1. Like I've said before, I really like this brothel. The idea for different theme rooms was great. I don't really know why, but I think that one of my favorite part is the way the overhang over the stairs looks. Great job! ~Thrash
2. 3 modules?! What a treat! Just when I thought people had lost interest, Josh does a brothel, Erdbeereis posts a courtyard, and you tell us you have 3 new modules. The Elf Archer Barracks sounds interesting...I'm sure we'll be able to find a place for it Can't wait to see the finished products! ~Thrash
3. After taking a few weeks off, I've finished my Archery Range and Training Ground! For more pictures, check out the Team Beta Thread! I hope you guys like it! ISC, here's the thumbnail code: ~Thrash
4. Well, it's been a while and I had to dig this thread up from page 2, but here is my Archery Range and Training Ground! I decided to combine the two into a sort of training academy for new recruits into the EBCCB army. Here's an overview of the training facilities: There are two dummies for people to train with for hand-to-hand combat: Recruits can also go to the archery range: Once the recruits have gotten good enough at archery and melee combat, they can try to pass the final test...running across hot coals: If they make it to the other side, the trainer presents them with their equipment and they are officially in the army: The Recruits, Dummy, and Trainer: I went with the white and black scheme because I had just taken apart my giant castle chess set and had tons of black and white tiles. That led me to give the trainer the twoface hair since I thought it fit well with the rest of the color scheme. I hope you guys like it! I can't make any promises, but I might have another one built later tonight Archery Range and Training Ground Brickshelf ~Thrash P.S. I know that the instructions say to post 5 pictures per entry, but I figured that since this entry was twice as big (and I guess techinically 2 entries) it would be ok to put in a few more pictures.
5. Great entry Josh. The whole thing came together really nicely. ~Thrash
6. That looks like a great start Erdbeereis. Maybe to fill it up a bit more you could add some statues on the corners. ~Thrash
7. Hahaha, this thread gets better by the hour. I absolutely love the rack of sex toys. A couple of the items are pretty kinky, or just downright disturbing. When I suggested that the Brothel be on the list, I never imagined that it would be such a masterpiece. Can't wait to see more pictures! ~Thrash
8. The Jester's hat wins by a long shot. Heck, I think it's the best headpiece they've ever made, so it easily wins for 2008. ~Thrash
9. Haha, I love it. I can't wait to see the finished product. I'm glad that you've been working on it, too. No one had posted in the main thread for a while, so I'm glad to see that at least one person has been working hard on their entry. I should have 2 more entries up this weekend, too :) ~Thrash
10. Great job ISC. It was a great idea and you built it really well. My favorite thing about it is how the waterfall and everything is slanted. Now get back to working on some modules for the EBCCB! The gold weapons are actually the brickforge spiked mace and trident. Oh, and I think that 1, 5, and 6 are the best pictures. ~Thrash
11. Sorry that you can't enter the PtV contest, but it's great to have you join the EBCCB. The way it works is you just choose something on the list to build (or suggest an addition to the list and build it) and then post pictures when you're finished. Just choose withever one you think you could do the nicest job with! ~Thrash
12. Good job dennimator! I'm not sure how you have your pieces sorted, but if you didn't already have all those gold and treasure peices seperated, it must have been quite a job finding them all. I really like the way you did those banners on the outside, those will look really when everything is stacked together! ~Thrash
13. Hmm...if vampires can't enter churches than my MOC certainly has a big problem. Originally I was going to make it look like the cross on top was snapped in half, but I just couldn't get it to look quite right. I'll go with you on this one and say that he redecorated quickly. When I built the flame I just thought of it as a flame to dangle someone over to torture them with heat. Then when I was writing up the post with the pictures, I thought "hey, maybe it would be funny to say that he's cooking his victim." In hindsight, I don't think that vampires really eat people, they just suck their blood. Since cooking someone to death would prevent them from producing more blood, the vampire would probably not use this technique. The feather tickling idea would just end up making this look like some sort of kinky fetish chamber... You're right about the skeleton. I tried both with and without the hair, and I thought it looked better with, so that's what I went with. If you want to be a stickler for details, I'll say that the only place on his body that still has skin is his scalp right under his hair ~Thrash
14. This is great. I really like the monkey skull and the pit in the water, but my favorite detail is the Islander guy with all the yellow and red around him. I'm glad you posted a close up of him. Like other people have said, just post a link to the entire folder...It would be nice to see all of the picture you've taken of this great MOC. ~Thrash
15. Nope. But I guess since I've already started replying to this thread I might as well sign up anyway. ~Thrash
16. For my third and final creation of the weekend, I've made a Torturer's Chamber! Head on over to the Beta Group Thread for more pictures! ISC, here's the code for all three of my latest MOCs: ~Thrash
