  1. The yellow heads look A LOT better, they just don't go well with the hands. All peach or all yellow is better. I prefer the latter, of course...
  2. ... and someone has finally done it: (click for gallery) I never thought it could work but I have to admit it looks cool.
  3. WHOA! Looks like a WWI or later military train. Simply awesome, methinks... I've seen crocodiles like that one before but never an entire train, let alone with such detailed accessories like here. (click me for more) At the time of this post the auction is/was at EUR 295.00 with 1 day and 4 hours to go.
  4. ROFL :-D
  5. I have MLCAD and LDD installed but I'm not ok at all. The problem's not with the software, though, it's just that I'm totally incompetent when it comes to using that type of software. And that I'm absolutely untalented concerning designing stuff doesn't help, either. The programs look pretty easy to use, though. So, if you're the complete opposite of me you should indeed be fine
  6. I don't know where he'll take it, I'll just be positively surprised... I hope. What makes me look forward to seeing more is that in the first picture he shows a battle. And he has lots of MFs. And he bothered to "make" unique generals Lee and Grant. Looks like he doesn't just put a bunch of MFs on a baseplate, call it a battle and take a pic. Hopefully he puts as much detail in the rest of what he has planned. I could be totally off, though. That's why I called it "A Gallery to watch"...
  7. He obviously just started his gallery but from what I can see so far I'm looking forward to more pics :) (click me)
  8. Nope, you're not. I already mentioned that before in this thread. I'm actually at GMT+1 but the board shows the correct time only when I set it to GMT, regardless of the DST setting. That has been the case with the old forum, too, though...
  9. What I also noticed: * Forum or Topic Options button doesn't do anything anymore * There was a "Quick Edit" option once when you clicked on "Edit" in your post. It allowed you to edit the post "directly" without the standard editor. That was a nice feature. Doesn't work anymore. Now, do I have some board settings wrong or is that intended? ... before I go and mess up my board profile with all kind of weird settings
  10. That is true. Problem is - I don't build space ships Ah, well, judging by your avatar you're biased
  11. Well, I never knew what MF-scale really is anyways. That unimog is 6wide and fits a MF - so it's MF-scale to me
  12. I saw some Exo Force sets displayed in a store window the other day. And I must admit that they looked nice. But other than displaying I wouldn't know what "to do" with them. Not even with the parts.
  13. I see this "feature" as a nice gimmick, nothing more. Today I'm on this list with 9 posts (prior to this post) but I definitely just posted 5 times after midnight (cos I sleep at that time ). Within the last 24 hours those 9 posts seem right, though. But I don't check that list that often... Talking about hours: the forum time's still an hour off: with the correct time zone setting I'm an hour ahead, regardless of automatic or manual DST setting (manual puts me ahead 2 hours). Maybe that does influence the outcome of that list...
  14. V-LV-58D Whoa! Lots and nice use of snotting and still "MF-scale". Gallery: >>clicky<< For those who don't know this nifty little vehicle: Lots of Unimogs here
  15. Yeah, that's how I use them at the moment. Looks like the folder where those icons are supposed to be is not there or they've been moved or something...
  16. What.... is that?!?! Oh, those licenses..............
  17. If you mean bricks, of course you can. You can use any LEGO brick in any set. It's up to you, isn't it? "Just imagine!" If you mean the two themes in general, well, my Pirates "intersect" with my Town/Train. And in my earlier days when I only had Castle and Town/Train they intersected, too. So, there. Whether that's "appropriate" or not shouldn't be of any concern I'd say, from a serious MOCer/AFOL point of view it's probably some sort of blasphemy. From an average LEGO fan's point of view it shouldn't matter as long as they like the result. But that's just my $0.02...
  18. I noticed that, too. I only remember my 4th birthday very faintly and thus don't really qualify as Duplo clientele, but you never know what might "come along" You mean the UCS or the MF-set? I don't like the UCS at all. IMHO they messed that up pretty bad. The MF-car looks a lot better. Although it's not my theme, either... I think I have to agree. I do have very few Technic sets from the early 80s, but the sets of late made me ponder if I should get me a few, even if just for display...
  19. Is it just me or is anybody else having the same "phenomenon"? I don't see the "posting icons" anymore when writing a post: Example It did work already after the forum upgrade...
  20. np I like(d) the big(ger) Model Team and Technic sets. But they're for display. I can find room on my shelfs, no problem. The new City sets do present a problem, though. I mean, who is the "new" target group for TLG? Families with own rooms for each kid plus a big LEGO-room for each kid??? Not to mention the dad himself... It's on one of those pics from the link that doesn't work anymore...
  21. Thanks again, sam. I'm worried about the size of the new City sets - that crane is just huge! I was excited when I saw pictures of it for the first time, but now that I've seen its real size (compared to the ppl in the background of the pictures) I wonder where I'm supposed to put it in a layout. It just crushes anything else City. Same goes for the new planes. I don't have an entire loft just for my layout :( With all that in mind I liked this set best: That's "classic LEGO scale"... Come to think of it, I could get two cranes and build an oil rig... hmm... :glare:
  22. Yes, please :) Are the prices final? Because on the website it says "from
  23. I liked it As I said, where I grew up farmers used tractors like that, even with that color. Except for a few details I don't think it's that bad, either...
