  1. Indeed, well done, you can see its a BSB because off the map against the wall, I wonder if anyone has build a pirate bed, you know, one that "swings", made of rope and saill, I dont know the name in English, but in Dutch we call it a "hangmat". That would be neat.
  2. I want to join too! But im probably too new...
  3. Wow, that really looks good!
  4. The mask of zorro will never come off! Ps: You must be trying too break the guiness world-record of replying/making posts ! Just checked the forum index and this line came up a lot Last post by: Captain Zuloo Too bad the islanders arent in the new pirate sets though, or has anyone other intel about that?
  5. Hi, I m new to the forum, this is my first post, boy do I pittie that guy named Zorro ! He seems to be missing some braincells or something ! No no, enaugh played now, I own 2 sets of enchanted Island (1 bought new when released, the other through ebay 3years ago - 1 European (6278) and 1 US/re-release?? because different boxes) I made one big island of them combined and then they used their canoes (3 catamarans of which one home-build and some "singles") to land ashore and attack. Too bad they now lie stored in boxes on the attic, I really should get them out the dust, but first my first ship MOC ! I also have King Kahuka's Throne, the Forbidden Cove and 2 catamarans (both bought together with my first island) The other minifigs I bought loose through Ebay and Kapaza, a Belgian 2nd hand site where I bought more than 1 cheap Lego set. Perhaps I could combine both series and build my French frigate ship MOC and let them be manned by my Islanders, whith many cutt-off bluecoat heads; but that seems to be such a waist of their shakos!
  6. You must add "Austrian Succession" to your search instead of a year (like 1732) I always use this technique since it gathers better info http://www.britishbattles.com/tim-reese/morier/index.htm (check out the ones for the Austrian Succession time-period (4 pages) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Brit...rian_Succession There are uniforms here from 1743, so that would be about the same, on the wikipedia link you will find some uniforms from different ranks and army branches.
  7. It looks like they are trying too keep the brickquantity and difficultylevel down for the little kiddies, but I find that very inconsiderate towards us big kiddies who, after all, have a much larger budget ! The prices would be the only thing they looked at us for, because I doubt children will get much new pirate sets for their birthday if they keep these. With these I also doubt the shako prices will lower much, unless we can buy them into the factory or from the part-buying list. Even when they dont show up there, I already have made my email up to buy them in bulk anyway possible(I just bought 100 Impulse sets and I put my shakos aside into a small plastic scale and my dog thought they where dog biscuits and he ate them ... I WANT A REFUND BECAUSE MY DOG DIED OF IT !!! YES, YOU MAY REFUND ME WITH SHAKOS ...)
  8. I love the Islanders, When I was young (last year that was, if my balded-Alzheimer infected brain thinks to remember) I often used them as a "third army" to change the outcome of a battle between imperial soldiers and pirates, letting them attack in large groups mostly against the pirates (imperial soldier fan here) as an "alliance of the Viceroy and his governors". I did this because my pirates outnumber my imperials by 2 to 1. I also used to reenact the famous battle of fort whatwhasitcaldagain, where the British ally themselves with the Indians versus the French and trapped them(or was it vice-versa? DAMN ALZHEIMER) I saw that movie several years ago and its a grateful theme for me. I know western indians would be better suited for this, but they are much more expensive and I have none of them. I do have about 40 Islanders however, they are quite cheap in Belgium if you find them. What was I talking about again?? O yes, I was telling you guys about that time I got kidnapped by Al-Qaida, when I did my second round in Vietnam, I know I was following General Knowledges orders to try too assassinate Napoleon too steal his English army, which is the reason I moved to Belgium but then Milosevic showed up and..........................ZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZ *Knor* ZZZZZZZZZ
  9. So am I, I am considering building my first ship MOC myself and am looking to steal/rob/spy/apprehend some inspiration regarding Hull Use. Can anyone tell me how much hull pieces are good to build a somewhat realistic-loking ship? (Im thinking of 3 decks, 1 storage +2 gun decks, wherefrom 1 open...it would become a French ship, class yet to be determined) This would be my first one you see, I have more than 10 spares but building longer than 4 or 5 would made it look more like a battering ram, or not??? Most MOCs ive seen dont state how much hulls they used. Thanks in advance
  10. Thanks for the warm welcome! I already feel at home.
  11. http://www.kapaza.be/Enfants/Jouets_Lego_D...ys_politie.html Maybe interresting for my fellow Belgians Sorry, I already bought the skulls eye schooner for a mere 40 euros (including box and instructions) :-) I dont know where to post it since im new, so if wrong, please (re)move and accept my apologies...