17. Thanks! Ha, that would defeat the whole purpose of the Community Castle Build! Thanks, I really like the idea of a medieval theme park to fill up some of the empty space. Whoever chooses to do that will have a really fun time building it. I try to make each MOC of mine as unique as possible to add to the variety in the town. Baba Yaga's hut may have taken that idea to the extreme... Exactly what Sandy said The themepark icecream stands are exactly what I had in mind while making it! I'm glad that you guys could all tell that it was supposed to be a Wizard Hat roof...I would have felt kind of foolish if everyone had been like "What the heck is up with the cone roof?" Since you guys liked those two so much, here's my last one for the weekend...the Torturer's Chamber! Overall: The torturer has three main ways to torture people: a rack, a little jail that he can put them in to watch them, taunt them, and poke them, and then a chain hanging above an open flame. The flame isn't as much for torture as it is for the Torturer to be able to cook his victims before eating them...: Did I mention that the Torturer is really a vampire and sleeps in his coffin under the floorboards when he's not torturing people? That's why he lives in an old abandon church with the windows boarded up and bats all around: When he gets tired of torturing and doesn't want to eat them, he just hangs them outside for all to see: The Torturer, his sexy prisoner who he often pokes (no dirty joke intended, but it certainly turned out that way), Roasting Ralph, and the screaming man on the rack: Hope you guys like it! The reason I chose to go with a vampire Torturer is because I thought an old abandoned church would look really cool on the outside. Also, what medieval town would be complete without it's own vampire? Also, I left the left side of the module completely open since that's where it attaches to the dungeon. Whoever builds the dungeon might want to build some stairs leading up to mine with a nice little door so that the dungeon guards can send people over to get torturered more easily. 18. Khorne, your Butcher shop looks great so far. I can't wait to see all the details when it's finished! On a different note, I just finished my Wizard's Guild and Witch's Hut! Head on over to the Beta Group Thread for more pictures! ISC, here's the thumbnail code to add to the first page ~Thrash
19. I took a little while off to let other people get some creations built, but now I'm back with a Wizard's Guild! Overall: A better shot of the roof and the portal. The portal was inspired by Rocko's creation of the Viking and the wormhole: With no roof. My intent with the man's head in the Crystal ball wasn't to make the Wizard look like a sick cannibal. It was supposed to look like he could look into the crystal ball to communicate with another Wizard at another guild: A few more details like the books and the chest in the back: The wizard's familiar, the Wizard, and the man coming through the portal. I just got my order from brickforge with the blue staff, so I had been itching to use it: Hopefully I can get one or two more creations done this weekend, but I'm running out of 16x16 baseplates! EDIT: I managed to finish another one tonight! This time I've done a Witch's Hut. It's not on the list, but I figured it would be a cool addition and could easily replace something else on the list that no one feels like doing It might seem like an odd design, but it's modeled after Baba Yaga's cabin with chicken legs. In particular, I modeled it after Baba Yaga's Cabin in Quest for Glory 1 (a game I played when I was young). Here's a screenshot from the game so you know what I'm talking about: Overall: A small boy in a cage for her to either eat or turn into a frog and then frogs in the glass cages that used to be people. Also note the skeleton in the cauldron ready for her to eat: Here's the fireplace. I've never tried to make one on an angle before, but I was really pleased with the way this one turned out: A shot from the top to show the roofing technique and the little wings on top of the cabin that it can use to fly away if it needs to: Baba Yaga and her caundron: I had a lot of fun building it, so I hope you guys like the way it turned out! 20. I'd just point it at the big stone wall between me and the girl and hope the wall holds up... Or you could always just lie down and let the cannon ball go over your head. Seriously though, this MOC is a a million times better now that you smoothed everything out. Great job! ~Thrash
21. Thats awesome Lasse D. All of the details are wonderful, but my favorite thing is the little painting station. I doubt anyone's gonna try to build a better carpenter than that one... Can't wait to see what module you do next! ~Thrash
22. My last post might have been a bit confusing, so I made the following picture to further illustrate my point. With the wall on the 10 modules by the keep, we could just shift the pieces on top of the catwalk so that it looks like they're facing out: That way it will be easy to switch modules between the inside 10 and outside wall if we decide that a different arrangement is better. Also, here is V7 with a slightly updated Keep (someone mentioned they wanted a Prince's Chamber, so I made room for one): ISC, here is the code for the updated list of modules. I figured you already have enough work keeping up with thumbnails and such, so I didn't want this updated layout to cause you to have any more work. 1. Main Gatehouse - Dragonator 2. Treasury - Dennimator As always, you're the one in charge, so feel free to change any of the items on the list or the order, or even redo the entire thing. Mainly, I just tried to integrate the list of items that were possibilities with all of the modules we already had listed. I tried to keep most of the shops and recreational modules towards the front left, while the military and industrial modules are closer to the back right. ~Thrash
23. Today I was looking at layout V7 and realized that it might be a problem for moving modules around if the 10 modules by the keep don't have an outside wall. To fix this problem, I think that those modules should also have the wall, and we can just fix the catwalk on those modules. That way we will be able to switch one of those modules with an outside module if we think that the structure fits a different location better. Plus, it might look cool to have a walk way right around the keep wall. What do you guys think? ~Thrash
24. Ha, that's a pretty clever idea to have all the races coming together over alcohol. It will look great heading towards the tavern! I really like the wagon, I think it sets a perfect example of the type of thing that we want filling up the space between the keep and the outer modules. ~Thrash
25. Sure. The guidelines state: -More than one person may build a module, we will have a vote off to decide which is prefered. Eventually we will probably have multiples of each anyway. You can build the dungeon or anything else you want, just make sure that you make the walls right. Also, be sure to make the module the right size. In the case of the Dungeon, you should make it 32x32. ~Thrash
