  1. I targeted Stephanie each night. I'm suspicious of Jared as well. I've been vocal about him slipping about before as well, and I want his opinion on this. Vote: Jared (Kwatchi) Wakey wakey, Jared! What do you have to say about all this?
  2. I think I've got something to go off of, but it's a hunch. There's no reason I should be alive. None. I declared on Day Three that I was in contact with the Doctor who was in contact with Stephanie. I have something I wish to clarify. I am the Doctor, and there was no third party. Why the hell am I still alive? I think Stephanie's playing a "guilt by association" tactic with me, and she's using me as protection during the night. The only reason I can see myself still being alive is if the scum want me around to protect Stephanie. Either that, or I'm wrong.
  3. Wow, this topic has been sitting here gathering dust for a while. Let's change that. Nintendo has announced that they're partnering with Illumination to make a Super Mario Bros. Movie. Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the Super Mario character, and Chris Meledandri will co-produce. For myself, I'm happy Nintendo's finally realizing that their properties have the potential to make good movies when given to the right people. I don't think Illumination was the right call, though, especially with Meledandri's record of films, including Minions, Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets, The Lorax, and Ice Age and all it's sequels. I think I'm more interested in what we might potentially get if the film's successful, though. Nintendo might feel more confident in it's IPs and we might get some movies that I'd actually be excited to see, like Starfox, Zelda, or Metroid. Heck, I think Splatoon could make for a fun movie.
  4. "Who else knows, or perhaps even knew about this temple besides the Wolfgang and those of us now present? I assume some members of Heroica do, but I have no doubt in my mind that Byblos's message and the Founders arrival is no coincidence. We know they intend to resurrect people, perhaps Zoot cultists might be what they intend to resurrect? If that's the case we can certainly convince the Paladin Order to back off and remove their support from this Council." "He's right. If we're going to be taking on the Founders, it's going to have be through means other than a direct confrontation, at least for the time being." Karie thought about the next course of action, now that she'd obtained Wolfgang support. Her mind raced back to the stone, things she'd heard of around the hall, tales told to her as a child. Something Kiray said earlier began bugging Karie. "Kiray, you said you met the Fae One. Was it in the Faerie? If so, can you describe it?"
  5. "Yes, they mentioned you had information on Byblos and-" Karie stops as the glowing white stone is displayed. Despite leaving her pickpocketing days behind her, Karie couldn't help but be attracted to the stone and it's glyphs. "Well that riddle's certainly ominous. I've heard of ruins being beneath the city, even pocketing the sewers. What do you know about this temple?"
  6. We need a lynch, and I'm okay with voting for Amanda. That doesn't at all remove suspicion from Anthony in my mind, but I'd rather have a lynch today than nothing to work with tomorrow. Unvote: Anthony (Actor Builder) Vote: Amanda (Khscarymovie4) I still find Anthony incredibly suspicious, and I'd like to start tomorrow with an investigation into him.
  7. With less than 24 hours to go, that's a pretty ballsy thing to say. What do you benefit from by withholding your vote?
  8. "It's up to you how you want to face the Paladins. Having some healing support would be beneficial, but I've heard of the power vindicators wield." Karie responds, turning to Vindsval with her back to Ulric. "I won't say no to either, Vindsval. My only stipulation is that we proceed forward as a group, as a team. I've lead enough parties that nearly tore themselves apart. You remember Immortalis, Vind? Gods, I'm surprised that group kept itself together. As for how we proceed, it'd be wise to get our facts straight, or as straight as we can get them, before going forward. Let's answer the questions we can now and make sure everyone's on the same page before we decide to do anything. Whatever we do, we need to keep the citizenry in mind. We need their support if we're ultimately going to take back this city." Karie looked over the editorial she managed to snag from the Eubric Herald back at the Lady Luck's Locale. She wondered who the mysterious Frustrated Flying Filly was, and whether they could help. "If you got questions, let's hear them. Perhaps some of us can answer them."
  9. Sure, I'll comment, since I started it. Dez's mulling during the last moments of the day seemed really scummy. I think we can safely rule out me and Tina since the vote was too close together to be anything but coincidence. I'm more than certain scum jumped on that bandwagon, as I'm certain scum jumped on the Amanda bandwagon. However, Anthony hopped on that bandwagon once it looked like it was taking off. He said something yesterday that really irked me as well right after his vote for Tina: "if she never responds, she's already got three penalty votes, so we can lynch her easily if we can't agree on an active juror." This has always been a scum tactic every time I've seen it pulled. An inactive townie makes the perfect lynch for scum with penalty votes, and the scum simply claim the lynch through not needing as many people to vote. His move off of Tina and onto Dez looks like scum trying to blend in after Tina perks up. Vote: Anthony (Actor Builder) I'm still suspicious of Amanda, but hopefully everyone gets there vote in timely so we have time to discuss and not end up like a scenario we had yesterday. As well, I'd consider anyone withholding their vote suspicious.
  10. I'm sorry to hear that WBD. Take the time you need.
  11. "Thanks." Karie looked over the photo again, grinning and nodding to herself as her suspicions were confirmed. "Just as I thought. The Fae One's missing from this group photo. I find it suspicious that all the veterans return to retake the hall except the Fae One, which begs the question: where are they?"
  12. "Agreed." Karie nods. "For the time being Ulric, I believe what remains of Heroica and the Wolfgang can come to an alliance. Once this is over we'll talk politics." Karie pauses thinking over the information provided. "We still have no idea who the Council are going to be resurrecting, or to what extent. We're still going off the assumption that the Founders are not actually the Founders, so I doubt the Miracle Worker could actually bring back to life the people they intend to to the extent the actual Miracle Worker was capable of in legend. I don't know what good resurrecting the Wolfgang Generals will do for them, but it was merely a thought I had." Karie mulls over information as it comes at her, trying to unlock the secrets of the puzzle before her. Part of her was also happy to learn where Kayla was buried. She hoped after all this was over to have her remains moved to the cemetery proper. "That's not the only thing weirding me out about these Founders, either. Does anyone have a copy of tonight's Eubric Herald? The one with the Founders on the front? I just need the front page."
