60 USD for a Hoth Rebel Base is very cheap indeed. I have heard a lot about Toys r us in this forum, does anyone know there are Toys r us shops in Belgium?? Does us stand for US ? I took a quick "google" but that turned out empty, unless the shops have a different name in Belgium. (I did find a foreign online shop but shipping is too high) If any exist in the BeNeLux, does one know then if they are cheaper then regular toystores?? Currently all we have are Bart Smits (very expensive) and some smaller chains like Blokker (small choice and expensive too), so that is the reason I am asking this. Thanks in advance !

3 levels of cannons, woowiee ! One for the index. I love the lifeboats too. I knew Captain Greenhair was involved in this ! The ship looks fabulous ! I am feeling jealous... I want to steal it, but I am afraid it's too large to fit in my car.

The Elven sets would be great, but I really think we are getting so much already we have no reason to complain. Releasing the Medieval Market is something I couldn't even dream off, it contains so much new accessories and minifigs, and the Orcs get their new Queen. As I said before, I that Orc Queen... (no, not THAT way)

Just as your other items, I like them a lot ! IMHO the 2 new pistols (Navy Colt and Derringer) are amongst the best historical looking pistols you've made till now.

Thank you very much for making these, I WILL definatly order rapiers and bayonets for my Napoleonic Army and pirates ! The bayonet especcialy looks sooo good !

We thank you for this fantastic new line of weapons, the M21 Sniper rifle is amazing, but my favorite is the combat knife (yeah, I know that sounds weird) since it has so many different possibilities and uses ! It can even be used by my pirates ! The shotgun looks neat, the Lee Enfield too. The baseballbat is cool too, but I don't have any use for it with my chosen themes... The covert weapons and zombie defense packs have some allround uses as well, I think I might order them to go with my upcoming German army (not WW II, but Cold War)

We await the next episode. Your comics are very good, I'm currently reading all the comics I can find, and yours belonge to the top ! I also read the Walruss and the Wacker yesterday, man those are hilarious ! I like it a lot that people are making these comics for their fellow members, it costs a lot of time and creativity, and I don't know if I have the skills, but I promise I will make one myself soon. I thank you for your contributions to the forum Dreamweb ! I like 'em all.

My opinion: Indeed, my fellow members are right: this is not entirely what the Pillage the Village contest is about. Referring to Star Wars in your MOC is one thing, but other things, like real cruelty, lack as well. I suggest you rethink part of your concept. Your building skills are good, that I can see. Do you have few "real" piratebricks? Then might I suggest you take a look at Guss' MOC, he has found some inventive and original ways to deal with a Pirate brick shortage. Possible improvements: 1) Are you certain you would place this entry in the medium area? You shouldn't pass 16 dots in ANY direction, at least that is what I understood. If I were you, I would check it with the rules and Mr. Phess. 2) Don't copie a Star Wars episode and then just build it the Pirate way, I think you can addopt some "clue's" (like title and names), but this is clearly too much. I'd loose the Millenium-Falcon lookalike boat first and would replace it with a sloop. 3) Don't you have any pirate hats for your Imperial Soldiers? I mean bicornes, tricornes, shako's,... IMHO even a normal hairpiece would be better then medieval helmets. 4) Loose some smilies and resize your pics. Follow the rules, it would be a pity to get disqualified for something little. 5) I would make a square "base", instead of a random one, or like Erdbeereis suggests: make it a little less random. Overall this is a good starter's MOC, if you could make some of the improvements suggested by the members it would look cooler and more beautiful. Have fun in the contest !

Admiral Ackbar, Hoth Luke and some Scuba Clones would be neat, especcialy the Scuba Clones can be used I think (depends on how they are made). Many of the minifigs you guys suggest to create/to be released, I don't even recognize... Damned be the slow releases of Clone Wars cartoons and other SW stuff down here in Belgium ! I gotta get myself an international sattelite !

I agree for 200% with samthelegoman1 about this statement. Another possibility would be a pirate in the water swimming to the island where we find a shipwrecked imperial sitting with his back to the pirate (didn't hear him comming yet). Or a bunch of sharks swimming around the island while the pirate sits in the tree .

Yup, they had even some simple clocks during the Middle Ages, and Swiss was known for these even back then. But do know only (very) rich people could afford them, like rich farm- and plantageowners, admirals, commodores, high-ranking officers,... . Just don't put one in the guards quarters I mean.

