  2. Karie looks over to the werehound as he addresses her. She moves over to speak with him. "Apologies, I'm merely a little inquisitive, is all. How much is a night's stay?"
  3. Karie shushes Pretzel before moving close to him. She looks around the inn, hoping no one heard the monk. She speaks to Pretzel in a hushed tone. "I think you and I agree on more things than you believe Pretzel. I've never really met Warlock, but he seemed like a nice guy. Look, it's people like Warlock who we need to get on our side: the middle man, the person who doesn't look to the Founders with any sort of love. If we can get Filly on our side, we can hopefully turn the tide here. I want Heroica free from the grips of the interests of the houses so it can serve people like Hoples and those who need our help, but we're not going to achieve such a goal if we're dead. Keep mention of Heroica to a minimum, for all our safety." Karie grimaces. Maybe she was too hard on Pretzel earlier. She pats him on the shoulder. "I've got this group's interests at heart, Pretzel, and I think you do to. I'd hope we can both realize this is bigger than both of us. History has it's eyes on us."
  4. Karie steps inside the inn and looks around. She breaks off from the rest of the group and peers upstairs.

  7. Voting is now open. As for the punishment, I've devised the following: The player will be penalized with a vote for every four players remaining, as well as an additional vote. You will have at least one vote on you when penalized. Example: 3 players=1 vote, 4 players=2 votes, 8 players=2 votes, etc.
  8. "No, my friends here have said it best." Karie replies. "I'm merely travelling with them for protection, what with those Heroicans on the loose. I'm just moving along to my next performance, you know, being a bard and all." Karie points to the instruments on her back. "So, uh, if we could get moving, I'd appreciate it. Please."
  9. Okay, the wording is confusing, so here's how I translate it: For every 4 players left, besides you, there is a penalty vote. So as it stands, there would be a penalty vote of 2, not 5. I'm going to fix this rule, just to make it more understandable, and it's penalty still relevant. I'll have a decision for you for when voting opens.
  10. R.I.P Forresto R.I.P Lord Duvors Thank you Forresto and Lord Duvors for joining us. It may of been for only a short time, but I hope you had fun! Day Two has begun!
  11. Day 2: Night on Kintobor Mountain "Alright, gather around." Kintobor said. "It's time for the lynch. So, apparently, Dracula (Rider Raider) here is the lynchee. Any final words?" Dracula points to the bottle in Kintobor's hands. "Can have a sip of that-" *SMASH* Kintobor repeatedly smashed the bottle against the back of Dracula's head until the Count no longer moved, apologizing as he proceeded to beat the Count to death: Kintobor was Canadian after all. Blood flew everywhere as Dracula's head was crushed under the weight of broken glass. "Oh no, oh goodness, I'm so sorry! My hand slipped! It slipped again! Oh, heavens. Sorry! So sorry!" Eventually, the rest of the party goers went to sleep as Kintobor's apologies drifted off into the night. The Wicked Witch (Lord Duvors) strolled through the evening air, heading for the main road out of the mansion. "I'm getting pretty fed up with this lack of food. Where's the entrance to the kitchen?" The chill in the night air and the looming fog made it hard to see, but soon a figure crept closer to the Witch. "AH!" The Wicked Witch screamed. A ghost had appeared in front of her! "My goodness, a real life ghost! Hold on a minute, I need to take a shot of this with my phone! Where did I leave it..." The Witch patted herself down as the ghost quickly replied back. "I can help you with your shot. Say cheese!" "Cheese!" Reaching underneath their sheet, the ghost pulled out a revolver and fired it at The Wicked Witch! *BANG!