Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
Dragonfire replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Sandy, I'm really sorry but due to unexpected RL events I may have to pull out of this quest. I just won't have enough time to check in and me simply leaving would be better than inactive-me staying for roleplay purposes etc. Maybe you could find a replacement hero. Bye, guys. Really sorry. Hope to see you on some other quest. None of the others noticed Avalanche's unconscious body being dragged into an alleyway by a hooded man. When they looked around after the battle, Avalanche was nowhere to be seen. -
[The man known as "Hunter" gets up, pushes his chair under the table and turns to leave.] "Hunter": "I hope I have helped you to find your man. Now I must find mine. Farewell, Lord Vladivus." [He exits the tavern.]

I've played on both sites and I find mafiascum very similar to EB Mafia; EpicMafia is very different. -
Fracture Collab Display NOW WITH DETAIL SHOTS

Absolutely stunning. Fantastic job! -
"Hunter": "The man who mentioned Natas' name goes by the name of Sterlin Moorn. A master of blades, quite the skilled warrior. Retired, though. Lives in Avalonia now, although he used to be a wanderer. Good luck in finding your man. I just wish I could have as much luck with mine." [Across the Inn, Svangen turns to go, then hears the man's comment about fighting the Drow.] Svangen: "What's going on with the Drow? I've heard rumours, but nothing more."
-
[Ralkar's eyes widen as the man snaps his axe. Drawing a shortsword from his belt, he drunkenly yells a challenge to the man, the sword in one hand and a bottle of ale in the other. Before he can do anything else, his companion Svangen smashes a glass of wine over his head, stunning the dwarf. He falls to the ground amid shards of glass. The tavern's inhabitants look up again; since the Griffon became open to adventurers from the Guilds, goings-on have been....eventful.] Svangen: "It was for your own good, you fool. Terribly sorry for my friend's actions; he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing." [svangen drags his unconscious friend over to another table and then helps some of the tavern assistants clean up the shards of glass. Meanwhile, "Hunter" turned away from the scene and back to his conversation.] "Hunter": "Northern bumpkins. Overestimate their own strength when they're drunk and when they're sober too. I can see what you're thinking. But it's unnecessary to provoke yet another fight today. As for your query about Sir Natas, I have heard the name but never met the man. If I come across him, my sword and I will show him what I think of those scum who defile others' resting places. As to how I heard his name, I was collecting my pay for one of my...tasks and I overheard someone mention his name. Just last week, in fact. Southern Avalonia."

[The tall Mitgardian looks rather worried at his dwarven friend's audacity.] Mitgardian #2: "Ralkar, maybe we should move on. I really don't want to start a fight with some stranger." Ralkar: "Svangen, you coward!" [Ralkar slams his axe into the tabletop.] Ralkar: "I'll be wanting that table back, mister." [Just then, a tall and distinguished gentleman accidentally smashes a glass on the table. Svangen curses as one of the shards hits his face. Across the tavern, "Hunter" shrugs.] "Hunter": "Maybe they're just curious. But I doubt it. I have many enemies, and they have many mercenaries. I'll keep an eye on them for the time being. They're going to lose their heads by the looks of it anyway. Drunken fools. Anyway, I believe you promised to tell me your business here if I gave you my name."

Mafia After Dark - Epilogue: Sunset

I think it does favour the scum as they will all be able to vote for the same player and form a bandwagon whereas townies will be voting randomly and not be coordinated. -

[Having heard what they wanted to hear, the pair of Mitgardians move away from "Hunter" and Lord Vladivus' conversation and back into the corner of the bar. They find a man in exquisite armour sitting at their table. Both Mitgardians approach the man.] Mitgardian #1: "What are you doing at our table, you idiot? Move. This is our space." Mitgardian #2: "Umm, Ralkar, do you think this is a good idea? This guy is clearly a great warrior. We don't want to provoke a fight." Ralkar: "Shut up. Exquisite armour doesn't make a warrior. I can say what I like, thank you very much." [Meanwhile, "Hunter" waits for Lord Vladivus' answer.]

Book II Challenge II - Avalonian Civil War! - RESULTS POSTED
Dragonfire replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Here's my Cat.A entry:http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=96212 -
After many days and nights of trekking through Mitgardia's wilderness, Berelan Gryffen finally reached Avalonia. With a sigh, he stepped over the border into his homeland. His companion and close friend, Crynis Elchafron, followed, looking over her shoulder in case of a surprise attack by the Drow. Their task was simple: capture one of the Drow and learn of the enemy's plans. From the little he knew of the dark elves, they tended to favour vantage points from which to be alerted of an incoming attack. Looking ahead, he saw a hillock rising above the wooded glens, the crumbling ruins of a watchtower atop it. A perfect vantage point. Motioning to Crynis, he drew his sword and quietly began to scale the small hill. Sure enough, the dark shape of a Drow scout was visible behind the wall. The two adventurers took the soldier completely by surprise. As they rushed him he hastily grabbed his spear and leveled it at Berelan's head; just in time the warrior ducked. Knocking the spear out of the scout's hands, Berelan jumped on him and set his sword against the Drow's throat, "Surrender or die." Unbeknownst to them, a pair of Avalonian Elite Rangers silently watched and waited from the nearby undergrowth. They recognised the bearded Mitgardian instantly. An ally- or a mortal foe? Figless: Enjoy

["Hunter" hands over the rag.] "Hunter": "Be careful. I'm not sure whether your kind are immune to this kind of poison." [While the two are conversing, there is a low growl from the back of the bar. A pair of Mitgardians blanketed in furs and mufflers move cautiously towards the pair, hoping not to disturb them. One is the red-bearded dwarf who dropped his ale when he heard the screech. The other is taller, with a fur hat covering most of his face. At their heels pads a shaggy dog, the source of the growl. They stop when they are in earshot of "Hunter" and Lord Vladivus.]
-
[Hunter nods to Vladivus, pushes his chair under the table and quietly walks out of the inn. A few moments later, the dark shadow follows him through the door. Five minutes pass. Suddenly a terrible, visceral screech is heard, the sound resonating around the tavern and startling its inhabitants. A red-bearded dwarf's mug of beer falls to the ground with a clatter as he reaches for his axe. The silence caused by the cry is broken by the door once again opening. The man known as Hunter strides back into the Grand Griffon, his longsword unsheathed and covered in an inky black substance. Ignoring the odd looks coming his way, he makes his way back to the table where Vladivus is sitting. He sits down again and reaches for his mug.] "Hunter": "Someone really must hate me. I've encountered seven of these blighters in the past week. Come up behind you, they do, when you least expect it." [He cleans the black liquid from his sword with a rag of cloth.] "Hunter": "Poisonous. If you touch it you die."
