Zorro replied to Rijkvv's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, for being "out of the game" for some time, this looks incredibly good. I could not guess that it would be a first one after a time of not-building. How long were your Dark Ages? Sadly the dark ages seem to be something all (or at least the very most) of us must go through... BUT WE ALWAYS COME BACK Please build some more and I eagerly await the fresh pics... -
Hi Buttons, I hope to see much MOCs and mosaics from you, hope you feel welcome on the forum !

My opinion: Cruelty factor: 8,5/10 Details: 8/10 (don't add much more or it might get too crowded and cluttered !) A very nice MOC, I especcialy like the blood use Possible improvements: 1) You use to many common/standard faces, replace some with screaming or cruel looking ones ! Make it even more cruel... 2) The water looks to unrealistic, add some light blue to represent the shores, and perhaps you could try tiling the water. 3) Make it look more realistic by altering the way your minifigs "move", eg. one imperial guard just carries his musket like he is taking a walk in the park ! Minor / non-brick related improvements: 1) Leave some space between your pics. You could use that space to add some additional information about what is going on in that pic. Also see you post all off your pics in the same "direction", your fith picture is standing on his head (sorry if this is a bad expression, I don't know the exact English term)

I played the game (wii) a few time at a friends house, and the gameplay was OK for me, off course I didn't play it for hours so maybe it was too short to notice. I would love to see a sequel, with other characters, that is...

I can't see the pictures? Is everyone experiencing this problem? Please post them at brickshelf, General Armendar, and then put the links in your message.

LEGO eBAY Sellers (Where do they get this stuff?)
Zorro replied to Badsneaker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hong Kong... I am afraid they all must have very good connections with TLC (or rather said: with one of the line chiefs, who must be on their payrolls, when they produce some "reserve" items for replacements and so...) That is my theory at least... I don't believe in fairytales or people saving 100ds of these sets to release them later at normal prices to the crowd... -
Oh, OK, I agree to your logic. And I didn't know that it would be so hard, I don't know anything about the software you guys use. And actually, I was also kidding a bit... I thought there were like 5 or 6 Fellows, but now I've seen there are 35 ! (not all active though) So as I said before, that would become a "title-slugfest" if there were given such porwer that is . I like the system you and your collegues are currenly using, it's very transparant (red names, clear titles and ranks,...) and I knew from the beginning to who I would have to talk if I had a problem with eg. this or that ! And there is always at least a MOD online. So... for the staff !

Great 1st time Flickr find Detroit mansion (you've probably seen i
Zorro replied to Badsneaker's topic in LEGO Town
This is a very good find of you Badsneaker, this Detroit mansion looks so very real compared to some other recent house MOCs I have seen on Brickshelf and Flickr. The scale of the mansion must be measured, it looks very (close to) an architects "minibuilding" in any case... I must admit I shortly felt the desire to build one as well, but I was quickly drawn down by reality, since I have so much to do now I just don't have the time to spare... Good luck with yours ! Your roof looks great. -
If I would have to make a wild guess, I would say there are 35 of you guys...But that is just an estimation of all the names I ever saw and remembered from the topics. Yes, I know I have an memory. (just used the members search function and selected Fellows) Why...you....want to....kill...me??? Just messing around. PS: I didn't even notice I got another "upgrade" ! Now I am a Knight of the knighthood of Holy Brick ! Yeey !

I'm thinking of making a small Vampire Moc, if I can get at least two other Vamirex (I only have one "sucker") that is, since they are quite rare and my current Lego-budget has already been used for building my Napoleonical army. In regard to the MOC I am thinking of a simple graveyard with one newly bitten Vampire arising from his grave, and the two other waiting next to it, holding his first dinner as a welcome surprise. A vampire hunter spies them from behind a grave, standing ready to stop the Vampire Newbie from taking his first bite, and to try to destroy the 2 senior Vampires ! Just a small one, let's say 16x16 or so. But first I must save me some money to buy the bricks I need. BTW I think horror is a great theme for Lego MOCs !

