I am able to help to make some decals too. Next week however, my exams are starting next week so I don't know if I'm able to help then. But I'll do what I can.
-
I agree that cannon looks very interesting, the rest as well. Thanks for sharing!
-
Even I was wondering that as well.
-
The beards look like fat fishies, it can be the current as well. Let it up to your imagnation!
-
The first thing I saw was the unique technique you've used on the water. It is very smart and it looks great. The beards as fishies is nice as well. You've also done a great job on the landscaping and the parrot in the tree. Keep it up!

My ships will always sail under the Bluecoat flag, and for those who don't know it yet: NO, I have no mercy against Redcoats, and YES, we hang pirates! :pir-skull:
-
As houndy said above this ships is a massive trunk of LEGO right now, on LDD at least. The stern is quite big, are you sure it fits to the rest of the ship? I should remove the black fences at the back and replace it with black bricks, add some decorations on it, a flag and some lanterns to finish it all off!

French line infantry
Captain Blackmoor replied to General Armendariz's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I remember yours, and indeed, they are quite similar as you said. I like them both anyway. -
I'd recommend to place the large mast and the small mast at the stern (don't know the English term) a bit more backwards. The rest of the project is stunning so far! Keep this wonderful build up.

I wish I could go to Brickworld, it all sounds like an awesome event. But I live in the Netherlands... Of course I can travel to the States but I'd rather save myself some pennies for my coming student time, and LEGO! So I really hope there will be a great LEGO event in the Netherlands soon, where I can show my creations too.

I think Tiber underestimates the Bluecoat forces, on this forum there are more Bluecoat naval ships then Redcoat ships. Perhaps on land there are more Redcoats but the seas are ours! Which makes me sure I have to finish my secret project ship and expand my land army as soon as possible!
-
I didn't know it was done already. Those demensions are very helpful I think.
-
Looking extraordinary good Admiral! It looks like you have a ship to sail soon! The work on the bow is nice, it has a nice shape and the colours are good. May I recommend to use coloured stripes on the hull between the gundecks instead of plain black? Good luck finishing her, you've done a huge part already!

Words can't describe Hound Knight! Those are so wonderful... But now Zuloo's camera lens gets dirty.
-
We were discussing someting similar before somewhere, I don't know exactly where. It was about the idea adding print size images for sails in the sail library. It is a quite good idea but it takes some time to make it possible.

There is an index for decals, the biggest source of cutom decals on the internet. Pirate Torso Library Hope that might help!

"Its gotten..." You are a horrible speller Armendariz! And I live in the Netherlands... I really need to update my army since everyone's getting bigger and bigger!

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Captain Blackmoor replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Here are my new decals! Some of them are already in the Torso Library but here are new recoloured versions. Enjoy! A torso suitable for a citizen in the colonial town. (recoloured) Demo Merchant torso. (recoloured) French admiral/captain/general torso. (recoloured) Demo A torso for a thug/pirate or some vile people like that. (recoloured and knife added) Useful for seamen and pirates. Another suit for another scurvy dog. Seamen and pirates. A stranded sailor or prisoner. Every torso I've made till now is here on Brickshelf, when public of course edit: some demo's added. 2nd edit: another torso added. -
Nice army! A bit light would help during the time taking photo's, but the first picture is amazing.
-
Awesome work Teddy! The castle looks so realistic, it really splats out of my computer screen. The courtyard buildings are very nice as well, as well the landscaping outside the castle walls. A few custom ducks or some other nature in the water would add a lot, I see some greenery in there but that's only a small ammount. And you have a lot of crownies in there!

I have trouble with it as well since I have a port (not finished) too. I have put the whole structure on the ground and tried to photograph it in birds view, otherwise I need a very large clean background which I do not have. I should take a few pictures in birds view or in a slightly different angle where the background doesn't distracts so much. For close ups or for photographing a single building you can use white sheets of paper as background. Hope that might help!

Awesome decals again Hound Knight! They look always good. I had no inspiration anymore for my midshipmen, so I might use yours for it. Or try to make my own decals again, but it is a challenge to make 30+ different decals for the whole crew. So I might use some ideas!

When I started watching this topic again I suddenly noticed it and I was ashamed for what I posted yesterday. Nice touch indeed to add a removable roof.
-
Also a nice creation Hound Knight! The barrel may be a bit long for a howitzer, how about to make a custom one? The shiney new barrel looks great though, like Tiber mentioned it would be even better with a brown base under it. Some ammunition would be a nice addition.
-
Lookin' good Hound Knight! I really like this. The colours have a distinguished feeling over it, and the shapes are very nice as well. But why isn't there a roof?
