I actually would prefer one of the old style shark figs. as well as some other underwater wildlife- like the manta ray, octopus and crabs

If you look at the picture of the temple, the art style for the actual structure is detailed, while certain features such as the shark's head and the statues seem more... cartoony. I think those features are what will become sets. I also have this uncanny idea that perhaps Atlantis will be released in several sections-each it's own set and that the summer sets will just be the lost city with some small vehicles and characters.

That would make sense, but I'm all for it! I would LOVE to see a crab mutant! I'd also like to see that crab key in another set, since it's currently only in the giant crab attack.
