They look ok, but why didnt you give Karl a black face with a custom made decal? IMHO,I think its pretty easy to make since he only has eyes through his mask .

Wow, now you have made me really jealous... She has some really nice pics on there, I really love her costumes as well: Emeraldas looks great, but she looks in-cre-di-ble good as Gatekeeper jasmine, she a born cosplayer with natural "Elvish" looks. Thanks for the links, my cousin and her husband (both 26) love cosplaying as well (W-O-W, middle ages and LOTR), but I dont remember links to their pages. Have you ever visited FACTS in Belgium yet? After taking a secondary, more intense look and taking the opinion of my fellow members into consideration, I can give you the following advise. (my opinion can be found up) Possible improvements: 1) I would recommend to rebuild the large pole in another color or with another kind of bricks, although this one looks reasonable, I doubt it will win a prize because of the pole...Sorry, just want to be honest... 2)Maybe you could add some blood on the tiles down of the gallows (the hanged one spawns out buckets of blood because hes shocing or something ...)Maybe put a dagger in his torso as well and then you could lay down some "intestins/organs" as well ! 3)Putting a small red brick on or in the crows mouth might add some cruelty as well.µ 4)Add "Work in Progress" to ya title or title description, so people know it from the beginning its not yet the final version, but off course those who read the threads in total (as it should be done BTW) would know this anyways. 5) Putting an executioner next to the gallows (or on it) would make the MOC look more "comprehensive" and "filled" I think. ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE JUST TIPS, please do not see anyhing as negative comment. Have fun building, and keep up the good work ! I would give you a 10 for creativity, for making a Pirate scene with the bricks that come from different themes. I am waiting anctiously for your final version ! OH, WE ARE BEING GREEDY, ARE WE !!! WELL, I am currently digitalizing her, with the picture of her hand, wrist and forearm I should be able to recreate her on my PC. After that, and with my digitalization, I will have her DNA calculated by the University of Brussels (they have some experience at this). With her DNA as a base, I can make the necessary changes to develop my perfect woman. Third and last step will be to artificially generate this DNA and plant it in an embryo...letting it grow for 18 years. According to my computer she should look like this:

Well, well, I havent seen such large and well-made Blacktron spaceship for a long time, I really like the interior and your small Blacktron II army that comes with it, including the wide array of homebuild weapons you have given them. The four fighters, carried by your "carrier" unit look very nice too, and the carrier itself is a piece of art. Congratulations with you second place (next time maybe better ) I hope to see more Blacktron creations in the near future !

My opinion: Good looking contest entry, and since it is a Work In Progress, you can still make a lot of improvements. PS: i would like to have a lego-loving girlfriend like you as well...If she becomes available on the market again, please PM me Possible improvements: 1) Add some "undeep" water near the coastline, I can see what you did near the coastline and I dont know if that aspect is yet finished, but i still think some colorchange can be a positive thing. I would add this escpeccialy where the boat has stranded. 2) The stranded boat: see point 1, and I would add some loose wooden planks or other remnants (it looks to "complete" for an old stranded boat, I refer to, it as old since the sails and ropes are removed:rotten away. PS: THIS IS A GREAT IDEA TO add in a harbour !!! 3) I would give your pirate ship some kind of steeringwheel, this adds to realism: I think I heard you say you didnt have much piraty stuff, and no hulls either (I can be wrong but if I remember you saying something like that, and also you needed the BSB !) SO: you build a beautifull ship for having so few pirate bricks/hulls. i must say the same about your sails: another 4)the yellow sand goes over to green grass: a bit abrupt to my taste.... but thats just MHO. 5)the roof of ya light house is brown, but you are using stonecolored bricks, Ithink a stone building like a lighthouse deserves a stone roof. in this case I would go for black. (or I would try this at least, if you have please excuse me: just trowing up suggestions here!) Black goes ,IMHO, better with the other bricks of the lighthouse anyway. 6)add more minifigs , but I'm sure you know that, you stated it is a work in progress.... The fact I added "possible improvements" does not state I do not like your MOC ! I just "designed" a new rating system that reflects as much details as possible. My rating: zorro3999 loves your girlfr....ERRHH....your contest entry VERY MUCH Keep up the good work, Guss ! Its amazing how much you can do with so few "pure" piratebricks ! for now, a 9/10, but obviousqly that can change...

I am a hughe fan of Battlestar Gallactica and have all 3 seasons on DVD...(in Belgium only 3 were already released on DVD, in the US maybe more, I dont know) Anyway i can say: it looks GREAT !! I voted outstanding and I mean it. from me I cant wait: a Viper would be neat, but also the Cylon Raiders would be nice. What about Colonial 1 ? I think building this one would be easier then Galactica. For those who dont know what a Raptor is: its a small transport-like spaceship with a lot of different scanners and equip^ment on board. It is often used to scout and/or scan area's (for survivors, enemies,...) or to assist groundattacks (by bombing). It is not a very good fighter, although it has some air-to air weapons (incl. missiles) Its basic crew consists of 2 men: a pilot and a navigator/computercontroller.

AMAZING ! But I fear the price will be amazing as well I think I will buy it anyway, after I've purchased the new pirates/soldiers that is, and if I have enough money by then... I agree lego can make non-licensed Adventure sets on it own.

IMHO, adding a small lookout tower would be enough, in relation to the limited space you have.

Luigi's is fantastic. The rest of your MOCS look great too, but my favorite is Luigi's... Please continue like this, Tanotrooper.

Your photography skills have clearly improved, just as millacol88 pointed out. I like the minifigs. There is not much else I can say...

My opinion: A very nice little MOC for the contest. I really like it, it has everything it needs and it clearly appears to comply with the demands of the contestjudges/administration. You have chosen a very creative subject, and have represented it well. I do not fully understand why you already entered though, and didnt wait for everyones comments and/or advise. Possible improvements: 1) The transition between the shoreline and the water looks to abrupt. The shoreline clearly has some heigth differences in it and it is obvious this should be continued when going under sealevel. As suggested by Newright and other members, I advice you to add some light-blue plates (tiles) near the coaststroke to represent the "undeep water". 2)IMHO,a grey shovel looks more realistic then a black one (if you have one, that is...) 3) Giving the woman another color(eg.red) of hair would make it look better I think, it certainly would alter the current color pannel, which contains a lot of brown already. Did you experiment with it? Try it and maybe it would look better... 4)Adding some Old-Grey "rocks" in the sand could also change this. I think it might be wise to experiment with it. 5)As said, put in "WORK IN PROGRESS" next time, you never know something usefull will turn up... The fact I added so much "possible improvements" does not state I dot like your MOC, because I do ! I just "designed" a new rating system that reflects as much details as possible. (no, nothing to do with the contest, I will now use this system in all extensive reviews I will make) My rating: 8,5/10

We could really use some (cheap) custom stuff, like shakos and weapons for pirates, weapons for Star Wars,... These are available through others but they are often (very) expensive. Please show us your creations if you have the time.

They look very good, but Pencoin is right about Hiro.

They look nice, as far as I can see, because of the blurry pics. If you take a pic of a Lego minifig with a backpack, try to take it from the side or back...and use a white background (or at least an "even" one). But anyway, they look realistic and quite good at first sight.
