Great work Waterbrick! I've also made a new module, the Wolfpack Embassy! More pictures can be found in the Beta Thread. ISC, here is my new thumbnail code: And Waterbrick's: ~Thrash P.S. What jerk responded "meh" in the poll?! -
In yet another shameless double post, I present my first module in a few weeks: the Wolfpack Embassy! I've had this module in mind for quite a while but was never really in the mood to build it. When the contest came along, I figured it was time I quit being lazy and build it! The back: Traditional wolf pack member, Wolfpack Ambassador, and Wolfpack elite guard: Here's the decal I made for the lady. I wanted it to look like the princess leia torso but have little wolfpack symbols on it: I hope you all like it! I'll probably enter it in the contest, but in case I build a lot of modules before the deadline I want to hold off so that I can choose the best two to enter. (I assume that's ok, ISC?) Great work Waterbrick Down! The whole module looks really nice and all the little details are perfect. The way you hung the shirts was really clever and I lilke the way the guy is dipping the tan shirt. Are you going to enter this in the contest? I wish you were on Beta! ~Thrash

No, this is not where we pick what modules will be the final modules for the EBCCB. It is my understanding that this is just a fun contest that ISC and Sir Dillon are hosting to encourage participation in the EBCCB and a fun little challenge for those already participating. I don't think that it does have to be on the list. Anything is fine as long as it fits in with the theme of a medieval walled city. ~Thrash
-
I appreciate your concern Buttons, however, I do not feel as if the contest is unfair to those who have already created modules. I was going to continue creating modules regardless of the contest coming along, so the prospect of winning the contest and getting a prize is just an added bonus!
-
No problem, I think I'll be changing mine in a minute too. ~Thrash
-
That might be a cool idea. Even if they don't want to have any prizes for the large category, it would still be fun to let people vote on which or the large creations is the best! To answer that: Also, in case someone wanted a smaller banner of the original or some other ones for alpha and beta... ~Thrash

Yay, the contest is finally up and running! Guess it's time to take apart my Tavern and get back to building modules. It's gonna be tough deciding which ones to build, especially since it has to be limited to only 2! I was wondering how you guys would handle the larger modules when it came time for the contest. I think it was a good idea to leave them out and just focus on the 16x16 modules. Thanks Sir Dillon and ISC for getting this together. ~Thrash

Can't wait to see what you'll built next Etzel! ISC, here's the thumbnail code for Etzel: Etzel ~Thrash -
Great to have you on Team Beta Etzel! That's a nice guardpost you made...it fits perfectly for the civilian district. My favorite parts are the railing (good use of the gold colored dots) and that little apple tree. ~Thrash

Great job on the Skeleton Embassy ISC! I am indeed waiting until the competition to get things going again. After my tavern I wanted to take a bit of a break and let it stay built for a bit, but I'm sure that once the competition comes around I'll be able to get over it and take it apart for another module! Here's the thumbnail code for it: ~Thrash -
Great job ISC! I love how you made it a giant dragon skeleton. The big skeleton head that made was good too, but I think that it was a good decision to just go for the dragon skeleton on top instead. The flaming tree is also really well done. I like how you used the arms to make the tree. ~Thrash

I'm not much of a fan of Space usually, but I'll definitely be picking up the one that comes with the alien with the spiky helmet. That will make for the coolest gladiator helmet ever. ~Thrash

Thanks Jim! ISC, here's the thumbnail code for Waterbrick's Veggie Patch: ~Thrash -
I love everything about it, but my favorite part is the stocks. In all of my years of playing with Lego, I've always wanted to make some stocks but could never get it right, but you did it perfectly. ~Thrash

Ha, I'm sure your gatehouse will be great. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm certainly interested in work in progress pics. Thanks to everyone for the comments on the new layout. I think that this layout could actually be the final one. I can't think of anything else that we could add or change, but then again, I think I've felt that way about most of the previous layouts too. Sorry it took so long, but here are the two new thumbnails: For you: For NewRight: NewRight ~Thrash -
Hmm, I never got that set. I'll have to look at S@H to see if it's still on sale like it used to be. That was brilliant to put the end wall there. I think that it looks good being boxy, but if you want to try something else you could use the curvy technique that Stol and I used on our Church for the round turret. ~Thrash

Great work ISC. The interior looks great, the gate is really cool. Everything turned out really nice. Also, that picture of the two modules back to back with the wall capped off in your module is great. I was worried about how it would look to have the outer wall on the modules on the inside wall, but it turned out great. ~Thrash

Haha, I'm not sure where I get my ideas from. I think that some fellow or something posted something similar on the last page... The stairs gave me a bit of trouble, but I ended up deciding to lump them with the torturer chamber: K25. Royal Torture Chamber w/ Staircase to Roof (2 stories) That might not be the best place for them, but it was a module that hadn't been done yet so I figured it would be easy to throw a staircase in. Also, having the torture chamber be two stories will allow for cages and stuff, so that might be good. Any thoughts on this? Wow! That's an awesome looking exterior...I'll check out the interior in a minute. Two great beta modules for Beta in one night! Alpha doesn't stand a chance! ~Thrash -
Great work NewRight! I love the color scheme, bed, plant, fireplace, basically everything about it... I'll thumbnail it sometime tonight or tomorrow. I'm glad you're on Beta! ~Thrash

That does look much better. You win. How does everyone feel about this one? Correct. Think of it as kind of the fourth floor of the keep... ~Thrash -

Ok, that sounds good. Oooh! New modules from ISC soon! Here's an example of what I meant for the modules like "Platform 1" on the roof of the keep. Obviously, people could put things on it like drunk guards, seige equipment. I think it'll look nicer if we tile it too. What do you guys think? ~Thrash -

...Just more proof of Alpha's poor eye-sight! Back on topic though: ISC, do you think that we should put names next to the modules that are already done, or just have the list stay with no names at all to encourage people to do modules even if they've been done? ~Thrash -

I just realized that I hadn't thumbnailed Erd's or JerryMan's new modules yet, so here they are. I didn't bother to do the wall that was under seige since Jerry said he was going to redo it. Jerry, if you change your mind, just let me know and I'll go ahead and thumbnail your current wall under seige.
