Ooww...now I see how flickr works... I clicked on it (and did that with many peoples MOCs) and only saw the big pic on the frontpage, stupidly thinking that was all there was to see. If you didn't point this out, I would never have known it, so a big THANK YOU from me. IMHO, the frontal look (pic 11 at flickr) shows the quality of this MOC the most.

Those are looking awesome ! Black Mask turned out very realistic and detailed, Firefly and Mr. Freeze look good as well. I don't think your Riddler is of the same high level of those other three you made, but he still is a good average "decall". It is very hard to represent his skinyness on a Lego minifig, I know that, and that is why I think it is better to choose the real-life Batman characters to make your designs. BUT that has been done so many times already, so for creativities sake, I will give you a 10/10 for ALL 4 minifigs. Now go back to your Legoroom and build us some more !

You are right Zepher. You need to keep "tension" in your storyline or you will loose your readers, and you can't let the story go too fast because then it is finished in a few days and that's no good for us either... So I think you are doing very well as it currently is. BTW: page 2 all the way ! That is IMHO, one of the funniest pages I've read on this forum, from the same comical level as 'The Walrus and the Whacker" Those are sooo funny as well. I like that...duckchickenbird of you. Mind if I build one myself? I am looking forward to the next episode, Zepher.

Your Threethorn Hawk is nice, I like it. But perhaps you could add some more pictures unless you have more on your Brickshelf account, I can't see them yet because the folder currently isn't public... Both the cockpit and the engines are very detailed and "finished" beautifully. Thanks for sharing this one with us. And...keep building !

Well, i think these tutorials can be very helpfull to new MOCers like me. Not that I am building something from the City theme, but i like the fact you make them. I also never used SNOT before. Thanks for the post !

You are a bragger... No, no, not true, I just really need to buy me some plastic boxes too, I keep them stored in "Banana-boxes" now. You know, the "chiquita" ones . But i tend to loose some due the holes that are getting into them (they're old...).

I think it is because it is a re-release, you know, one of the "Legends" family. Also the BSB (Black dude's Barrackobama) has been re-released (in 2002). Err...i mean the Black seas barrackuda... Hopefully we get some new "Legends" soon...together with the new line as example !

I love that Raptor...but I have stated that already in your thread. I am going for a golden tag too, but i'm afraid I can't produce more then, let's say, 1 review per week, since I first have to build all those sets for my review and i want to do some of the larger ones from the Pirate theme. Currently i'm working on the Skull's Eye Schooner and Sabre Island. It's good that we can follow such lessons about writing reviews and taking photo's for free. It's a real stimulance for me as well, and Eurobricks gets larger "exposure" and more activity, so it's really a win-win situation !

Errr...its a....weed.....that is only legal in 2 countries of the world....The Netherlands and Belgium.....usually one smokes them.... (oy yeah Americano's, you read it right...it's LEGAL down here ! Man, I so shouldn't have said that ! Me and my big mouth... PS: I am against drugs. Do not use drugs. if you use drugs you WILL die sooner or later ! If you use drugs your mommy and daddy will be dissapointed ! If you......etc.etc.etc.

It was not amazing at all...it was freak'in unbelievably fantastical ! (not the best english expression I made..) I love these Badman comics so much...nice transformation with the Scarecrow indeed . The sentences were longer, if I were you I wouldn't make them any longer then this though.

Why not? He thinks its awesome, and so would I when I was in the same situation Let the next 100 come, they are sooo good. Big from me KDog !

That is NOT very nice of you Guss ! BAD KITTY ! (hits Garfield-doll with a broomstick)

I would not say that out loud....remove it as fast as you can by editing it .. then PM me and Guss and we edit our messages too... There is an evil, wicked pirate admin that lurcks these boards (I'm not going to give a name but his name sounds a lot like "Bonerparties") that could ban you at once if he gets to read this... It is said he even bans people for using the word "megablock", or "enlichten". He is often referred too as the spawn of Satan ! (a joke, at least I HOPE....normally he is as sweet as icecream ) I'd love to see your MOC's.

Hi Da Death Star! Welcome to our community ! I bid you a warm welcome and I wish you the best of luck and loads of fun when being here. PS: Guss, congratulations with your Knighthood ! (but don't think I'm going to bow now everytime I see you )

Your prototypes look very good. I love the shakos, especcialy the ones for the hussars. The current prices, stated in your other thread, are too high for me to use for all units, since I live in Belgium were we can find the originals really cheap. With massproduction the prices might (or not) change. I will keep a close eye on your threads. However, I might order some for my cavalry if they come available, for my officers or smaller units, that is. Your molds are fantastic, I must admit that.

