Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Immortality grants me a perspective that means the long game is better. I merely deign to participate in your puny mortal games as mild amusement. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm back (sort of) after a bit of a hiatus. Moving, new/old job, and a newer girlfriend have all eaten into my free time. Looks like I have plenty to catch up on. I'm going to try to stick my head in as much as possible, but I'm busier than I thought I'd be, so building might be slightly more sporadic. As for bowing to Ravaage, I seem to have gained a cramp from slaying plenty of your minions, so bowing may be slightly difficult. -

AoM Archery Phase 1 - Hunting the fearsome swamp chicken
Lord Vladivus replied to nivremis's topic in Guilds of Historica
Haha this is great! -
Great landscaping there- my eyes keep thinking there's a lot more undulation (and really smooth as well) than there actually is. Great idea with an archery competition as well!

Love the log cabins! They're amazing. Great build! I agree about the Wargs as cavalry, excellent!

Love that roof, and the allusion to the bearded Mitgardian ladies in the story! Great story too!

Great figs! I love Atlas!

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

It might not be free I suppose. Sleep well. Watch out for my brother vampires. I hear some like the taste of beardless Mitgardian lady lovers. I've some Avalonians from Benoic stashed in a dungeon. They taste pretty good. -

Can't help it if it's true! Haha! And what about Jester and Fool (Jodocus)? You can not fear me, it's your loss. Mwahahahahahahaha... Cough... Cough... Argh... Cough... Hahaaa... -

Bitterness hath no place in my heart. If indeed I had a heart. A woman stole it long ago, and ere it could be returned, she fell upon the thirsting blade of a knave. Pretty sure if I sparkle hard enough, she'll come back to the land of the living. You should watch to the flames of dissent I fan within your guilds. Perhaps what I do is for the good of Historica, you are starting to unite against a common enemy after all. Or perhaps it is to disguise my true motives. I play the long game my beardless Mitgardian lady lover. On a side note, I am loving the trash talk that's cropping up- it's bringing a sense of life to the guilds again. Except Nocty, it's hard to breathe life into a Guild that's half undead to start with. I hope more follow kabel's example and we get MOCs relating to it! And just to clarify, I'm role-playing. I'm a friendly guy. ;) -

If you want to eat that, be my guest. Sure it won't interfere with your diet of fancy flowers? Those Mitgardians sure like to disrespect. -

When you can focus on something other than fake beards and scented oil from Kaliphlin, you're welcome to come back and try. In the meantime, don't let the enchanted pumpkins catch you, they rather enjoy a nice hairy lady. -

Lord Vladivus replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I can. I've heard you men of Mitgardia simply buy hair and weave a beard. There's then an ugly paste comprised of crushed worms and bird faeces used to glue it to your face. Explains the smell... And Infernum is simply too poor to afford a beard. -

Shivering? But those beards keep 'em toasty! I suppose the nobility need to hit puberty first. But the commoners have pretty fine beards. Maybe they should run Mitgardia? -
Great to see some Mitgardians aren't following their leaders, and are cordial to Kaliphlin! Excellent build! Really evokes Kaliphlin! Love the palm tree!

I suppose a lot of it is wish listing- I am guilty of ignoring the Marvel wish listing, but (and I think this is a symptom of the lack of love DC has been shown this wave in terms of numbers of sets) there seems to be a lot more wish listing. I'm quite happy for wish listing to go on, but it definitely needs to go in the right place. That goes for Marvel and DC. There is a thin line, one moment it's- "I wish they'd put in blue Nightwing instead of the Red one but the set's pretty cool" and the next you have a bunch of posts listing things they could put blue Nightwing in, games exclusives, etc. So, I can understand why it happens, if I posted I'd be guilty of it. I tend to just observe in the rumour topics though, so I suppose I represent a ever so slightly different viewpoint than most of you guys. I do agree about the review (that goes for all of them) bashing, if you don't like it, move on, some people like the reviews, it's mostly a matter of opinion. Would be nice with a new banner- I'd like one that incorporates the current themes. This is one of the places on eurobricks that can't get away with older banners, as licensed themes (with the exception of Star Wars, and now Super Heroes), aren't evergreen for the most part, so they disappear. I daresay a Super Heroes orientated banner could last for a long time- as that theme is now evergreen. Just my two bricks,

To be honest, I think it wanted to showcase that one guy, not necessarily lego as an architectural tool. I also noticed they mentioned Minecraft, and failed to mention the set based on Minecraft. -

I agree that it would kill the Licensed a Forum if you split off SH. I wouldn't really want to split the forums into Marvel and DC, but when I have to wade through 5 or 6 pages discussing the merits of a New 52 Nightwing vs a blue one, and the likelihood of a Green Lantern fig, and how people want the most obscure one, it makes me think that perhaps we should- I struggle to find any Marvel news or even talk nowadays. It's all DC talk- which is fine (I prefer Marvel, but I still like DC), it just seems to me that there are a lot of AFOLs that are DC fans, and less Marvel ones. I must admit, I tend not to post in rumour topics, but I do like to find out things, so I frequently peruse them.
