  1. Amazing you even incorporated suspension into it. Love the idea, Wish I had some of those sprung axles.
  2. This is beautifully cute. Interesting choice on the rear fuselage to taper the top rather than the bottom. Though Im not a fan of the wheels, there regrettably isnt much part choice with that. And the wings arent parallel either, though on the Sopwith, the wings are closer at the tip than at the root (Not sure if thats the correct term for the fuselage edge of the wing, been a while since Ive used much aircraft terminology), Which is opposite what you did. Overall, I think this is the best minifig scale Sopwith Ive ever seen.
  3. Very nice, Though the tenders are about 2 bricks short. I would recommend bringing the top of the tenders off to the cab roof level. It would look more accurate to the model you based it off of.
  4. One thing I remember from my trip to England, Plenty of water, mostly in the form of rain. XD
  5. Wait what? XD sorry I thought you were the original poster. Sorry bout that. Ive been on my phone all day and I must have not seen the names correctly! I was on EB from my phone if that wasnt clear enough... I feel stupid now. The problem with the buggy motor is it is high speed and fairly large compared to Lego Trains. I dont see any way of fitting the buggy motor into the tender or loco. Though I may be mistaken.
  6. I didnt say that. The normal EN setup suggested by Lego works well enough with slight modification. And if a motor bogie goes in the tender, the battery box would weigh it down. Search the Train Tech for anything on the EN. Almost every threat on it is very helpful for those new to the EN. Much more helpful than anything I could say.
  7. Oh. I thought you were referring to the EN. Exactly what is the difference between the 2 FS you are talking about? Im not very knowledgeable on British railroading. Though American I know slightly more. xD
  8. The use of a Lego buggy motor would never work with the EN. Just saying that now. And I am assuming you want to power it somewhat like a tender driven model train. The problem is the center of the locomotives turn. It is far from the cab so the chances of getting power from the tender to drive the drivers is very low. And not to mention it would most likely look much odder than just a large motor in the cab, which from experience, can be covered up and still sit figures in it with an XL motor. Though, You can use a PF motor bogie to power the tender and just push the loco in front of it.
  9. The EN doesnt have a double smokestack. I think what you are thinking is a stack is the light in the front. But I hope you succeed. I love the look of the Scotsman.
  10. Sorry. I dont live close to that.
  11. Where in NY is this? Like relative to other major cities.
  12. Mostly wood, foundation stone. Porches and many windows. Thats pretty much it. :)
  13. I think the stairs should be changed. They stick out a bit too far to match the prototype. But very nice for everything else. Edit- Actually, looking at this again, I see the stairs are fairly recessed. Though I still dont think they as good as they could be.
  14. I always loved how much 12V track resembles Lionel O27 track.
  15. The problem is a lot of people do not like the flex track. It has its uses, such as here.
  16. Nicely said. Still, I dont think Im going to invest in 9V equipment. Track seems to be a fortune. Though I always had my eye on the Santa Fe. But with the parent thing, I dont mean in EVERY situation, but many definitely. But yes, Try PF. It is a good experience even if you dont use it again.
  17. There are lots of problems with MOCpages in the previous months. Gota just wait and hope its fixed. But speaking of the site, has anyone else have this problem? On the main page, the recent activity bar hasnt updated in about a week or 2.
  18. My rolling stock is all 8 wide and my steamers max out at 10 wide on the pistons and driving rods. Though they are built to 8 wide. An XL motor can easily fit in a tender if it is 8 wide. for 6 wide you may have to use some snot techniques or panel elements. And I didnt mention anything on 9V because I never really used it. I wasnt into Legp trains much in the 9V era. Mostly because I was a kid and couldnt buy it on my own. But I did have the Santa Fe loco and an oval of 9V track. Although I had a motor, I never had the 9V transformer. Parents never understand toys like kids do. So I have no experience with 9V. That id why I didnt mention it. My knowledge mostly lies in PF. Sorry for the typos. Im on my phone and cant catch the mistakes like I would on a computer.
  19. Make them ride Lego trains. And build for me occasionally. Though I think they would soon split into factions. Normals, Star Wars, and Collectibles. Hopefully weapons wouldnt be functional or everyones in trouble. A zip lock bag of guns and swords, Not to mention a few Star Wars ships still in one piece. What a horrible war that would be. But would Minifigs really be violent? Maybe magically a Utopian society would form and everyone could live happily together. But if they have picked anything up from the species they were designed after, I dont see that as a likely outcome...
  20. Yes I know that, I just dont know about flange clearance on the frog. Do you know if modern flanges clear 12V point frogs? I dont own any sadly to check myself.
  21. 90% chance it will be. Not entirely sure of the flange change, But I can say the tracks are all the same gauge. So the only issue may be with points as the EN has problems with them with any type Lego track. So you can use the Emerald Night. Yes. I just checked. Though I cant check with points. But Im sure it will be fine.
  22. Haha No thanks ES! I already have my design anyway. Its a 0-4-4 Forney built for the Long Island RR sometime around 1892. Though lacking any more research on the LIRR's use of these, I may make decals for the New York Elevated. Still deciding.
  23. I know, Im just curious as this topic was pushed to the 2nd page. And its one of the handful of topics that spark my interest currently. Oh yeah, also, My entry is almost complete. Just need to add detail bits and decals.
  24. Anyone still working on entries?
  25. Very nice. Though not much a fan of a 3 wheeled coach. I think you pulled it off well.
