  1. it is quite similar to Town of Salem, but it's a bit more of a slower boil. Day's last 72 hours and nights last 48 hours. If you enjoy Town of Salem, you'll probably enjoy this!
  2. A long time ago, some five years ago, Eurobricks Mafia was a lot more popular. To prepare new players, the staff mandated that you had to pass a Mafia School game in order to sign up for proper Mafia Games. Seeing as how Mafia on Eurobricks has died down, the rule on it has relaxed somewhat, but I figured for my first game I'd make it a Mafia School game to ease both myself and potential new players into the game.
  3. -When hinges creak in doorless chambers- -and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls,- -whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still,- -that is the time when ghosts are present,- -practicing their terror with ghoulish delight!- Disney's The Haunted Mansion Welcome, foolish mortals, to Mad Monster Mansion! This game is indeed a Mafia School game, and is open to players of all skill levels, both the experienced, the not-so-experienced, and the completely new. This game will be relatively standard in terms of the roles and atmosphere found in most Eurobricks Mafia games, and is a great starting point for anyone interested in playing! Before you may proceed, you must sign up. Post in this thread if you desire to play, and please answer these three questions: 1. Have you played Mafia before? If yes, what kind of experience do you have with Mafia? 2. Will you be able to participate for the next four to six weeks? 3. You've just been cast to play a monster in a big budget movie! What monster or scary creature are you cast as? Sign ups will continue until we get 15 players, but I can extend the amount of participants if need be by a little. As said above, sign ups are open to everyone, so get the word out! Ghoulish fun begins soon!
  4. "Well, if everyone's ready to go, let's head out to the Herald. We can figure out what's going on there, find Frustrated Flying Filly, and then make our next move from there. I can lead this group from here on out if no one else wants to." Karie proclaims.
  5. "Just one." Karie counts out and places 500 gold out, taking a Scroll of Magical Disguise. "Hopefully this will at least make slinking around the city slightly easier. If anyone's got any last minute business to attend to here, do so now. I don't know when we'll be back here. Make sure someone takes the stone Byblos gave us. We'll need it when we go to the Zeigfrieds." She gets out of the chair she had been sitting in since the start of the meeting and tucks it back under the table respectfully. She speaks to Ulric, looking him in the eye, if only to show how serious she was taking things. "Thank you for your cordiality. If you have any problems with Heroicans, report them to me and I'll handle them. At the same time, if you need to contact us, I'm certain you have a means to do so." Karie extends an arm, hoping for a handshake to solidify the alliance with the Wolfgang. She felt a twinge of conflict as she did so, but continued to look Ulric in the eyes.
  6. "We can still go to the Ziegfrieds, I'm just saying it's best for us to get some influence within the city before we go and do anything more drastic than what's already transpired. The last thing we need to happen is us retaking Heroica Hall only to find out that the citizens outside of the Hovels want us dead. We need to ensure we have our bases covered before we confront the Founders, otherwise we might as well pack our bags and flee for the countryside before we have the angry mobs on us." Karie remarks. "I'll be ready to head out once I get confirmation from Ulric about this Scroll of Magical Disguise I wish to purchase from his group."
  7. Just sent the pitch! The way it's going, it looks like we might have a new Mafia School game coming soon if everything goes according to plan.
  8. Thanks @mediumsnowman, this was really helpful! I don't have my entire collection on me at the time, but I think I have enough to go with. I'm busy until late on Sunday, so hopefully we'll have signups out in a few weeks. Wish me luck!
  9. If I wanted to pitch a game, who do I pitch it to? Dragonator, I assume?
  10. "I'd have to agree with going to the Herald. If we go to there we can get some information out of Filly and ensure her safety. If she's an editor and paid for each piece she writes as opposed to actually working at the Herald it's possible she may know others who sympathize with us." She turns to Ulric. "I heard your members had access to various goods accessible only through you, namely a Scroll of Magical Disguise. Any possibility I could buy one off of you, seeing as how I'm here? I know I'm not with your organization, but I feel owning one might assist us if we're going to be going topside." Karie asks, hoping Ulric will allow her to snag one.
  11. Karie pondered on what Pretzel and Ulric stated. Perhaps she'd been looking at this from the wrong angle. "I'll give Ulric enough praise: the poor'd support him through hell and high water. I doubt the Founders are going to be doing anything to change their lot in life, so they'll still support Ulric. Our first move should be to get our voices heard, and remind the people that what's being given to them by the Founders is nothing short of garbage. I say we bust into the Eubric Herald and figure out who this Frustrated Flying Filly is, contact them, and get them to a place of safety. That way we can get our message out there and let people know our opinion on this mess through the use of the Herald."
  12. "Blowing up that wall would be a hell of a way to kick off whatever inevitable assault we decide to go with." Karie remarks. "We could easily cause enough of a distraction with the wall's destruction to cut our way to Heroica Hall and cut the head off of this serpent, so to speak." "I know I said I wanted to check out the Temple of Zoot, but I'm torn between going there or seeing if we can get the assistance of the Ziegfrieds and finding out what happened to the Faerie. The stone's our best clue so far, and having someone who could give us some insight into it might be helpful."
  13. Good game scum! You guys played well! How horrifying knowing I was the only town PR. Was Actor Builder actually the Back Up Doctor like he claimed in a PM chain? That came outta nowhere and I want to know if it was true. As for why I drew suspicion on Steph, part of it was because I got busy and couldn't react to what had gone down, part of it was because I did wonder why I wasn't in the deadboard days after I role claimed. I genuinely got suspicious of Steph. As for myself, I do want to host something soon. It won't be for a few weeks, but whether it's Mafia or something a little different I'm not sure. It'll be fun, to say the least! Still running through potential themes, but I've got a few ideas...
