterdeck, the captain can oversee the whole ship from here. Another view from the whole ship. Now from a different angle. The forechasers are General Armendariz's design. A shot on the gallery of the ship. And yes, the whole ship has an interior filled with goodies, furniture and cannons. My sigfig watching what you are doing outside the cabin. My sigfig enjoying the good life in the cabin along with his pipe. I've made a custom flag, the patterns are from ImperialShadows. This flag will be placed on the stern, replacing the current flag. The current flag is too small so I made a larger one! Next time when you see this flag on a ship, pray, and hope for mercy you pirates! More pictures on Brickshelf! Comments always appreciated! Thanks for watching! EDIT: New flag added!

Great updates! I think the biggest improvement are the walls. It looks more like the inside of a ship using this colour. The floor looks like it is a stone floor, but I shouldn't change it for brown because I'm afraid it will blend in too much with the rest of your MOC. Keep it up!

I just realize that if they have to look equal, the private can better take a brush and start painting the cannon base.

I've bought the Special Edition for 44,00 euro in the Media Market and it's defenitely worth it. You need a good pc to play the game. Do not get addicted to it like me! Battles are pretty time consuming but I can tell you that you won't regret buying it!

I like the metallic coloured ones more then the pale dark grey ones. But I haven't new cannons yet and just before the new pirate's line was released I purchased 20 pale dark grey ones. So I'm not really in the need of new cannons. Nice vignette by the way. The story is funny too.

Another kitchen has arrived! A real last minute entry. What I like: All the details in the kitchen! The fallen cauldron leaving a mess on the floor. The hamburgers (!) and other piracy fastfood. The tentacle and the dishes. The story What could be improved: I see it is a kitchen, but I don't really see it's a ship's kitchen. Perhaps adding more brown and some ship details. The pizzas are a nice addition but I should replace them for fishies or something else to make it more realistic. The bread rolls are great though. Great entry and good luck in the contest!

And he did it again! The trees are nice, the water too. I also like the rocks with the flotsam on them. The idea is cool too and the turtle looks pretty cool. I like it! As always.

Awesome, although words can almost not describe. I think this is the most ideal port for a sailor. So many features, action and details. The buildings are a big +, the way you tried new techniques is awesome. I think the streets will look even better if you use 1x1 round plates on it. I like the layout of the port too, as mentioned with several levels. Do the buildings have an interior? The pictures with the Fire Hornet are very nice. Great creation!!

I think he has enough work on his Prins Willem first! Such a project takes months, maybe years... I hope there will be updates on his Prins Willem soon.

It is a very interesting interview, what's behind our great MOC expert? Those interviews are very enjoyable to read and it's always cool to find out more about persons behind the avatars. Lookin' forward to the next episode!

Sloop HMS Accuraty and merchant boat
Captain Blackmoor replied to bricksoldier's topic in Pirate MOCs
Quite nice vessel in my opinion. I like to see you tried to put Nelson's naval colours in it (black and yellow stripes) A lantern or flag at the stern would be nice. Keep it up lad! -
For those who are still thinking about to buy it or not, I've made some awesome screenshots: More on Flickr The game looks better then the quality of those screenshots, I think the resizing program ruined them a bit.

Master eBay Auctions thread - post noteworthy auctions here

Nice one Zorro, but I prefer to spend my money on the new pirates line. -
As first I like the name 'Syren', it reminds me on the movie Master and Commander. I have even considered to use the name for my own ships as well. You beat me to it. I really like the ship. I see you've removed the childish skull sails since it is an imperial vessel. I also like the detailed bow, it turned out pretty good, a bit busy with the large cannons at it but I like it. The stern hasn't changed that much but I like the rudder overhaul. I'm a big fan of the swivel guns but I should remove the large cannons from the stern, it is too crowded with cannons now. It would be nice if you add a flag or an extra lantern on the top of the stern, replacing the cannons. The swivel guns there look fine to me. Could you replace the golden flag, on the first mast, for a red one? A great ship and with these improvements even better! Keep it up!

Yeah I like it too, although it would be more lively if you had put a minifigure in it. A compass on the crate-table would be a nice idea too. But your improvements are nicely done. I like it.

Is it a spy? Is it waiting to be cooked? I don't really know what that islander is doing there. As well for the bat. As said before: It looks like cannibalism...
-
It is a M1 Gerand indeed (at least it looks like it is) It comes from Brickarms.
-
True, but SNOT water is more fragile then tiling. But in SNOT waters you almost don't see the 'brick borders'. I think SNOT is more realistic but tiling is less fragile so it can be transported much easier.
-
CANNIBALISM! I like the idea though.
-
Your technique to tile the water turned out pretty good. I consider to use it too because SNOT waters break more often and are heavier. The rest of your MOC is nicely done. I like the waves (cheesies ) splashing against the rocks. The broken jetty is cool too. The houses are nice as well, along the old cannon. A suggestion would be to make a campfire on the spot where the poor soldier stands. Nicely done!

This seems to look like a very nice project! Lots of details already, the buildings are awesome and colour shemes well chosen. The docks are cool too. Maybe a good idea to place some round 1x1 plates on the road to make it 'cobbled'? Keep up this wonderful project!
-
Sounds very promising! I see you have used quite much gold/copper colours in the top of the towers, maybe it would be a nice idea to use some gold/copper below too to break the pale white colour. Just an idea. I think the result of making the dome dark red will be stunning! Bring it on!

Joachim's sea travel of 7 days.

Thanks guys! I'm planning to make more of those MOCs and stories! Keep a sharp eye me hearties! -
Ow my goddy goodness! This is huge! Much bigger then I expected it would become! The dome and the two towers are very nicely done. And all the little things everywhere... Looks great! I don't understand why there are cannons in a cathedral. Is it to shoot at the unholy ones? They look great though.

Nice idea to put all those vessels together. Mine is still a WIP... The music is a good thing. Did I recognize a music track I use in my videos too? (Tortuga from SlyOwl) Good video Armendariz!
