  1. You need a digicam...
  2. Yes.
  3. From mowing lawns I supposed. But it looks like you do it for free - not at all pirate-like ;)
  4. By saving the money you get, for example...
  5. I dunno, maybe your grannies are a bit adamant about their lawns...
  6. Your grannies' lawn - and that every day. That should earn you a digicam within a month.
  7. Sounded like it, though...
  8. Huh... guess my grandchildren will have the honor to see your photo review... With all the lawnmowing you do you should have 10 digicams by now ;)
  9. What might add to the "boringness" might be the walls behind/around the display. It looks like a cabin, so there's lots of brown on the pictures. The village itself, I'm afraid, looks pretty realistic. And I've seen shores that grey or black. I don't know if they exist in the north but they do exist. Nevertheless, MOCs don't have to be that realistic, I guess, a few colors couldn't have hurt ;)
  10. The first link works now (for me at least)...
  11. Oh... seems the site is down at the moment, it did work when I posted it ;) Here's a different link: http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000370068224/
  12. Those would even fit in a town as sort of an "old city center" :oD Great find, thx!
  13. that's how it looked back then... I think... I can imagine, at least... maybe...

    VOC Ship...

Emphasis on "all", and "all" meaning "all 24"... I like it. I like that it looks like a real ship color-wise. Reminds me of the small-scale plastic models I built as a kid. I never painted them cos I thought they looked better unpainted. Although the colors were one of the aspects that made the BSB so "attractive" here it's the lack of. I like the way he used the 1x2 handles as a rail. The sails look good, too, although you're right when you say those at the stern crumble too much, and in general they could use more rigging. But that's a pain to do so and can be forgiven. I can't make out too many more details, but overall I think it's a very nice MOC.

    VOC Ship...

Considering the time at which you post I'm not surprised. Or is this a game of "Which statement(s) is/are wrong?"...
  16. Where do you live? When are you gone for a few days so I can break in? ;)

    Custom Track

I bought a few custom track from the guy in the link from my previous post. Am very satisfied, saved me lots of work. What I like about his work is that he does it all without solder (execpt for 1/4 straights). Today I found he just finished a new - IMHO awesome - custom track: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1496374 :oo
  18. Proves that vikings did live peaceful: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1495691 Enjoy :)

    VOC Ship...

For above mentioned reasons. But I'm flattered that you noticed, busy person that you are ;)
  20. Anybody seen this already? I'll have at least one :oD

    VOC Ship...

You kidding?! I haven't posted that much on any other message board I'm registered with. No, I was busy, came home late, had to a lot of home improvement (which I hate), and if I was on I had so many threads/posts to catch up with that by the time I was done I didn't wanna post anymore. And there were maaaaaany SW-and-other-theater-stuff related threads/posts which I'm not that interested in. Then the City sets came out which caught my attention, of course, and the pirates/castle gang talked about stuff I couldn't add much to. Oh yeah, and I did go on vacation :)

    VOC Ship...

Translating via german it should be something like "United East Indian Company".

  25. Thanks, that's encouraging :)
