Now guess what is the most dangerous place on the oceans? ...that's right, right here, right at our forum! Aaargh! Hilarious MOC Hinckley, nice job on the cave. It really looks like a walrus. It seems to be our Root Administrators have been caught! Bonaparte is already dead and Hinckley will serve as dinner. There are a lot of cruel aspects in here. :pir-skull: But where is Siegfried/Sinner? It seems to be the story ended well, the parrot is still alive!

Anyone have any good "scores" lately?
Captain Blackmoor replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
I've got a free Bluecoat soldier today from a friend, he is searching his old LEGO for pirate bricks, and gives them to me! The dude has no yellow epaulets and no musket but it's fine to me! Since the Redcoat forces are getting stronger and stronger every man comes in handy! -
Absolutely amazing Hound Knight! And many funny aspects like Erdy's Ice Cream telescope. Newright's torso turned out fantastic, and all this made me to ask you one tiny little thing: Would you like to draw my sigfig? The guy on the right is me, not the other scurvy dog! I like to smoke (not in real life) and I love my parrot! (also not in real life) (my old sigfig) (my old sigfig) Good luck with it! Please do not hurry, no one will die if it takes a week or longer!

Captain Blackmoor replied to tommyboy241991's topic in Pirate MOCs
No problem at all, now get cleaning your LEGO to make it fresh for MOCing! -
I thought it would be a great idea to make a slideshow video about this masterpiece. It should be up soon! Check the Classic-Pirates Youtube Channel soon.

This is what I call cruel, very cruel. :pir-skull: The work on the MOC is great as always and there is always funny action going on. I like how the dude gets pushed under water by an islander and drowns... It is simple but clever and funny! Great job SlyOwl! -
Any of you ever played AOS 2: Priv. Bounty?
Captain Blackmoor replied to chickens1127's topic in LEGO Pirates
It looks great but I'd prefer my favorite game Empire Total War. Better graphics and very intense battles. -
New Vietnamese member - plus ship MOC!
Captain Blackmoor replied to tommyboy241991's topic in Pirate MOCs
I never have them seen before, I think they are more realistic then the blunderbuss shaped musket we now have! Nice ship! As Erdy said it's the BSB's sister, nice sails too! I think this ship is a thing you want to avoid at sea... It may need some cleanings! -
New Vietnamese member - plus ship MOC!

I barely spoke English before entering this wonderful forum, my English has improved a lot! Have a good time here! -
A well executed tumblehome makes a ship much more realistic. A tumblehome is the round curved shape of the hull. The hull is wide at the waterline and how higher you go the smaller the ship gets. Here is more information. Hope that might help!

Those commandos are very nice Trash! I really like the way you presented them. Great job on the decals too. The minifigs remind me of a game called Commandos Beyond the Call of Duty. Keep it up Trash!

Lookin' good Joey! I think the stern turns out pretty good! The broadsides too, you've added even the smallest detail. The work on the bow is so far so good shall we say. I see you've started making arches in the bow and adding a blue wall behind it, it will break the plain yellow-black coloursheme nicely. It would be a nice touch too if you put anchorholes in the bow as well, it is visible in CGH's picture what I mean. The anchorholes are under the headrails. Don't forget to add a bowsprit! It might be handier to place the gangboard after you've done the bowsprit. Keep it up!

Sad enough most Ebay sellers in these threads only ship to the US. The last item looks very interesting since I'm in the need of that pieces. -
Here's my version of King Louis XVI's torso, without blood stain since he was guilliotined without his nice suit. They asked him to put out his clothes (not his underpants ) before he died. Here it is. I will do more requests soon.
-
Looking good Sir Wellington! Although I wasn't too happy with the medals on the coat. I've made the torso and the medals seperalely and the medals are less detailed. For the rest I think it turned out really good! And do you really love me? I don't want to have my girlfriend angry!

You've made me very curious now, since the Xebec of CGH was already a masterpiece... We will see where you come up with! I've heard the Xebecs didn't lay deep in the water like frigates did, making them faster. A deep ship has also trouble with undercurrents which slows the ship down. I also think I know the reason why there weren't many Xebecs in Europe. Naval battles were decided by destroying the opponent's fleet, and then are slow, heavy armed ships very useful. I like to imagine a battle between the Santissima Trinidad (four decks(!) and 130+ guns) against a Xebec... :pir-skull:

It's a fourth or fifth rate if I count the cannons and gundecks.
-
I had promised to make Louis XVI's torso today, and here it is. Later then I expected because I had a music concour today in Hattem and I was home quite late. Here it is. I've obtained some nice experience making this torso.

I knew this ship was going to be a very good one, but I didnt't expected it would turn out THIS good! The ship is incredibly well build and it has a very good shape, great job on the tumblehome! It looks very realistic. The stern is awesome as well, especially the galleries turned out awesome! The custom shield of Wales and the flags are a very nice decorative touch. And then the rigging, you've spend some good time on it and the result is mind blowing! This kind of cloth makes it very realistic. The countless ammount of rope is incredible. The ratlines look excellent! The custom flags too, great job. Now I have to start on my own ship as soon as possible before you sink our French fleet!
-
Hehe, a bloodstain indeed. His fate wasn't lucky. :pir-skull: I'll make you a torso for this doomed king Wellington!
-
Nice one! I like the fences and the leg technique you've used on the cowboy riding the bull. What is the cowboy at the background doing with my pipe?
-
Still working on it aye? It looks like it's finished! I really like the shabby look on it, it makes it the perfect hideout for orcs. The modularity in this MOC is excellent, now it has a high playability and it can take almost every shape you want. The orc siege equipment looks great too, nice details! Especially the second one. This fortress contains everything what a fort needs to be a fort. I see prisons, weapon magazines, bedrooms... everything! Keep this up!

I can give it a shot Sir Wellington, since this age has my interest and I have some inspiration already. I will start tomorrow on it allright? Since it is evening here and I will be gone to the pub with some friends tonight. Thanks in advance, check back tomorrow!
