As a Bionicle fan, I am partly obliged to pick up the Leviathan Turtle for those beautiful black fin armor pieces. That little mini-craft isn't so bad, either. But even then, my priorities lie with the Cthulhu Passage A.K.A. Squid Gate. The little key things make great shields and accessories. and I imagine a lot of these elements would work in both underwater and Space creations. The monster minifigs especially. I'm already planning to mod these subs as Space Police vehicles. I'm a sucker for underwater stuff, tho, so excuse me if I'm in love with this line. The only way they could make this better is to include the minifig sea animals that former ocean sets used to contain. my two black octopi are lonely...

Very true. And it includes some innovative angling techniques- specifically the part right in front of the cockpit. And the side design is pretty tight. Looks like set that's both really solid and VERY swooshable- not to mention fun to build. And isn't that the purpose of a LEGO set? and when taken into consideration, aren't most of the Atlantis sets fitting that criteria?

'<insert that tiresome argument>'? I really don't see it. I see some pretty sweet designs making good use of SNOT and Technic. I also see some REALLY nice trans-green parts and red vehicle accessories that would all go great in any Space MOCs. I will say that I'm ildly disappointed in the Octopus gate as far as the structure goes. The minifigs and creatures are awesome, but the main attraction leaves something to be desired. My guess is that winter is for the vehicles, while the summer will feature more actual Atlantis-heavysetswith some vehicles as accessories. Wonder if we'll get King Cthulhu in a cheaper set...

I actually really like the submarine designs. It's fresh and futuristic-looking. But what really sells these sets is the creatures. Though I wish they would include some of the minifig-scale animals like octopus and stingray and crab- just for background. Hopefully the Atlantis city sets will include these

Memory Brick-Lane: Hydronauts Theme
---Vertea--- replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Oh how I miss these... old memories... I used to tur the crane arms into serpents since they so resembled the mouth of the lego dragon. -
I wonder why this thread is so empty... One would've thought that the recent Greg info would've caused SOME discussion. I'm happy to see some EU sets( Piraka and Rahkshii, as well as green Skrall)

This is just fantastic! From a distance it really looks like sonic! this is really clever.

I thought shadows of the Empire was a darn good SW shooter, though it might have been third person...

I think the Nuva-Mata switch would be a de-transformation. after all, if EP really is alive, then I think it could willfully take power away and such. I dunno. I'm tired. Good night, EB.

I will prolly order King Cthulhu on Bricklink, since the structure is nothing special. I WILL be getting the crab and one of the vehicles.

thanks, Mesonak! That's indeed interesting... I see many Mata-MOCs in the future hours...

I think that right now, given the very little we know and have seen, that we should reserve our judgement until we get something substantial. The recent story info is fantastic, and we have some great pic to drool or mourn over, but all in all not enough to be passing our cruel harsh judgment. So instead of filling page after page of Farshtey-bashing and such, I think we all need to relax a bit. From the recent info, I am liking the idea of the two worlds colliding, as well as the notion that the characters will not actually be miniaturized. In fact, I'm willing to bet a pretty penny that the actual set designs are simply for the sake of being sets. Though they may still be depicted as such in the comics and all, we should still be picturing them as they normally appear. Though I'm still a bit confused at the "piraka". That really DOES look a heck of a lot like Vezok. But in all likelyhood this could be anothr of the species, which is really good for MOCists

We have a brand new Bionicle Leader
---Vertea--- replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Action Figures
congrats, 3D Brickthing!!! I think you'll preform spectacularly -
I don't care for the manta ray figure, but the others are nice. Anyone else notice that the crab symbol is only in the crab encounter set? I wonder if there'll be a minifig that's crab-based... maybe in the summer wave?

That's tight! the funny one is pure win. My Giga Striker comparison

well, it's more of a thin frown, but it's definitely there

Actually, the Piaka does have a smile- it's simply built in to the mask. it's lighter blue. I think it's pretty darn awesome.

true... it'll help my wallet only having a limited availability set-wise.... and I can focus on other lines like Atlantis.

So... Nanovor. I first saw the advert on Cartoon Network at my GF's house. I thought it was just some lame crap, 'till I paid attention and saw the awesome little creatures exploding. So I figured I'd give it a try when I got home. So I downloaded and installed... and began playing... And was totally hooked. You start out with three basic Nanovor that you can evolve later on. And as you battle, you get special badges that give you more Nanovor and EMs(EMs being necessary to evolve and level up your nanovor) The animations are really spot-on, and the deaths are all really cool. There's a forum for Nanovor that's really good, but I'll get to that later. You can also buy Nanocash cards and figurines that come with special codes granting nanocash and free Nanovor. The nanocash is used to purchase boster packs in-game containing either nanovor, EMs, or both. unfortunately, after you've reaped all of the Badge Rewards, that's the only way you can get any more. Or you can just make another account like I have several times. Feel free to post pics, vids, MOCs, whatever here and if you haven't played yet- go try it out! It's really fun and addicting and I think VERY MOC-able if one gave the effort
