If this is the case I just hope that tracks stay the same or are at least compatible. Nothing stops a battery-powered train from running on electric track, now, does it? :-) Sounds terrific. But wouldn't that be a quite "complicated" system like the 12V system that LEGO wanted to avoid by switching to the "simple" 9V system? I wouldn't mind but I heard 12V was deemed to complicated by customers hence the switch...

You're gonna fit all that on 10x13 base-plates? What more is there to build? ;) I wish I could decide on a plan what my layout will look like |-/

Is it really a new R/C system or "just" a new R/C train? Lot's of rumors so far...

Well, another jackpot... So, let's rephrase: What would you do with about 113(!) million Euro?! PS: I won 11 Euro. Subtract 10 Euro for playing and I have an amazing net gain of 1 Euro ;)

For non-Europeans: see http://www.euromillions.be/default.aspx?cu...=en&pageid=home What would you do?... after buying all existing LEGO, that is ;) I, frankly, have no idea. That's just too much to think about... just start spending and see what happens...

By someone called "cvianini": http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=137662 Note his "minifigs" - cool idea IMHO :o

Hi, another town/trains-fan, very good :-D As for shopping possibilities, I'm afraid you won't find a cheaper place than North America, especially the US. It's more expensive everywhere else (see "Pricing comments" at Jake McKee's LEGO Blog for details as to why) :( But do stick around at this fun place called world... errr... eurobricks ;)

Last Saturday at a local TRU: I roamed the LEGO aisles and overheard a mom and her son (about 10 years old): Boy: *pointing at the Ferrari Scuderia Truck* Look! I want that! Mom: Hmm... *looks at price tag, EUR 59.99* WHAT?! For 60 Euro? No, no way. Boy: Are you sure? *I had to smile at that answer* Mom: Yes, not for 60 Euro. That's way to expensive. No chance. Lets look for something else. One might think with "something else" the mom meant other LEGO sets - but they went for other toys :( I hear this kind of conversations all the time...

Somehow that's exactly how I've pictured you all the time...

That's OK, I'll get it somehow ;) But what's not OK is an obvious problem in the flow of information from TLC to the stores >:(

I feel with christopher110... That's what Jake said in his interview, too. But sometimes brickshelf is pretty discouraging - like what I found there yesterday. I voted 2 *satis*

They usually are. Mine is a basic machine, not many features: it makes coffee at the push of a button. That's what I wanted, that's what I got - even on sale. The current regular price still hasn't reached the sale price I got about 2 years ago. I wouldn't buy those excessively expensive machines. They are like modern day cell phones: too many gadgets no one needs... Yet here I am, arguing your statement. It does taste different. I've had this discussion with a good friend of mine some years ago. He said the same thing. But, since I'm always right, others can't be. And this applies here, too, of course.

That is/should be a given ;)

Welcome at EB! Finally another town fan *satis*

WHOA - no, xwingyoda, I didn't mean that I like my coffee the american way[1] - god forbid! :oo It's just that a classic espresso is not enough "fluid" for me, I'd like to have more than two sips out of my cup ;) Thus I prefer a "crema" (not latte!) - but a strong one! My girlfriend likes latte (I do, too, when I'm in a restaurant, for example), but also a strong brew. No, no, coffee has to taste like one, not just look like it ;) [1] I have to admit, that in some places in the US you do get some good coffee nowadays. You pay your price but it's gotten a lot better compared to the classic breakfast-diner-free-coffee-until-you-drop swill. So do I - not in a drinking pot but in one of those tin boxes you can buy your coffee beans in *satis*

Before I get my adrenaline all pumped up I'd like to know what it is. Is it a train, or a new remote-control system (signals etc.), or what? But I do have to admit that my pulse is a bit higher since the news...
-
They're ok. My girlfriend used to have a Nespresso in her office. But we both like a "cafe crema" better. We're not espresso drinkers, we're coffee drinkers... well, she is. I have coffee in my veins, so my well-being depends on that black gold ;)

Definitely! But only when made with this: Come to think of it... *dashingintokitchentomakecoffee* Don't go to bed without one :-D

Here are the fees - it'll be quite a sum he will have to pay for not selling anything if he really boosted his own auction. I got my Eldorado Fortress without the box but with unpunched instructions. The instructions were in pretty good and the bricks in close-to-perfect condition (which surprised me positively). I paid 35 euro for it (it was a "buy now" auction). In such a case I gladly pass on the box... Why don't I ever find stupid buyers like that... :|

Greatgreatgreatgreat, thx! :')

To create some traffic about really important stuff: I found this on brickshelf and find it pretty cool: Traincrossing with Mindstorm Control Anybody else think so? I know, it's not SW or Vikings or Castle or that other theme with those ships and monkeys and palm trees and funny looking minifigs (can't think of the name at the moment), but I think this board needs some diversity...
