  1. Was it just me or was the website down? Couldn't "find" it this morning, until a couple of minutes ago. Scared me to death, I didn't know wherelse to surf! Don't ever do that again ;)

Joined the day I found it. I didn't know that it was infested with a pirate plague
  3. This should be the one it's based on according to his gallery. I like the "style" and I think it looks very "accurate". Has a kind of "crusaders look" to it :)
  4. Ain't we supposed to not post pics yet?
  5. Hey, I wanted to buy that! ;)
  6. Nice find! Especially "Imperial Spirit" and "Booming Betty" (great name) are to my taste :) |-D

    A Jetplane

Exaggly! Finally someone who appreciates that fact - and actually uses it as an argument ;) The plane reminds me of the F117A Stealth Bomber whicht isn't really slim, either.
  8. There's not much to add. "Normal" city stuff has been on the wishlist of town fans for years. I'd like a "modern" version of the red house in Main Street, in different colors with different shops. It doesn't have to be a big set, we can "finish" it with standard bricks on our own. A few of those (imagining tan and sand green) would be nice for starters... A new marina, harbor (combined with a cargo train station), oil rig, hotel, taxi, bus station, cottages, super market... and then I need a new house to stuff all that in...
  9. I dunno, I don't like the sports sets much. Then again I'm not into soccer or basketball. Maybe if they made a baseball set I'd get it ;) As for the two stations: I didn't like them at first, either. Then I got the police station two months ago at a good deal. I must say it's not that bad. Of course the baseplate is stupid, but with a little change here or there you can make quite a decent police station out of it, even with the baseplate. I like the kinda "dark" look of it. The black goes good with it. With the firestation I like the color scheme. That new red combined with the black and grey has a good look. The station itself is pretty boring but I like the car. Still, only for the car I won't buy the station at full price. But I guess that discussion belongs in the Train/City forum ;)
  10. Aaaah, finally someone new who likes the one and only true LEGO theme - Welcome *satis*
  11. At first sight they look like a "gold" version of those in 4883...
  12. It is. The models all are smaller versions of existing LEGO models: 7725, 7740, 7745, 7750, 7760, 7820 That's the beauty/"cutey" of it ;)
  13. Funny :D I can't read it but the models are "cute". And so nostalgic... Can anybody translate by any chance? ;)
  14. Geizhals Austrian Shopping Comparison site, occasional poster 1000steine.de registered, just lurking LUGNET registered, lurking from time to time LEGOFan registered, lurking very rarely I'm also registered at some IT boards (helps with my work) but I'm not sure if I remember my login credentials since I haven't been there in ages...
  15. That carrier is a castle. One that's swimming instead of "standing" on a mountain... ;)
  16. V-LC-18B Edit: I just can't stand large pictures in posts, so I edited them. Pics are links to the gallery-pics on brickshelf. Perfectly great looking 6wide truck: Nice "street front": Entire Frechen 2006 galleries (plural!): clickieclickie

  18. That's what the helicopter is for ;)
  19. Anybody seen this already? http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~mbsf/sworde.htm
  20. As Sastrei already mentioned, to me this reads: 6 x 1.5V AA batteries = 9V. So, use 6 rechargables - where's the problem (except that 6 AAs use up, a whole lot of space, TLC!!!)??? Yes, please! ;)
  21. Yeah, CDG for example ;) I think the new airport was made to fit in the city theme, of course. So it looks like a city airport (although I still think it need walls...). 6597/10159 looks more like a "caribbean island airport", or Mauritian for that matter ;) Back in the 80s and 90s cities/city theme didn't have that "steel city look" like today. Everything looked like holidays, vacation and fun at the beach. So the airport was made to fit in there. The only thing I don't like is the tower, looks crappy. Other than that it was a nice looking airport. Both have their right to exist, I think, but it's a bit disappointing TLC didn't make a bit more out of the new airport (and I'm not talking juniorisation). I can't help it but it looks unfinished to me...
  22. Plane: I hate it that the wing is one big part. You have those strange "steps" in the middle of the cabin. Not a good solution. At least they could've designed the "plane body" so the wing "integrates" with the floor, not build it on the floor. Annoying. Other than that a cool looking plane. Building: Uh, hello? This thing needs walls! The interior detail is cool, though, I like it. Still, the whole thing looks unfinished. Guess I'll wait for a sale and then get two...
  23. LOL - Fabuland Housewives! Can't wait to see that! |-D Nice MOCs, I especially like the Town stuff :)
  24. Good effort on the ICE. ICE MOCs have been around for quite some time but I like this original design. The cargo train doesn't really sweep me off my feet, except for the locomotive. Looks like a good old design (with "normal" doors). Wouldn't you be a bit late for that? ;)
