Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return - Sewers
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I suppose if the Faerie is it's own separate place outside of Olegaia, it's not out of the realm of possibility there's other places besides Olegaia." Karie admits. She wondered what sights the Fae One might've seen in her travels, but she quickly reminded herself about the task at hand. She could daydream later. She notices Benji fidgeting with the wall, hopefully finding a way out. She turns back to Euflear. "We've had to go through a lot of hoops to get to you. Hopefully once we're in a safer position you can help explain to us what's going on. We were told that you and Cain had been in communication about what has been going on here in the Fae, but... a few days ago, Cain was murderer by the Founders of Heroica. Euflear, do you have any knowledge about the Founders still being alive, after all these years of them seemingly being dead?" -

Karie winces as she notices the blood drenched across Euflear's back. What kind of monster does such a thing as rip a fairy's wings off it's back? "Far Traveler? How does one come upon a title like that?" -

Karie grimaces. "I'm assuming we need light magic? None of us have a diamond. I could potentially recede the vines with an Angelic Aria, but I don't know how effective it would be. We could try and remove the vines with the use of an Emerald, but I'm not familiar with elemental magic." -

"Nobody do anything irrational!" Karie states, her balance become off from the bones and blood. Now wasn't the time to throw up lunch, but it was becoming hard not to. "We need to remove the vines. Benji, do you think you can use some magic to remove them?" -

Somewhat surprised that Benji handed back his mushrooms, Karie eats the Mighty Mushroom, followed by the Level Up Mushroom. "Benji, keep the Tiny Mushroom. I'm not really going to need it as much as Lind thinks. Take one of my meads as well." -

Karie eats the Tiny Mushroom offered to her by Lind. "Lind, don't try and flatter me just yet, we're not out of the woods yet. Still, thank you." Karie grinned at Lind. She knew that a tough decision lay ahead of her. On the one hand she did not want the figure, presumedly the Rosier, getting to the material plane. On the other hand, the Fae One would be able to answer the questions brewing in her head about the Founders. "... we need to rescue the Fae One. Whoever is proceeding through the portal we can catch up with. We don't have that luxury when it comes to the Fae One. Gather your stuff and prepare for a fight. We don't know what we'll find in the lower levels." Karie downs a Grand Tonic and a Smelling Salts. "Once you're all ready, we'll descend into the lower levels." -

Karie smiles, taking Pretzel's offered items and handing him the Cowl. She appreciated the monk's generosity. "Thank you, Pretzel. I know I don't always show it, but I'm thankful I'm with you guys." -

Karie grabs the cowl. She then walks over to Benji and hands over the mushrooms. "Look, I don't know what your issue is, but your problem's been resolved." Karie didn't want to stir up any more of an issue, although in the back of her mind she wondered if this had anything to do with Benji's affection towards Kayla. "Knock it off." -

Karie looked at Benji tepidly. "Look, instead of getting your knickers in a twist, maybe you should be a bit more assertive and a bit less aggressive." Karie rolled her eyes. "Give me the cowl, and I'll give you the mushrooms I was going to keep for myself. -

OOC: I've added the Fairies to the battle order, and I've put Lind last so he doesn't wind up unintentionally dealing damage to someone by accident. -
Sounds like a wave of sets I'm going to have to look out for! D.Va's Mech is a shoe-in for a set. There's no way Lego's not escaping making a kit based off of the iconic pink mech, and that should be good news for everyone. New curve pieces in pink is good! I can also imagine most of the kits being based off of various choke points in stages. Dorado has a nice chokepoint before the first checkpoint with the fountain plaza that'd make a fun set if it included the truck/payload. Also, knowing Activision-Blizzard, they'll also release a collectible mini figure line. Look, everyone! Loot boxes!!

Karie took in what the others had to say about Heroica, airing out their thoughts and grimaces, their hopes and ideals. Karie didn't respond to them directly, merely nodded her head crossed her arms. She thought on the words uttered to her by the others. What was worth saving in Heroica? Karie snapped out of her self reflection as Monk Pretzel spoke to her. She looked to Pretzel, trying to catch up with what he said, only to burst out snickering. "Looks like small miracles do exist. If memory serves me right, Marilyth was the archdemon we faced. He managed to get away, but it seems as if Atramor managed to finish the job. The Academy of Enlightenment incident was a debacle and a half. Demons running roughshod through the school, students who were more concerned about their social image than their own life, it drives me up the wall just trying to remember everything that happened." -
Imperial Officers Mafia - Conclusion
Kintobor replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thank you for having me, Bob, even if it was for just an in game day. I had fun watching the game unfold, and Day 4 was incredibly great! I'm actually in the mood to host again. I know Sandy's got plans to host an Elves mafia, which sounds incredibly fun, but if he still needs time to get it set up, I wouldn't mind giving hosting another go. -

"The Heroica of old is dead." Karie surmises. "Whatever comes next will be better. It won't have Heroes with a capital h, but heroes with a lower case h. It won't be a title of a job description, it'll be something to take pride in." Karie switches to her Nocturne Flute and downs a Nostrum and a Smelling Salt. "I'll admit, this entire plan feels like a desperate last attempt, but if it gets us a shot at the Fae One, then what choice do we honestly have. If any of you lean towards one particular god, Vindsval, now would be a time for a prayer. We'll need the gods on our side for this fight." -

Karie shakes her head in disapproval. "Don't bring up Calamity again. I seriously weighed out my options, and given the current atmosphere, if I see here again I will run her through with a sword." "Well, at least we have some experience." Karie laughed half heartedly. "Last time I came face to face with an archdemon I was stuck in the Academy of Enlightenment. It's... not something I enjoy looking back on." Karie perked up at the mention of decamon cards and began rummaging through her belongings. "You mean with one of these things?" Karie produced her Decamodifier out of her bag. "Just because it's not the same party, doesn't mean we're not going in with the same strategy. If we confront the Rosier, we get her to a point where we flash the Decamodifier on her, and bang, problem solved." -

"Trust me, it's an experience few wish to talk about." Karie replies drily. She looks upon the tower about to be taken on. She worried this would be her end. "What exactly is the plan? We're just charging the tower? Seems like a poor plan, if you ask me." -

Karie gave Lind a gesture of dual finger pistols pointed at him, winking as she did so. "Right-A-Roonie, Lind!" Karie kept an eye out around her as she followed the fae through the fairy dust laden landscape towards the tower. The talk of dark druids and another archdemon had kept her alert. "Am I the only one here with experience dealing with archdemons?" -

Karie passed Throlar her Spring Staff. "It's the end of the world if you want it to be, Lind, although if nothing we do is going to stop it, why are we here in the Faerie? Why risk so much if nothing we do will stop it?" Karie replied. She looked directly at Lind to make sure he was paying attention to what she had to say. "Food for thought." -

Karie loosened her collar, feeling anxious. "Oh. Yeah. I suppose that makes sense. That stuff's pretty powerful." Karie felt a little twitchy around the powder, trying hard not to inhale it. "I think Byblos wants us to be here. A dark seed planted below the sun. The flower grows, take care They come. If Rosier is behind this, then the lines in the poem about flowers growing and a dark seed planted would correlate with that." Karie took a moment to rest on a rock. She took out her make up kit and began reapplying her make up, smearing white paint across her face.