* The Wicked Witch tumbled back, lying in a heap on the ground, blood spilling out of her wound. The ghost lifted the revolver to it's face and blew out the smoke. "Well, that was a lot easier than dumping a pail of water on her." Meanwhile, in the greenhouse, the Zombie Groom (Forresto) was rooting around, admiring some of the fauna. "Ah, such lovely flowers! They're out of season, too. Truly whoever planted these and took care of them had a miraculous green thumb." "Indeed, they probably did!" A voice says behind the Zombie Groom. "And now you're going to be joining them: in the ground!" The Zombie Groom turns around in time to witness a ghost raise a baseball bat over his head and bring it down directly on his head with a deafening crack! Another fell swoop of the sports equipment and the Zombie Groom stops moving, brains and blood staining the flowers he was once admiring. The ghost begins to chuckle to itself. "Holy moly, look at your face dude! One of your eyeballs is sticking out!" Morning arrives, and as the party goers who survived the night rub the sleep from their eyes. Kintobor quickly addresses the mob. "Welp... let's just get on with the bad news, shall we? Dracula? He was a total Townie. Couldn't find any evidence of mafia behaviour on his corpse. The Wicked Witch? Also Town. Had a nice costume, too. Finally, the Zombie Groom? Also a loyal Townie. Just seemed like he was here for a good time. Seems as if though the town needs to get it's act in gear and bring in some Mafia members so I can find comedically gory and over the top ways to end their life. We're down to eleven party goers. I hope you lot can bring some of them in." Kintobor coughs into a handkerchief before pointing to the griller beside him. "Oh, by the way, this is Romero. He runs a hotdog and Polish sausage cart. He'll be catering to us for the remainder of the party. Also, I found this old cassette player, but the only cassettes I could find were of mid-90's Japanese idol groups, so we'll see where that goes. Play nice for a little bit, I've got to go make sure the water's not running, or whatever..." -Players-Bride of Dracula, costumed by Lady KDr. Frankenstein, costumed by Tariq jFrankenstein's Rocker, costumed by LegoRacer1Gorgonzola, costumed by fhomessMaws, costumed by mediumsnowmanThe Mutant Fly, costumed by SteamdemonThe Mummy, costumed by Actor Builder The Swamp Creature, costumed by KotZThe Werewolf, costumed by LegoMonorailFan)Zombie Bride, costumed by Khscarymovie4Zombie Cheerleader, costumed by jluck -RIP- Dracula, costumed by Rider Raider, Town. 12. Quick update: You still have some time to get night actions in. I'm considering posting Day 2 a little later, just to allow me some time to get it ready. Day 2 will probably be up on Sunday, as I have a rather busy schedule on Saturday, and I won't be able to take photos. Day 2 should be no later than Sunday, though. Than you for understanding, and I'm sorry for the delay. There shouldn't be any more for the duration of the game, and if there is I'll let you guys know in advanced.
  13. Karie furls the scroll up. "Very well. We should be off, if everyone's ready. The Winking Gargoyle Inn's a bit of a distance from here."

  22. "The Winking Gargoyle. Once we've got that settled, we'll figure out where everyone is and see if we can't regroup. The rest should know about what we've discovered." Karie uses her Magic Compass, trying to find Lawrence Boomingham and Atramor Gibbin.
