[Comic] 222nd Legion Chronicles - Arrival on Helioscaunt
Zorro replied to Clonecommando007's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Looks very good, but your texts can be barely read on my laptop (which has a small screen) Your "comic" is neat, man ! I await the next episodes of them. Another from me. -
Your Coelacanth is a beautifull little ship, I like the building style and the color pattern, and the cockpit has a cool design. It clearly show some good details and your engines are looking realistic as well. Please build more...

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
Zorro replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I dont see any relations with Lego Star Wars, but I must say I like Clone Wars. The animations are well-drawn and action-filled. The only negative point I can find is that the episodes are too short. On the dutch cartoon Network they used to play double episodes, but that was for the repeat-episodes only, so I doubt they will do so with the NEW episodes. I do await them impatiently... -
Q's & A's on instructions, tutorials, scans, book reviews
Zorro replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I have seen one unoffical instructions booklet for Lego on a local secondhand market about a year ago; It was made by an university student, probably to make him some money. I took a quick peak, but if I remember right he only had City, Space, Castle and Pirates sets in this, no Star Wars. Does anyone ever made an instructions book(let) for himself? If so, do you have a link? (Star Wars or Pirates only please...) -
Nice job you did, Dj Force. 25 USD is quite much for the number of pieces, but Factory builds are always more expensive... I think the 10200 Custom Garage brings a lot of possibilities or those that love building cars, there are some unique bricks that can be found here. After seeing this, I must admit one can build nice things with LDD. I had doubts about LDD after seeing some of the later LDD build MOCs... Keep 'em building Dj Force !

I just picked up a 1729 Barnacle Bay on Belgian kapaza.be for only 5 euro (+5 for S&H) Too bad there are only limited Lego-sellers down here, but if there is one, I mostly do some great bussiness with them. Kapaza is a lot cheaper then eBay in most cases. Most of them just don't know the prizes of discontinued Pirates Lego...lucky for us that is.

I didnt know you had such large ships, Captain Green Hair. I like your flagship, it makes me think about another MOC I have seen on Brickshelf, it had the same hull colours. Your Mort Royale looks great BTW, I enjoyed your Brickshelf pics a lot ! Admiral Bewier to the steering wheel !

Fluyt (and others) are right. It is not entirely according to the rules and guidelines, not evil enough, it is really a nice MOC, but I'm afraid you won't win a price with it in THIS contest... Do not let that discourage you, there is still plenty of time left before the competion closes! (and you can make entries for the other classes as well) Best of luck !

I eagerly await the twist you are going to add to your beautofull background. The horse looks good. FACTS is the largest cosplaying event in the BeNeLux (for US members and others that don't know BeNeLux is a wordcontraction of BElgium, the NEtherlands and LUxemburg: three European nations that work together on many levels and scales like economy, defense,...) Look here WHAT ??"The convention F.A.C.T.S. is organised once a year by Con-Fuse, an organisation which promotes Science Fiction, Comics, Fantasy and Japanese animation." WHERE?? That Captain's movement is hilarious ! (And that red plume vou've added...) It is a really funny and cool MOC you have made here, keep up the good work ! Isn't that a Banjo ??

My opinion: Beautifull little MOC, I like your vultures and "theme". Possible improvements: 1) Trees usually are different in the desert, they have no or few branches since branches use loads of liquids (water) and in most deserts there is a shortage of this Maybe a palm tree or a cactus-like plant would look better. But this is a minor thingie... 2) Jopiek is right about the blood, if you want something "gore", you could add some pieces of flesh. 3) If you take a pic like this, I think it would be better to lay the plates into the other direction, that would reduce the "stripes" between the plates, since they would be partially hidden/unseen. But in overall I like it , keep up the good work. (this is my new "commenting style")

1° Use some odor reppelant (a lot of it), ONE THAT CHEMICALLY BINDS !!!(I hope I express this correctly, but you mean which type of odor reppelant I mean...) 2° Open all windows and/or doors, and create a "flow"(you get this by opening windows on both sides of your house and having no closed doors between the rooms that have these windows) 3° Wash your Lego, floors and walls with water and standard soap. Keep your "flow" while doing so, and for at least half an hour afterwards. This should do the trick, if not: repeat and use stronger soap/odor reppelant

I hadn't seen those yet, and I am really glad I did now. They are simply said FANTASTIC ! And funny too, like in Episode 2, where the Penguin and Batman and Robin degrade eachothers cars, everytime they hit them. (Penguin ends up with a one-wheeled cycle) I hope more will be made in the future, I have bookmarked the site and I will keep checking the forum for them as well. Thanks for the link, ???theriddler???.

