  1. Well I can spot another ship in CGH's place, on the yellow sofa. I haven't seen it anywhere before and it looks cool. Perhaps that's a small thing they're working on too? We'll see! I'm sure that ship will be around the forum if it is finished.
  2. It's so awesome to see how the "dockyard" looks like. Lots of beer there, I don't understand when you are drunk you can build such a ship. It also explains CGH's title! It seems to be you guys had a lot of fun there. And it is so cool to see this ship being constructed bit by bit in different places. Now off to the next ship you drunk pirates! guys!
  3. That's a handy one Captain! I think I will use it somewhere in the future if I'm going to make Chinese ships. Some text in your post would help too instead of just "link"
  4. Thanks Hound Knight, I'm glad you like them but they aren't there anymore. They have been replaced by yellow decorations. I've made a module from the gallery at the stern today. This isn't the real thing but it shows how the cabin is going to look like. I've ran out of yellow and black bricks so I made it in different colours. I've made this module to check what I need. After my exams I will start ordering bricks. For the lower cabin I use the same technique I used on the Le Formidable, this cabin will be placed on top of it. That also explains the weird curve in the walls. The upper cabin is smaller then the cabin below. Now we've talked long enough, time for the pics. Tell me what you like and what could be improved. The ship is still in planning fase so ideas are very welcome! Everyone's opinion helps! Even the parrot's opinion! General Armendariz and YnyklY checking the cabin module. There will be windows in there! No worries! How the interior is going to look like, in the wrong colours since I've put every piece of furniture in the Le Formidable already. I also see this pic is a bit blurry... The plans for the stern itself are ready, not really hard to do but it are the galleries which give the nice smooth look of the cabin instead of a boxy one. Any feedback is highly appreciated! Thank you!
  5. Only that blue cannon base is already 4-5 USD on Bricklink...
  6. Nothing more to say, but I have my doubts about the large cannons on deck. They aren't that realistic in my opinion. I'm looking forward to the result!
  7. We're really sliding off topic now... I will be watching this thread Dr. Steve! I'm looking forward to the final product and the name, what is a ship without it? Does it have a complete interior already?
  8. Zorro is a man who does his job perfectly here, you are too weak to resist the attractive Ebay offers! And after all...your fiance goes shopping some times too right? And hobbies cost always money... You spend money on your hobbies and she on her hobbies.
  9. Jameseh: I can do your torso's, if I can find some time I'll do them. But there some people who need their decals first. Orion123: Do you mean face decals, torso decals, or both? I have some experience with torso's but not with faces. I might try to do this but there are a few people who need their request done as well, since they were first. You will hear from me when I'm done with it, but perhaps can Capt. Kirk help you out as well, since he is amazingly good at this job.
  10. Thanks Hound Knight! It turned out even better then I expected! Wonderful, it seems to be god likes you, giving you this drawing skill. I'm so pleased how the torso turned out on my sigfig!
  11. A kind of review would be awesome, I am also very pleased there are finally U clips. They aren't only handy for bayonets but also for much, much more. I defenitely need a few in the future. A few knifes too, since sabres are a bit too long for bayonets.
  12. A simple job in the supermarket doesn't give that much money indeed, and I need a lot for my coming student time. But after that I hope I can get a good job and earn some good money. The more you have, the more you can spend on LEGO. I have quite some but I don't want to spend it all on LEGO, since there are so many things in life... I'll see what the future brings me.
  13. Please show the results of your experiment, I'd like to buy them too but I also want to know what to buy and in which colour. I think gunmetal is the perfect colour for a bayonet. I'm looking forward to it!
  14. Here are some old pictures of the Le Formidable, the stern has been updated, the rigging has been updated, the decks have been...well actually everyting has been updated. I will post the final pictures soon. This time I will start with an extended hull and a wider base. Then I add decks like I did in my previous ship, but this one will have a gundeck extra. The stern will be somewhat similar to the Le Formidable but with less decorations on top, otherwise the stern gets too high.
  15. You are truely addicted to LEGO. Just like everyone else here, and just like me but I simply don't have that much money to spend on LEGO...
  16. Are you going to put a sabre or a knife on it? Why no U-clips in light grey or metallic colours? I think they are more realistic then black ones.
  17. I knew the cobblestone effect would add a lot to it! Nice buildings! I really like the rocks as well, the docks with the 1x2 tiles on it are great. Keep this up! I'm eager to see the finished result!
  18. Congrats! It's one of the hardest battles I've had in my ETW career. I've found such an amazing video on youtube! Enjoy!
  19. You send them to me right? Trying to avoid this ship will ever set sail. IF it sets sail, it sets course to ruin your Redcoats on the shores! :pir-skull: But I thank you for your kind words.
  20. An extra pair of forechasers? From fourth rates to first rates the ships had four cannons on the forecastle aiming to the bowsprit, and a few carronades on the forecastle broadside. Perhaps there is room for them. A few carronades always work in a battle! :pir-skull:
  21. Awww... I must admit I play France, England, Spain and The Netherlands the most, since they have fleets to fight with. The naval battles are much more intense then land battles, land battles are great though but I'd prefer to fight at sea. That's also because I know about official naval tactics, and I lack land battle tactics. I must also admit the demo battles are hard to do for the one who plays it for the first time. I lost both of 'em!
  22. I was also thinking about 7 midsections, but I make it in the same style as the Le Formidable which is a little bit more minifig scale. She will have 24 cannons each side. About the coloursheme, you are right about it. The French had the black-red coloursheme, but some French ships at Trafalgar had also the Nelson black-yellow coloursheme. But since I have to order the bricks, I have enough time to think about it. This is the "plan making stage" which means brainstorming and getting suggestions from other people. Thank you very much all!
  23. I totally agree! It seems to be the parrots are popular by the Bluecoat forces, my sigfig has a parrot too! You got a nice army, feared by the Redcoats!
  24. He's one of them, I know it, I can almost smell it... Good luck on the contest!
  25. My little brother was quite young when he got his first ship, there was a yellow goblet in there and he liked it to bit on it. Now, almost 10 years later I still use that goblet. As a broken one. Thanks mate! Together we shall rule the seas. :pir-skull: I'll help you out soon, I might have some time this weekend and after the exams I have plenty!