  14. Karie raises a questioning eyebrow. "Explosives? Mind filling me in on what your plan is to do with explosives and the wall?"
  15. Tow the line? What in blue blazes are you talking about? I still think you voting Tony is a move to get someone to move their vote off of Tony, but at this point I'm more than convinced you and Tony are the remaining scum. I have reason to believe Anthony isn't scum, but at this point I'm going with my gut instinct, and what little we have. You aren't cleared town, so that immediately means that your vote means squat, Jared. In my eyes this is a move to guilt a town member to move their vote off of Tony. We need to get this right or we lose tonight. We're in lylo, lynch or lose. Tony, as far as I'm concerned, is the best lynch candidate next to you, Jared.
  16. I'm far more suspicious of Jared than Anthony or Tina. Jared whittled away Day's 1 and 2 voting for Stephanie, finally placing his vote on Amanda on Day 3 and Day 4. Day 5, he places his vote on Stephanie. Jared hammered on Stephanie, claiming that he had reasons to believe Stephanie was scum, and now that we know she's town, this looks pretty suspicious, especially since Stephanie pointed out that Jared had put most of his attention on Stephanie, and Stephanie alone, joining the Amanda bandwagon only because he figured the Stephanie vote wasn't going anywhere until I incorrectly accused Stephanie of using me as a scum tool to protect her. I wish I could've looked through Day 5 more, but I was busy with outside stuff and couldn't keep up with the day. Even you, Tony, found Jared suspicious on Day 5, but now that I accuse you two as being the scum, you rush to his defence. Why is this?
  17. Unless Jared is the second scum. Jared hasn't voted yet, and I find that more suspect than Anthony's actions at this point. If you and Jared are scum, then all three members of the town are voting for you.
  18. Withholding your vote is incredibly suspicious, because it means you're doing so for a reason. Who would you vote for, Jared, if you had to right now? And I want one person, Jared, not "well, this person's kind of suspicious, but so is this person." I want only one answer.
  19. More than a few loyal jurors pointed their suspicions toward Tony. Stephanie in particular was very suspicious of you, and now that she's turned up town, I'm inclined to agree with her. I also have enough reason at this point to trust Anthony, although we'll see where that goes. Needless to say, my vote today: Vote: Tony (jluck) Your scumminess has been called on several occasions. You also attempted to split the vote on day three by convincing Clifford to switch his vote during the last hour of the day. If anyone's got anything to claim, now's the time to do so.
  20. Karie questioned her previous statement. Was going to the temple the best idea? "Ulric, what is your next move? I'd like to have an idea of what you intend to do next so that our group can plan accordingly. As for my crew, where is it that everyone wants to go. The more I think about it, the more I'd like to know before we potentially run into anything dangerous. Perhaps seeking out the Zeigfrieds might not be a bad idea."
  21. Last night I protected Anthony based on a hunch I had. Not sure if it paid off or not. Sorry Steph. I thought I had something and it turned out to be nothing. Steph and I were the only ones in the chat. There was no one else. I'm starting to believe we do not have a Cop or other investigator. We're going into this without a shred of evidence with the exception of votes and what's been said. Needless to say, I still don't trust Tony, and believe him or Jared to be our next best lynch candidates. I don't trust Tina either, due to her quietness.
  22. Those set images floating around are pretty neat. The large mansion set looks different enough from the rest of the wave to get my attention, and the new dinosaur parts look pretty cool, especially the carnosaurus. I can't wait for better images of these kits.
  23. "If the Faerie is run over, I doubt the Fey One is still alive. I don't even know how we'd get to the Faerie, let alone how we could stop an army of demons. Besides, I think whatever is going on has to do with this sunken temple. "A dark seed planted below the sun" means that whatever's happening is taking shape beneath the ground. I don't want to get into a full on fight, but some reconnaissance work to investigate if the temple of Zoot is indeed the site of something going on might be beneficial, unless anyone else has any other leads?" She looks at Ulric, hoping to hear his opinion on the matter.
  24. Unvote: Jared Vote: Stephanie I’ll make this brief because I’m busy. I believe the only reason I’m alive is because I’m an asset to scum. I’ve been played. I don’t trust Stephanie, and I don’t trust Tony. If I’m being honest, I don’t trust anyone. I’m beginning to believe we don’t have a cop, and we don’t have a block. The vote’s split for a reason: Tony or Stephanie is scum. Heck, I wouldn’t doubt it if both were scum. Amanda got lynched because the scum knew it was safe to vote for her. Stephanie’s opinion swayed me to vote for Dez. I think it’s time for Stephanie to sit for awhile outside of this jury.
  25. "Well, it's good to know that we probably won't have to worry about cultists. Still, that temple bothers me. I think our best lead is to investigate this unholy site and see if anything weird's going on." Karie replies. She wondered how beneficial going to the Temple of Zoot would be, but it was the group's only lead so far. "Speaking of leads, Ulric, do you have any informants in the Eubric Herald? There was an editorial written in tonight's paper by someone going by Frustrated Flying Filly. It was a pro-Heroican article apparently lambasting the city for forgetting about us. You wouldn't happen to know who that is, would you?" Karie took Kiray's words in. They were helpful, but not decisive. Perhaps she should've been more precise in her questioning. She replies to Kiray, looking grim. "Kiray, take a look at the stone. The first line reads "Blinding light now over-run". Would "blinding light" be a good description of The Faerie?"