I like them all, but actually the third is my favorite. These are the uses of them in my (mini)army. 1) Archers and crossbowmen, artillery 2) Infantry (spearmen and swordsmen, some axemen-prison guards 3) ROYAL GUARDS / Unarmoured knights

I will come on Friday, that is if I'm not too tired from working (renovating bathroom) and if I can convince my dad to come. If not, maybe the second week but I doubt that since my parents work then... Anyone else?

Thanks for the useful link mate, I like the flags and I could use them in the future for my ship MOC !

My opinion: Your MOC looks good but cluthered, it's too "busy" for the scale you have build it on, as suggested I would build it on a larger baseplate. Your "gore-factor" is high enough, without doubt . Make some improvements to your WIP and I think you should stand a chanche against others. Possible improvements: 1) A larger baseplate, at least 32x32, would improve this a lot, but see you don't fill it up as heavily as you have done now, or you will need to expand again. 2) Is it because it is too crowded or is it because your MOC lack details and realism, I don't know, I only know most deaths people are dying on only seem clear to me after reading the story at least twice. After making the necessary changes to improve point 1, I would take this in consideration and see what you could do about it. Also make the story clearer to read (see minor points b) 3) Add some motion to your minifigs, some are just standing there looking stiff as a surfplank. I am referring to the ones on the ground especcialy, and even the one that is swing into the air doesn't seem to be moving his legs much. The monkey does better on this point. 4) I would, as Erdbeereis suggests, make the tower a bit larger (broader, perhaps higher?), this in relation to points 1 and 2. 5) Adding a few more details like plants and jungle trees would be good on a larger baseplate (and only on a larger one !), but see you don't "action-load" these, because of the clutter, and don't overdo it. 6) What about adding some color to your birdie? Like giving it black wings? Have you experimented with it? If yes, I will shut up . And a few minor things you should take in consideration: a) Watch the number of smilies you use, some MODS/ADMINS/members don't like it. b) When telling a medium-sized story like that, use some alineas to make it more pleasant to read. You can still change those things by editing your entry, or by posting an adapted one. Have fun with the competition and I wish you the best of luck !

Piglets Ironclad C.S.S Turtle is a very well done and realistic looking MOC, for him ! And I also like your USS Monitor Joey Lock, especcialy the "observation tower" with the guns worked out well, considering the limits of LDD. A for you too.
-
Tony, this is a LOT better, I like the improvements you have made. This MOC is in for the prizes now ! Your executioner is looking so good, the only thing I would add, was some blood or guts beneath the gallows. But that is just an opinion, it would not change much to the fact this looks great now. Tony, a well-deserved from me !

That really looks fine SirNadroj ! I love your bomb-dropping Ewok, but then I seem to love everything you make...for a good reason, you are a master-MOC builder.

The Yellow Castle and a few other sets I got from my father when I was 4 or 5 years old (I don't remember my exact age, so I am guessing). After that I got a Lego set from my parents every year with my birthday, christmas, easter,... Soon also my grandparents and uncles began to cave in for my "polite requests" (I'm referring to my continuous whining), and I started saving up money for buying sets myself. I mostly got Castle, Pirates and City themes. My twin brother chose Space, Trains and Technic (and Belville at a time, but if he reads this he will kick my megablocks !) I always saved for the larger Pirates sets like the Imperial Trading Post and the Skulls Eye Schooner, as well as the sets with a lot of minifigs (Sea Mates and such). Now I regret I didn't buy more of these minifig sets...(Why you ask? Just take a peak at Bricklink for their prices ! )

Sea Wars! (AND Medium WIP PTV entry!)
Zorro replied to Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?!'s topic in Pirate MOCs
We certainly have, and I don't think it was bad at all, just maybe a bit too Star Wars-sy for a pirate contest... I do like your MOC, and if my words sometimes seem "heavy", it is primarely because my English is limited to a certain vocabulary... Sorry if it did, it was not my intention. I hope you will stay in the contest, with this MOC, a revised MOC or another MOC. -
Master and Commander, without any doubt. And lets not forget Pirates of the Carribean ! Not really that historical but good to watch anyway.
