  1. Thanks for the advise. I tried to do that, but that way he was blocking the view...You can't do that much with 8x8 knobs I'm afraid . I might experiment with it later this day, maybe I can come with something up, but I do think the guard standing lik this looks quite good also.
  2. Yes, your improvements really "tuned" it up, now it looks like a large castle indeed. BTW: Your Royal castle looks a lot better then the 7094 and 6080 Royal castles !
  3. Reality: wrap around castles. Playability: open castles. MY FAVORITE: wrap around castles...

    Some Ships

Your fleet is awesome, StoneW4 ! You got an enormous amount of cannon, I can see that for a point... Please make some more ships for your fleet (and pics of course), I always enjoy looking at them.

    My dogs

I love that dog you have there, your mut seems so nice. I only have a cat, she's 5 years old now. I used to have a black poodle, but he died of cancer 6 years ago... People that love animals usually love other people too, therefore one can say a lot about someone who keeps animals and threat them like a friend of family...
  6. Vig. 23b What is immurement? JUDGE: Captain Olaf, we find you guilty for multiple charges of murder and theft ! Do you have anything to say into your defense !? CAPTAIN OLAF: arrgg...! JUDGE: Then we condemn you to death by immurement ! CAPTAIN OLAF: yaaarrgghh...! JUDGE: Guards, take him away to the lower walls of the citadel ! CAPTAIN OLAF: grrrr.....! A high ranking officer inspecting the execution of the judge's decision! The 'actors'...
  7. My opinion: Your MOC looks fantastic, but so far it seems you only build the background, because I think it lacks action and cruelty. But you have a very nice "base" to start with, add or change a few things and I think you will even be eligible to win a prize ! I especcialy like some of the minifigs, the fire, the docks and the doorway. Possible improvements: 1) Add more action: some additional soldiers (dead or alive), more pirates and victims, an animal or 2, .... 2) WE WANT MORE BLOOD, GUTS AND INTESTINES !!! Please give us some :pir-skull: . 3) I have doubts about the function of the ...err..."guardhouse": it doesn't look that good and real to me, (just MHO though). 4) Add more scary/scared faces: let the pirates be cruel and ugly and the victims should be crying for help! (I don't know about any limitations you might have regarding this, but if you have others, then give it a try! Experiment!) 5) There are small spaces between some of your bricks (I am referring to the wall). Push a bit harder on top of them to eliminate those. Non-brick related advise: 1) FOLLOW THE RULES regarding the pictures: if you don't you might/will be disqualified ! DA RULES Your pictures are way too large BTW ! Respect the maximum of 800x600. 2) Watch your grammar and the way you construct your sentences. Maybe you could use an (online) dictionary or translation tool. Eg. One member of the once peaceful village now run by pirates writes... I think this could be done a lot better, but since English is my second language as well, I do not dare to give advise about how to improve it. 3) Add, as Erdbeereis suggests, one pic containing an overview of the entire MOC. Keep building, make some improvements and have fun with the contest !
  8. Very good MOC, Zeki, I like your 3 engines and the firestation itself looks so cool as well! The doors that can open and close like you have shown us into your pics are awesome ! I only want to see more pics of the firestation, especcialy of it's inside if you have any (and if it has an inside off course). from me.
  9. I like this very much, the blacksmith is placed in a very real-feeling environment, the fireplace is neat and the 2 golden flags are placed in a good spot. Maybe a few additional weapons could be added to show the dwarve is a blacksmith though, but in general you get a big from me ! Poor little Mickey Mouse...you wouldn't kill Mickey Mouse, would you?? Keep up the good work !
  10. Very well done Darth Andrew ! I think you have represented it as good as is possible on this scale. Maybe the Clones could improve their movements though (they are all standing) LOL, now as the protector of mankind, I feel obliged to send an email to your parents and school containing a link to this thread, please send me their emails.
  11. I post a lot as well, but that is mainly due to the fact I am online (and "on forum") for multiple hours (multi-multiple hours actually) a day because I am learning online (bachelor Social Security)and the fact I fell in love with Lego, so I go to the forum every 5 minutes . Boy, I am spending way too much time here... I don't care (much) about ranks, after all: respect is something you must deserve, not be granted for just posting a lot ! I never post anything in a topic that doesn't interest me, and always follow the rules that you should always contribute with an honest opinion and/or (preferrably fresh) information and that you shouldn't post anything useless like: "I like this, it is cool, I want to buy it". And I always try to post more then one or two short sentences. To the staff: If there is something wrong with my posts or if I post too much, please tell me. I marked some sentences because I think that everyone should know them.
  12. My updated opinion/advise: I like what you did to the faces, if you could now do something to improve the "luitenant's"(the one being stabbed by a cutlass) movements (and possibly change the side bricks) it would be a lot better already. Also post some info beneath (or above) each pic.
  13. Great set, I own it, as well as the wizards shop. I always liked it and planted it next to the dragons cage/prison, that one was made out of rocks as well, and goes very well with it. Good review, dj2005, keep 'em comming !
