  1. True, but that is so with a lot of series/cartoons (eg. Roadrunner (MIP-MIP) ) No, you are right, its cool for one season but then it just gets boring... Id choose SWCW above Lyoko anytime.
  2. A really good set it seems, but a little expensive, even with 625 pieces. Cool skull, but I would have preferred at least 1, possibly 2 extra minifigs (another Russian soldier/guard?) Good review wulf !
  3. Nice find. I like his castles too, probably even more then his 18th century fire brigade, but I guess that is just because I love castles so much
  4. Very, very, very well done comrad TinyPiesRUs ! A realistical and cool MOC. Not one negative point from me.
  5. I read the fact is has 5000minifigs on it on a Dutch website (miniland.nl) that holds track of Lego world records, I must admit it looks unbelievable so I dont know if its true or not, some carriers have even up to twice that amount but representing that with Lego ??? Maybe it should be 500, that would be believable. I can understand why people are getting excited about such an event, I would be too if I knew I'd be able to make a visit! I also understand your point some people dont "get" how large 6m is... I can barely do so myself (my sleeping room is only 6m so...) for Ed and his Hood !
  6. Its getting better every time you added another part. Maybe a very little more light would be better, I know I said I'd like it and I still do, but I think your pics are becomming darker and darker. A very good job anyhows, Im looking forward to the next episode.
  7. There are some people involved in making customs on this forum, but that is very difficult and expensive. How do you make yours? Do you have a pic of the marines hat, Im interested in that since I'm into historical Lego building.
  8. Is your friend aiming to break the world record (largest Lego ship) Ive read the Hood would measure over 6 meters The carrier of Malle Hawking was/is (as you know, but some others maybe not) 4,52 m long, 1,37 m broad, 1,22 m high and measured 160 kg. More then 300.000 bricks were used and it had over 80 airplanes and more then 5000 crewmen. That was good for the world record (in 2006) and according to my sources it still has the world record. I could have overlooked it, but I didnt find any other statistics from the Hood like size and crew. I wish you both much luck on the Greay Western Lego Show, your creations will certainly attract a lot of (positive) attention. I wasnt comparing the Hood to any other ship, I even said we should wait because on the pic above it wasnt finished yet. PS: I like your Swordfish MOC
  9. I gave it a 4 (above average). I like the set, but even down here in Belgium I think it is more expensive (50 euros seems to be cheap). Good review.
  10. Hand painted...well, it looksvery good ! Maybe you could have brought some colordetails in the handguns too.
  11. Thank you for the additional pics Cartoondude. The Green-haired dude is right about the flags though.
  12. Listen to santa Claus people, he knows whats he's talking about! Lego is the wisest investment you can have, look at the Pirate and Star Wars sets ! Some sets double their value in 2 years time ! And those rates are almost guaranteed. Who needs "food", "water" or "housing" anyway... There will always be rodents/roadkill, rain and bridges

The mermaid tail...I completely forgot about that...Me want a mermaid tail too! I dont expect the set to be as expensive as the BSB/Skulls Eye/.... anyway. So maybe i will buy it too... I am eager to see your next ship.
  14. Both of 'em look great ! I found some more on Brickshelf but none of them had the size of the ships posted in this thread.
  15. Instead of writing an entire story I will give you a link http://bionicle.wikia.com/wiki/Teridax It looks like an edited brotherhood "flag/poster" I think at least this is what he is referring to...
  16. A warm welcome from me too Star-Sam, I hope you will have a good time here (actually Im almost certain) You must have written at least 3 DESCENT reviews to get a bronze star, 6 for a silver, 9 for a golden. The academy teachers will err.."review your reviews" and when approved you can get your bronze sign or higher. You also "graduate" when you get your bronze star. Im a newbie in the academy too! PS: You have already signed-up down here, didnt you? You can find the information you are looking for as well. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20631
  17. If you read the entire thread you will notice we have already found out who painted it Take a look here, there a o-so-many beautifull paintings and scetches on this website! http://www.keithrocco.com/inventory/detail...p?productid=133

    New photo

Damn... I did see those pictures before but I forgot the one with the golden bridge was included. I probably only looked at the sets containing mostly soldiers... 2 soldiers included is more then the past piratenests though.

Personnaly I dont like it very much, but a picture doesnt say everything. I dont plan to purchase the ship when its released yet, maybe I'd buy its hull from Bricklink later, but that would be all. I want to spend all my money on the impulse packs and gunpacks.
  20. Nicely done... A "revolution" is a big word though.
  21. Very well done Dreamweb ! I love the spaniards, they were as cruel (or even more) then the pirates themselves ! Wiping out entire cicilizations...
  22. I dont think people will travell less YET with this kind of "crisette", but if it gets any harder, we might notice a drop in travel-bookings. Pfff...after hearing the news 5 minutes ago, it seems the financial market in belgium is clearing up a bit... So I still will have money to buy lego... TLC is sturdy as it was. It will never go bancrupt with fans like us around. if they make losses all they have to do is to raise the prices a little, most of us will keep buying their sets anyway...
  23. Are you referring to the Flemish, the Brussels, the Wallons, or the Federal Government? Or do you mean the Dutch community governemet? Or the French comm. gov.? The German comm. government? Please be more specific! Yeah...I know...its to cry about... Maybe we Flemish people should just join the Netherlands (no political view involved)
  24. Not one thats not nearly broke as well ...and Fortis is now a government owned bank. Fortis and Dexia went nearly broke in 3 days !!! 4 days ago nthey said they had enough money to stand by, yesterday they went down anothe 20%; Today they are going up a lot! Just like ALL Belgian bancs! IFwe all get our money out now, we WILL go ALL broke, that a financial rule...(yes im a good person thinking about other people like that ) I trust in my government...and I dont believe i will lose my money(not that its that much of a fortune, im only 25years old, no inheritances yet). I also still have a small flat in Brussels I could sell in case of emergency. YEEZ, did I really say I trust the government??
  25. Very well done Pat! Good idea!