I think it looks reasonable. At least the parts that we can see, since it does not look fully completed yet. Probably because the LDD brick limitations. Maybe a ladder (I think this is a correct English term) could be added in some way? I only have used LDD a couple of times so I do not know enough about this.

The holsters are great, and so is your Captain Fordo minifig ! Well..., I have to agree, you have now really surpassed yourself I am a reasonably new member, but I have seen your previous creations. They were all fine without exception, but you are advancing with large steps. SO: a very big from me

HOLY Molly ! This is some work.... I love it ! Man, he should have rented a large garage or something, how is he going to build it completely in there ? just teasing... I love all those sliding-doors he uses, and the fact he has multiple levels, a lot of MOCs, even of this size, only have 1 or 2.

Admiral Woodhouse, seconded by Governor Broadside, thirded by king Kahuka. I like the torso/bicorne/plume combination of Woodhouse a lot, and since I am a fan of the Napoleonic-era, I must put the Blue- and Redcoat commanders on top. just following my conscience here...
-
I think I will buy the game ! It looks realistic, and you can command entire armies like in the Cossacks series, but with super-graphics then. My last Napoleonic game bought, was Imperial Glory The Imperial Glory thread I like this little java-game too... Waterloo Javagame PS: The napoleonic Guide is a TOP-WEBSITE, I'm visiting it for years now, and I still like it !

Welcome here, Gladiator, pleased to have you with us. Please, feel yourself right at home in this warm and open-minded community !

Looks good, but are the two men seated ihn the back, not a bit to high (their chairs i mean)
-
Happy birthday to the both of you ! And let keep these comics coming, Kdog !
-
The interior is larger and more detailed then I expected. And yes, you are right about the Colonial 1, but I think the details on the back are the only hard thing, its also a lot smaller ten a Battlestar-sized ship like the Galactica. The interior wouldn t be that large either, at least that is what I think, since we havent seen much of it, except for the "White hall" and the stairs... Anyway, I hope you build some more, whatever the scale might be.
-
Wow, they really look very good, especcialy for their size! I like your x-wing as much as I like the Imperial Shuttle. I dont own much Star Wars Lego yet, but it is on my os so long buying list, right next to the new Pirate line and the Castle set on the frontpage !
-
I got both at release price, when I was young, I vote for the Imperial Trading Post ! Its twice the size and it comes with a nice little trading vessel, that can be used as an imperial guard ship, a pirate ship or a neutral vessel. PS: I didnt revive this old thread, I dont have the power to

My opinion: Looks great, the shelter is build on a realistical way and there are so many details everywhere. Another great MOC from you, Newright Possible improvements: Not so very much can be done to make it even better I think, but maybe you might try one of these things. 1)Perhaps you could add a second minifig, an animal like a monkey, a crocodile or something custom-made? You could let him/she/it do something so you would have a second "centre of attention", next to your pirate-minifig. (Yes, I have seen the bird, but why that color? Is it a stonen one? 2) I wouldnt be able to resist placing a fishing line... Since we are going "Robinson"style anyway, I do see he has quite a stock of food yes, but I wonder how long it will last if he keeps it stored like this (animals, ants, rodents,...) I see the Anchor line but I dont see its purpose, if that is a fishing line, then Im sorry 3) Are you certain he wants to point his at his shelter? Not that he can operate it well by himself but I just wouldnt rest comfortably knowing a was pointing at me Yeah I know, all little stuff, but its just that your MOC is so great already