  23. Day One: The Ghost and Mr. Kintobor Guests arrived in a mass to the Mad Monster Mansion, ready for a night of food, dance, and music. The location was desolate and out of the way in a old, gnarled forest just south of the interstate. When they arrived after what felt like hours following an old, narrow trail, they found the old, derelict manor devoid of light, life or free food. The partygoers became distressed as they milled about in their costumes. Was this a trick? Was Kintobor lying about the party? Was this even the right house? It'd take hours to get back to their vehicles from which they got here. A figure emerged into the crowd, his face featureless and his suit well tailored. He looked a little taller than the rest of the partygoers, but it might've been the light. He spoke in a strange voice. "Mfphom pho phy phewly phurchased-" "Take off that ridiculous mask, you look completely silly and we can't hear you!" Someone shouted from the crowd. The mask came off with a "shlurp" as the partygoers gracious host revealed himself. "Sorry about that! Trying something a little new, is all. Welcome to my newly purchased mansion! I'm your host, Kintobor. Don't ask how I acquired this piece of property, just know that I bought it cheap enough that I managed to get this and several other really nifty costumes! Now then, I hate to say this, but I have some bad news. I just got off the phone with the local police chief. Apparently my mansion and the gold supposedly hidden inside are being targeted by a local mafia. After the tip off, the mafia killed the informant and drove here with invites they stole. They're probably with us right now. Violent criminals are here amongst us, dressed as monsters, and they want us, innocent townies dead. I know some of you are probably more familiar with such situations, but I feel now would be an excellent time to weed through ourselves and start finding out who amongst us is actually here with the intent to party." Kintobor looks over his party guests, unsure over who he had given invites to and who was a mafia infiltrator. "Well, it's a spooky costume party, so keep your costumes on. We can still have some amount of fun, even if there's criminals about." -Players-Bride of Dracula, costumed by Lady KDr. Frankenstein, costumed by Tariq jDracula, costumed by Rider RaiderFrankenstein's Rocker, costumed by LegoRacer1Gorgonzola, costumed by fhomessMaws, costumed by mediumsnowmanThe Mutant Fly, costumed by SteamdemonThe Mummy, costumed by Actor BuilderThe Swamp Creature, costumed by KotZThe Werewolf, costumed by LegoMonorailFan)Wicked Witch, costumed by Lord DuvorsZombie Bride, costumed by Khscarymovie4Zombie Groom, costumed by ForrestoZombie Cheerleader, costumed by jluck --- Rules (These are 95% the same as the EB standard; deviations from the normal EB rules are struck-through) (Also, thanks Def. Violation of the above rules will result in a 5 vote penalty vote penalty per every 4 living players against you, and death on your second offence. --- Hello, boys and girls! I see we have some new players with us. Gather around and your new friend Kintobor will give you some advice. Should you lynch the first person who votes? No. This person is being productive by getting the town started in its day, and voting should be seen as pro-town. People who withhold their vote tend to do so for a reason. The first day lynch is almost always a townie, so don't feel too upset about it. Voting will help you later on, as it shows who voted for who, when they voted for who, and if they switched their vote. <Mafia members, consider voting for a teammate during the early game if possible. If they get lynched, you look good to the town, and if you get lynched, your teammate looks good to the town.> Who should I vote for on Day One? Whoever gives you bad vibes. Are they being nonsensical? If you had to vote off someone today, knowing they might be town, who wouldn't make a big difference? Voting off scum is preferable, and always should be your goal, but sometimes you have to err on the side of safety. <Mafia, you're more or less safe as long as it isn't you. Don't go defending townies too strongly, though. It might look like a good idea, as you might think it'll make you look pro-town when the previous day's lynch turns up town. As Mafia members, you know who the other townies are, and this will backfire on you.> How much role-play is too much? Look at it like this: roleplaying is the salad dressing on the salad. Go ahead and do so, just don't over do it, as that's not the focus of the game. The focus of the game is to outwit other humans. It's the focus and draw of Mafia as a game. Why did someone say this? Why did someone vote this way? What are people doing? These are questions you should be asking, not focusing on roleplaying. I've got one last thing to say, and it was said by the great Def. Day One is building your fire, and Night One is lighting said fire. From there, everything will hopefully take shape. Send PMs to people you suspect and say you trust them, don't reveal too much, and most importantly, don't blab your role. DON'T BLAB YOUR ROLE. DO NOT BLAB YOUR ROLE DAY ONE. Kintobor will fail you from Mafia School. As a note, all Roles used in this Mafia School game fall under the banner of Roles considered Explicit Normal from the MafiaScum Wiki: https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Normal_Game If you haven't played Mafia in a while, it might be wise to check up on the site, as some roles have been removed from the list. Other than that, have fun!
  24. Everyone's accounted for. I'll have Day One up within the next 24 hours.
