only "more". Momentarily it is not poosible to connect other devices (like a hendheld) to it, as far as I know.
-
As far as I know this is not intended. A way to load resident programs is to use pybricks and make the program part of the firmware.
-
I think this is not a bug but a feature, included from the beginning.
-
Explanation: There are two "programs" in the hub: the firmware and the Bootloader. The Bootloader is fixed in the hub and cannot be changed, it handles the firmware load process into the hub. Problem: the Bootloader in the 88009 is erroneous. If a sensor or tacho motor is attached it starts the process, bur doesn't load and turn off the light! But the hub is still running in inconsistant state. Therefore: remove batteries to turn it really off and remove all sensors and motors.
-
Hi, assuming you have the "Hub" (8x4, 88009) you should disconnect all motors or sensors, remove batteries, insert them and try once more.

There is no app for a specific model. There are different operating interfaces for specific sets . They are just offers, feel free to use other facicilties of the apps or use any other soft- or hardware to control your models. It's your choice.

Yes, I tried that immediatly after download, really sad, it would have been a nice app for train motors as well.
-
And the number to be ordered depends on the contry you order and the time, it started with 2 on midnight in germany. It was 10. of July(!!!) this morning 9:30 in Germany, only 1. Now it's 1 for 20th of August. App is now available (since app. half an hour)
-
Which date? 20th of August?
-
not exactly, but date of app on my tablet is 13.5., in the app store it is marked with 18.5., and it was definitely available on the 20th of may (release date)

I think it will be very difficult (if not impossible) to add two motors + hub in the cabin(!) Motors had to be vertical then....
-
Might work, but it's not the intended solution (and the other LEGO sites, i.e. german site , are different...) Have a look here: https://www.lego.com/nl-nl/product/crocodile-locomotive-10277 and the the 5th picture, showing the back of the box.

I agree. With the Spike App you have - kind of Scratch, no documentation, i didn't find all options yet (i.e. Stop Motor coast/brake/hold) - python, with a complete documentation (english only) -
Interesting. That means that you have a virtual port on the Large Hub pointing to a physical port on a remote connected hub?
-
Thats very true. I referred to In your scenario it's outside the train.
-
@UrbanErwin I don't think that one PU-Hub will "control" another. And the "Large Hub" is much too big for trains. The idea (as it works already today) is that different hubs communicate via an external programm. With that your train can trigger other actions on a different hub. Concerning Boost/Train motors: that all worked together since years. The only problem always was that the LEGO Software did not support all that at the release date of the components. Other software does since a long time.

2020 Mindstorms set

I'm over the year on events playing with the things and recommend the systems (EV3 and Boost) to parents. I will not do that with such an inclompete system. No charger, no extension cables.... It was hard enough the last years to "explain" Powered Up.
