  1. Yes, I think we all agree on that. For the future: try acronymfinder.com, you usually can find everything there. It even has "MOC" ;) Open fridge, put elephant in, close fridge ;)
  2. I see. Thanks :)
  3. Says who?! :o
  4. Kinda ironic considering how much you abbreviate yourself... or's your keyboard stuck? SCNR *twisted* That's an addiction I've given in to, also, so I can relate quite well... looking for "Model Team" stuff at the moment... pretty expensive now :/ Back to Vikings: Definitely not my theme but refreshing to see that TLC bets their money on their own creations again.
  5. Mmmmm... nice one! It'd be to big for my layout but I like it :) As for attaching images: it seems the yahoo-galleries use dynamic pages and the forum doesn't allow that in an tag.
  6. I had said everything I wanted, I didn't keep the thread alive by asking for hats...
  7. Looks great! May I suggest something, though: Try putting the big sail on the second mast and the two smaller ones on the front mast. Methinks that would look better... But in general a great MOC :)
  8. You're not going off topic again, are you? Non at the moment, but usually two. Not simultaneously, of course.
  9. His term sure was a short one, albeit full of disturbance...
  10. I did notice the age of the three of you in your profiles. And to be honest, I was surprised! You guys don't "sound" that young. Hats off to you, really :) But exceptions prove the rules, as they say. And you're LEGO enthusiasts. LEGO people are good people. I was only ranting about the youngins that cross my way every morning on public transportation here in Vienna. They obviously are not LEGO people :/
  11. Cool use of those funny technic bricks, nice job! :)
  12. And here I thought he had learned |-/ Well, that shows how much you can "trust" today's youth. I've always said so and now have proof...
  13. Hi Dreamweb, I can't give you a "competent analysis" since I'm not a MOC-builder (yet), I can only say that I like the detail and I think it looks great :oD
  14. That's a good question. I'm looking for inspiration also, although 9V. I usually look around on brickshelf by just searching for "layout" or "layouts". There are some interesting ones but mostly too big since they're from shows. But maybe there's an inspiration among them... PS: Gotta love the 7725! I added another waggon and put it on a 9V motor. I'm thinking of using it as some sort of subway or El, not sure yet how my layout will look :)
  15. He would have to use more than one pie-chart. Then it shouldn't be a problem. Using a "numbers-based" tool isn't that a bad idea. People in charge above a certain management level don't understand words well. They need numbers and pictures. Almost like little kids. If you can give them that they're happy. So, I think it's better than a very long text document. Sure, Jake probably will do the last "refurbishing" but providing him with a pre-formatted survey-result just shows that this was done with care and good will. Can only help. My 2 cents... (I'm running out of change here *wacko*)
  16. Umm... by which you mean? I'll take that as a compliment :)
  17. Hmm... what I like in the HP sets are those tiles with the "wood structure" and the colors of the generic bricks. I could use the tiles for little huts and stuff and the bricks for houses. But there aren't enough in a box to justify a purchase. That would be a bit... excessive... In general I'm not too happy with the HP sets. But that's a Town/Train head speaking... To answer Cyclonis' question: yes, I also think those two pieces are useless outside that set.
  18. And with this we "close the circle": As you can see, Mel, things are not that strict here and thus I'm sure you'll like this place *satis* And we're on topic again ;)
  19. Huh? ... Oh! Why, thanks xwingyoda, I'm flattered :$ (How'd you know it's among my top favorite moovees? ;) )
  20. I justify talking about women and Australia in general as being related to the title of the thread. Your sister and that Mary person just happen to be female also.
  21. You consider me equal although I only own 5 sets? .... I'm flattered... really... :$
  22. I don't really see anything off topic: we're talking Australia and women - Mel is both. So it's pretty on topic I'd say. And, as you already pointed out, it's a non-LEGO-thread - what exactly is "on topic" there? ;) PS: You're not that horrible from what I've seen so far...