My opinion: You have made a funny entry for the Pillage the Village Contest. I think the line above states a lot. Funny is good, but not if funny is all it is...after all it is called the Pillage the Village contest. There is no cruelty involved in your nice MOC, so although it looks good (and funny), it is simply said UNSUITABLE for this contest. I am truely sorry, but I think you don't have a chanche of winning a prize with this. Do not give up, and try to create something that follows the rules, both the written rules as the silent rules ! (If you get what I mean...) Possible improvements: 1) It has little purpose trying to bring improvements to something that is basically wrong. Therefore I will post none but these(yet!): FIRST: READ the rules and the threads that comes with it very carefully. SECOND: change the "base" (not baseplate, your background is OK BTW) of your MOC, bring in cruelty and apply the other rules and hints. THEN: repost another MOC in this thread, and I will do my very best to give you suggestions to make it better (if that would be possible )and, as I am certain, so will the others. 2) You could go with bringing in small improvements like Guss and Erdbeereis suggested, but I warn against it. Even with these and possibly other improvements, I do not think you can win THIS contest with it. But it is YOUR MOC, not mine...I only make humble suggestions. I do not want to be harsh or negative, I only want to give you a helping hand because I think you haven't read the introductionary threads as you should have. I can clearly see you have the skills that are required to make a winning entry, I wish you the best of luck ! (Boy, this was hard for me...)

I tried it sometimes, to build an army with the "replacements parts" from The Lego Store, but I never ordered it, because the choice of (primarely)torsos is so incredibly limited. And you can't give crossbows or sticks to your entire army. Because it is so cheap, I must admit it is a great source of items, supplies and accesories, if you don't have these at least... As said so many times, I hope they expand this "store" a lot. It could become a really good source of income for TLC.

Really cool and good-looking MOC. I like the Austrian flag you've used, even if it hasn't got anything to do with it. The missiles look great and I like your gunship's front. from me ! And let them keep coming, I noticed you were a new member, but you clearly have some experience building MOCs.

And another great review from one of our Academy teachers, I always look forward reading them ! I think the Battlepacks for Castle are a great initiative from TLC. I like this one, but also the one with the Skellies, you get some different looking soldiers and a few weapons and shields, so that's cool. The low prices make it so that most people could build a large army/battle if they want to. A big for your review and another for TLC for making these.

I love what you have done so far, it is really starting to look good, and its just the backgound you've build. I like the wall on the right, the gradual change from water to grass and the vegetation. PS: look out that someone doesn't use your Palmtree to jump from it right into your fortress (unless that is what you have in mind off course). I am looking forward to see the minifigs, the "story" and details added.

The TI-TA TITO TRAIN... You have succeeded in creating a very nice MOC, I like the topic of The Blue Train, and I must honestly admit, for a first attempt this looks (x10). I have been to Zagreb, but I didn't visit the Railway Museum, I pitty that now... Please, keep up the good work you are doing by building this historical Train of General/President Tito !

My reason to vote for a taxcollector has already been stated. I voted for a pharmacy/doctors house because they can be used in eg. tournaments and to take care of the sick and wounded (and let them die a lot earlier in most cases...), I would give them tools like a saw and cutting knifes. A Lord would be something that can't be missed. Since it is a market, I would prefer a mayor or a count over a knight, after all it is not a battlefield. Priest(s) would be nice since we don't have any, we have moncs but that is not the same. i would like to see a "Roman church-style" priest. But as said, I doubt TLC will release one. Did I really have to put: "THIS IS A JOKE" underneath it?? Off course I knew....and I think everyone would take a 10% taxsystem...exept those who live in Monaco, since they pay NO taxes at all (the happy few). Actually, we living in Belgium and the Netherlands pay the highest taxrate in the WORLD ! An AMAZING 55% to 60%!!! (ask Captain Green Hair or Bonaparte, I'm certain you will have ruined their day just by doing so )

Sad indeed...I hope you will (re)gain some money soon. And I'll be watching that Skull Island of yours. Keep the spirit high , times will change ! They always do, mostly when you don't even expect it.

No medieval (or recent) city can live without a tax collector ! The graveyard, combined with the church, gives some nice possibilities as well, hopefully TLC doesn't think these are too "religious" or "political"... BTW: Did you guys know you had to pay 1/10th of your income to your Lord in these days? If there was no Lord in your village or if you were a "Freeman", you were expected to pay this same ammount to the church. One tenth of your harvest (or commerce) ! Can you believe that ??? And here we all b*t*h about us having to pay high taxes, I think we all should be happy the taxsystem of the Middle Ages is behind us One tenth of your income waisted like that...UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE.

I love the new Hulk, Ironman and the second (and third !) X-men. I would however go with the Fantastic Four (Rise of the Silver Surfer) because it introduces a new "power", I also like how Dr. Doom gets a role in this, and how they are forced to work together to save the world. For a short time, that is... And last but not least...I Jessica, I am going to marrie her and have lots of children with her. She will buy me a ferrari and build me a manor in England, buy me a castle in Austria and huge loads of Lego. (and Eurobricks too). Mom calls: Little Zorro, its nine o'clock, bedtime now! Zorro: Yes mommy. But first I want to look at some of Jessica Albas pictures on internet ! Mom: Ok, little Zorro, but leave your door unlocked this time !
