  1. thank you for that, Vezon :) It's strange how many people turn out liking Xplode.... I wonder if he really IS that cool. Say, would any other arm types work with him?
  2. I will be looking forward to opinions on Rotor. And Corroder and Meltdown are officially at a tie as to awesomeness.
  3. bollocks! Well, all of the appeal Thunder had for me just died
  4. I wouldn't mind some snapshots of the claw weapon from variious angles :)
  5. did y'all see this? Looks like a corroder review
  6. sad as it is, I find myself agreeing. My Bionicle sets are gathering dust in my closet- and taking up a whole lot of space. I will likely end up selling most of them, only keeping the parts I like or parts that are really good for LEGO MOCS. Probably a few of my fave sets as well, but the majority of it hasn't been touched in a LONG time. The HF sets are cool- REALLY cool- but I will honestly rarely use them. I will pick up only Corroder and Meltdown- if any.
  7. meltdown review on Youtube:
  8. I like them for being adventurous in a sort of campy way. They also feel like movies in that they feature huge action sequences, battles and the like. Personally, I have enjoyed only the more sci-fi oriented action themes like Atlantis and Power Miners because they introduce monsters that look great and feature some crazy tricked out vehicles that look outlandish, but also very cool.
  9. I'm really very surprised the villains aren't widely available by now... I suppose it means that we still have something to look forward to, but I REALLY want to see a Meltdown review :P
  10. that video was up on youtube a few pages back, actually. nice that the site finally posted it. REally cool animation, and it looks like a slightly exaggerated style in some of the scenes, which looks pretty good.
  11. I'm sure they'll still be worth a bit, seeing as how they still only come in one set. this just means you'll have a surplus when you get Meltdown
  12. the instructions were where I got that notion lol :D I prolly should have clarified that- I could have avoided a page or two of discussion on that lol also, Natalie B.- I know the canisters aren't big. I like the size they are, as they will be great for lego ships ;) I think then that Corroder will be secondary to Meltdown. I can't wait for reviews!
  13. from the review, I can see that Xplode's armor and weapon are some really sweet parts. Unfortunately, I'm not personally too keen on his look and I find that the armor only looks good from a certain angle. They could have at least put something on the back part of the three-way pin on his arm- even a bohrok eye- just something to prevent that lazy look to the set. the arms also bug me a bit, but I could live with that. Thunder, on the other hand looks great! This is another set I don't like the appearance of because of that massive underbite, but overall, the thing looks solid and well armored and has a cool weapon. Still looking forward to reviews for Corroder and Meltdown, who are the best of the series in my opinion. I'm not sure which I will get- Corroder looks so feral and raptor-like, but meltdown is the epitome of evil robot plus he has more trans-injected tubes and the biohazard canisters.... Both win for me, but I suppose Meltdown is best for parts. What do you guys think?
  14. So far, the only SPIII set I own is Squidman's escape. Overall, I thought the aliens were the coolest things ever when I first saw the toyfair pics, but in hand, they are AMAZING! I think this theme deserves another year, as long as it makes some more police ships as good as the villain ships. I also hope to see the addition of more alien figs, since they add a great diversity to space themed MOCs, ase they do not belong to one particular theme. Basically, it's hard to add a star wars alien into a non-SW space MOC because everyone knows that is an alien from a particular franchise, but LEGO original critters can be used pretty much anywhere because they are not associated with a pre-existing universe. This factor was what made me so excited for the SPIII theme because it provided a LEGO style set of aliens that could be used in whatever you want.
  15. hey gents- I know y'all are getting into this discussion, but might you perhaps move this to another topic please? I can't help but get annoyed when I check the Hero Factory topic for news or related discussion and all there is is a lot of debate over Greg's writing.
  16. How neat... I'm really looking forward to some Corroder action
  17. Aanchir- I'm pretty certain that 'robot babe' is a villain or creature lol. But who knows, maybe the pilot is into that.
  18. dude! that's epic win right there! You got it pretty accurate, and the function is awesome!
  19. really!? I don't see it... link, perhaps? I'm excited to see it in action
  20. My local TRU got one last shhipment and I literally ran over there the morning I found out. They had a full package of them and I was able to feel out the Astronaut, zombie and robot. They really are some top-notch minifigs.
  21. the best feature of the set is prolly the recoloured Corroder weapons. I still don't like the way Rotor/Vapours helmet looks and the rest of the parts are...meh.
  22. Wow! This is absolutely amazing! You did wonders with the minifigs! I'm uber excited for the return of Futurama
  23. Been with Bionicle since the beginning.

  24. ha! Young Frankenstein reference! Bink is amazing.... where do you guys find these, anyway? I'm having some trouble navigating the HF site.
  25. good to know the Hero Core is LEGO compatable... it would make a good add-on on the hull of a spaceship. On topic, tho, despite the obvious hindrance of the power arm, I realize that it's perfect for playing with. so many times I've been playing with my Agori/Av-toran/Stars etc. and have been troulbed by the fact that with the hands, swords and such cannot be pointed forward realistically. Teh weapon arms provide a full-on epic weapon at the right angle for playability.