  14. Piratus est. Pirates all the way, although castle is a close second. Star Wars would be third, closely followed by trains and some licensed sets(Indy, Batdude,...). I prefer Pirates Lego because of there nice ships, their and the fact those imperial soldiers are so nice ! And they are suited for my Napoleonic Armies ! for pirates !
  15. Seems to be cheap, I am certain I couldn't find the Town under 130 euros here in Belgium. The larger the sets are, the more expensive (then other European countries) they seem to be, one can buy the smaller sets, like the impulse sets very cheap here, so I don't really understand the reasons behind it. It must be so that some/many sets just aren't being sold enough here, Belgium is quite small after all.
  16. Allright you admin-clowns, who changed my title ?! The revenge of Zorro, the avenger of injustice, shall be...eerr...BLOODY ! yes....and ...and...CRUEL ! This is the last time I will try to help someone out with psychological problems...
  17. Happy birthday Timento and Marcus Aurelius Antoninus ! Especcialy you, Marcus, since you are still being active ! I hope you like Eurobricks so far...
  18. My opinion: Cruelty factor: 11/10 Looks like an average MOC with a good theme and enough gore, but it seems far from ready (this is a WIP I presume??) I like the faces you have used for your minifigs. Possible improvements: 1) Use a black cannonball instead of a brown one. 2) Add a small red brick to Lt. Norrington's neck to add to reality, and perhaps some epaulettes to represent his rank. 3) Add more details to your background, like some plants, a (larger) tree, some stones or rocks... 4) Are you certain of the pole that you used to represent the cannonballs direction ? Maybe you can find another way to represent this... (I don't seem to be able to think of one right away but maybe you can) Non-brick related advise: 1) Pics are too large: 820 pixels instead of the 800 allowed: please resize or it might be disqualified ! 2) Watch your use of words and grammar, maybe there is a translation tool or (online) dictionnary you can use. eg. : He called all the garrison. better would be: He called out the entire garrison. I am however not that suited to give English language advise...(have enough problems with that myself ). Keep improving your MOCs, and you will get there !
  19. Very good, and the Harry Potter minifig looks in his place ! The ninja/samurai on the roof are cool as well, and is that a cat on the roof as well ??? Let those MOCs come ! I love them.
  20. I know which one won, but i must admit I have cheated (uche...uche.....google...uche....) so I won't say anything. These are really beautifull MOCs, including yours ! from me (again)
  21. knights are (a lot) below Fellows i'm afraid...You can't even become a fellow by number of posts...
  22. My opinion: This seems to be an average MOC, Buttons, not bad as a WIP, but not good enough to be a Final Version ! I like the fact you put in a hidden treasure behind the rocks, it is a good idea, but I must say it could be done better (regarding the brickuse and "quality" of the rock). Also there isn't that much cruelty/blood/sloughter... to see...yet... It is good you posted it here so the other members could make some suggestions though. Possible improvements: 1) If it is a standoff between 2 old rivals, why do they smile to each other? Faces like those (smilies) would be better IMHO: 2) I would bring some more "coherence" in the rocks that hide the gems. It seems to be to going to much uphill in a straight line... Personnaly I would remove the few black bricks down there (possibly exchange them for another grey-color), especcialy the small tree should be another color (brown, that is). 3) Use the balded head into your advantage: let is seem that the pirate has been hit by the soldiers paddle, and he got a big BUMP on his head from it ! Photograph this in an appropriate way, the zoom-in pic you posted is almost good, only he hasn't been hit by the paddle yet... . 4) The water: perhaps, if you own any, you could use some lighter blue bricks to represent the undeep water near the shores ? 5) For God's sake, give the poor soldier a weapon to defend himself ! Small / non-brick related advise: 1) RETAKE the pics and post them as described by LEGOKING and MR.PHES. If it still isn't clear how to post it, read the tutorials or PM me or another member that offers help (or someone from the staff). Your zoom-ins are a bit too...err...zoomed in, and a bit blurry. ALSO: USE A BACKGROUND when retaking the pics: a white sheet, or a blue one for the water, should do fine: this eliminates unnecessary distractions on the photo. 2) REMEMBER: 800x600 or your entry WILL be disqualified ! 3) Add a (more extensive) story to go with your MOC: it's a vital part of the contest ! If 2 MOCs are exactly as good as each other, the story behind the MOC could/would make the difference ! 4) READ the rules: just to be 100% certain that everything is allowed as it should be ! (like: is it really 16x16 ???, 'cause I don't think so at first sight) If not: make it an entry for the BIG competition. Have fun building this MOC, and I wish you the best of luck with the contest.
  23. As said, your mosaic is just lovely and of such good quality. An bare in mind that although larger pictures present us with higher quality, it also takes more time to load ! For me, living in Belgium next to the server (Germany), that doesn't really matter, but unfortunatly it does for our fellow members in countries like Kangorooria and Old Zeeland...especially for those with smallband internet connections. As done by dear Mr.Hinckley, create a link to your pics, or even better: post a scaled-down pic AND create a link to supplement it. Thanks for sharing, Buttons !
  24. The Mars Mission pins go great with this set, and you have done a good job on the cannon ! We all seem to like it, and I must agree, it's very inventive and looks cool and fun. keep building !
  25. I like the time vessel for it parts, but not on its own. My vote would be "SEA SEARPENT" !