I didn't play in the game, but I followed your adventures every "game" day. I really enyoid them. Next time I will try to join, this seems to be loads of fun AND a good strategy training. I am looking forward to read the rules you came up with, Hinckley, and so I can study them at once, for the next Baritones game... Hinckley, you're the man here ! (PS: "Poor" old Carter... dying so cruelly)

Hi there GIR3691. This is a very warm and nice community you have entered, I think you will feel right at home here ! Very nice to have you with us here ! Have fun.

It keeps getting better and better... EDIT: I asked zepher if he made the duckthingie, but i remembered it too late it was shown. He answered very fast, even before I could edit You're doing good, zepher, keep up the great work. That duckchicken-thing is SOooo neat ! "experiment gone wrong"

Thank Teddy, this really comes in handsome ! Not for my classic medieval castle, but for the piratecastle I am building to go with my newest ship MOC.

It looks really good knowing the limitations of LDD (TLC really should do something about that...ADD MORE BRICKS !) Maybe EB should create a tag for "LDD master designers" You would most probably get one ! Keep up the good work, Joey Lock.

Well, this is FANTASTIC. My advise: 1) You SHOULD have made a spoof account and entered the competition with it ! 2) Where are all of the staff sigfigs? We, the non-staff members, want to see how you guys slaughter yourselves ! 3) You need at least 1 million pictures to be eligible to enter, and you don't fulfull some of the other "staff-entries" requirements either ! SHOW US THE OTHER 999.999 pics at once ! Question: HOW long did this take you ??? You must have been building this before the staff competition was announced ? It would take me weeks (or at least a few complete days). X 100

It is an official Lego bick, i think it was a missprint. The prices on Bricklink are going crazy for these red ones !

Isn't there another (more recent) thread for this? Or was it in the "show me your army -thread" I saw your most recent army ??? Nice, extended and detailed army ,General Knowledge, I am looking forward to see the new soldiers integrated into your magnificent army ! You are the first one I saw using auxilliary units on such a large scale.

Ok...i wish you LOADS of luck... W.a.m.: A SKYDIVE?? For a horse (or some), You gotta be *** ! Unless you love horses THAT much... I would also consider making a skydive for a horse...if I got to eat it as a reward afterwards I have send this line to your fiancee, and I added that it is not respectable of her to let you risk your life for something you don't even like and that you would prefer it that you never got to know her in the first place . She told me she was leaving you right now. Finally you will be able to save more money and have some time for yourself !!! (No need to thank me, I only hope you will do the same for me when needed)

Actually, Mr.Hinckley reminds me a bit of Willy Wonka... Can we come and visit your red chocalade Lego-factory, Hinckley ??? I love raffles like these... (actually I'm addicted to gambling, just being discharged from the Psychiatric hospital, but I couldn't let this oportunity pass by.) I will never gamble again. TO HINCKLY: is there really no way to participate another dozen times ? Can I have pemission to get a few additional EB account, I've read somewhere you could get permission if your reasons are valid... ?

Oh, please upload some pics if you can, I love to see animals if they're young. CONGRATULATIONS with your marriage Adam ! I didn't know exactly what "Turd" meant, since I've heard people call someone a turd, I got confused...Therefore I looked it up in an online dictionary: (a) Turd: 1 sometimes vulgar : a piece of fecal matter 2 usually vulgar : a contemptible person

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
Zorro replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is such a great idea, ISC, but if we contend and build something (and "win"), are we supposed to actually attach it in real-life afterwards? Or only by posting pics? I mean that, after the contest is over, shouldn't we in some or other way, put these builded parts together in one large castle? I think that would be neat, especcialy considering the many different building styles that would be used. I will await more intel before I will consider posting my entry for a builders position, since I already have too few time rebuilding my original Lego sets and my Napo-army.... for those that contend and for the Clonescreamer !