  13. Everyone in the jury voted for either Amanda or Dez. You claiming that it could've changed less committed ones to change is ridiculous, as everyone was either committed to the Amanda or Dez bandwagon. And do you really expect the less committed jurors to be around during the last hour of the day, Tony? You're basically trying to defend the town going into Day 4 without a lynch, and that's ridiculously scummy in my eyes.
  14. Fair enough. Just making sure. Most first lynches are townies, Cliff. Typically we get one on Day 1, but this town is so split that it took us until Day 3 to get one. It's nothing to get too worked up about. Amanda would've needed one more vote even with you on it. With you voting for Dez we got the six to ultimately lynch him.
  15. We didn't know Dez was town at the time, and that statement is insincere, Tony. If Clifford had kept his vote on Amanda, we'd be on Day 4 without a single lynch. We'd be back to Day 1 all over again. This is stuff I'm willing to forgive the newer jurors for not grasping. You on the other hand Tony should know this.
  16. Are you claiming you have evidence to support Amanda being scum?
  17. I'm also suspicious of Tony for pushing Clifford to remove his vote from Dez yesterday. We now know Dez was town, but not having a lynch yesterday would've been brutal for us today.
  18. Hmm. I'm surprised. Dez's seeming lack of content during his pushback seemed scummy. Nonetheless, yesterday's lynch gave us some things to work through. Also, holy cow I'm still here. The Amanda lynch was never going to take off with the time we had yesterday. I do agree though that Amanda's worth investigating, and a lynch against her could very well happen today.
  19. "Depends on who you asked." Karie commented, curious as to who exactly the Miracle Worker was resurrecting, and why. "The only reason I can the founders raising the dead is for an army, but there could be more nefarious reasons behind it as well. I remember the Golden Dragon stating that "when the dead speak, it's hard for people not to listen. They tell many truths that others would prefer lay hidden". She then asked me what the dead would say about me." Karie calmly thought, her mind racing to people who'd the new regime would want to speak. "Do you know where your three generals are buried, Ulric? Do you know where... Kayla's buried?"
  20. Karie didn't know what kind of answer she'd receive. She didn't know whether or not to even believe Ulric's statements about her sister. Karie leaned back in her chair and exhaled, swirling her mug, looking Ulric over, trying to get a read, but ultimately finding it useless. She'd made up her mind before she even came here. "I came here Ulric not to join the Wolfgang, and not to support you. I instead came here to ensure this city doesn't collapse in on itself. If there's one thing Kayla and I have in common, it's ultimately a desire to see this city improve into something that's not a corrupt sinkhole for the houses. I think the two of us can agree that the houses were ultimately fuelling this dumpster fire of a situation we're in, Ulric, what with the Sungold Alliance and the Crescent Union. I've heard of what the Wolfgang has done to help the poor, and I find it admirable. Hel, I'll go another step and say that what I've heard of your proposed laws I like most of them: stop greenskin slavery, end the corruption in the watch, and actually look into improving the lives of those in the Hovels: the houses weren't going to change any of that. They were more than happy to turn a blind eye and look the other way in order to make themselves look better." Karie reflects intensely, knowing that she'd have to watch what she said in order to appease both Ulric's sense of duty and her own increasingly morphing sense of morality. It was time for Karie to take command and direct this show. This could be her magnum opus: her great performance. She hoped deep down that her daughter was alright. "I'm not here to join the Wolfgang or its cause. I'm not here to support your claim to this throne that everyone keeps yammering on about, because in my mind. I'm here to save this city, the city that Kayla wanted to see be better than it is today for my child, and my child's children, and that's where my position lies. From what I've heard of you, you've been benevolent to those who would disagree with you. I hope we can come to an agreement now and figure out politics later." Karie crossed her arms, looking to Ulric for his reply. She wanted to get to gathering intel, but she needed to be clear on her stance. She would not support Ulric on the throne.
  21. Karie laughs, drinking out of her mug as she chuckles, a streak of bitterness boiling over. "If this was four years ago I would've run you through with a sword, but it's not four years ago, now is it? I don't blame you for Kayla's death, but ultimately Ulric, trying to get me join your cause isn't going to help you. You're not Kayla's murderer. She joined the Wolfgang of her own free volition." Karie stopped, searching for words. She planned for this moment for so long, and yet now that she was here she felt no need for revenge, no need for Ulric's death, at least not yet. Karie drank from her mug again. "You're the only person I've met who truly knew Kayla. What was she like?"
  22. If this isn't pressuring Clifford to remove his vote from you, I don't know what is.
  23. And you're not pressuring Clifford to remove his vote from you? I find this hypocritical. You're not achieving the Amanda lynch with mere minutes to spare. I agree, Amanda's suspicious, but if we don't have a lynch today, the town's at a massive disadvantage going into Day Four, and you in my mind are the most suspicious person today.
  24. We have an hour left, Clifford. If we do not lynch someone today, the scum will guarantee kill of a townie tonight, and we'll start Day 4 having gotten nowhere. Amanda's not going to get lynched in an hour. Dez can, and your vote is what's stopping it. Clifford, I thought you were town, but this is ridiculously scummy behaviour.
  25. Really? You're going to have us enter Day 4 at the exact same spot we were at Day 1? Voting for Amanda at this point is not going to get us anywhere: that bandwagon isn't going to start off within an hour of time left. Clifford, you're going to doom us all.
