DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sure the Batcave must include Catwoman, Robin, Batman, and Alfred in it. It only makes sense. But it also sadly makes sense if they cheat Alfred out with Joker or if Catwoman took is place. Speculation about the Cycle Chase is pretty good for guessing. Do you think that DC Girls will affect this? Thinking about it, females that make sense with motorcycles are Black Canary, Huntress, or Batgirl. And obviously nothing sells without Batman too. Could this perhaps be a set up for the set? (Just my guesses.) I'm glad we don't get to see the BvS set names. Just in case of spoilers. Hopefully this doesn't mean we won't get a Batcave set for that. I really liked the look of the BvS Batcave.- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

I hate to be that guy... I tend to be that guy anyways so it's normal. I don't like the racers idea. Could just be me, I like the idea of vs sets. Seems like we missed something that would have proven useful. That may just be me, I guess I'll wait until the pictures.- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just2Good works in mysterious ways... Don't be looking too far into this. Anyways, I'm excited for these sets *rubs hands* those rumored battlepacks will be nice for me and my wallet. I hope there's a BvS D2C set, but I really wish we get a comic based D2C set instead.- 8,446 replies

Thanks! And I actually haven't! I guess I missed it! I think I've heard name drops of Croc in the game. Shame I missed that! Thanks haha! It's naturally going to have to have been an increased price! My concept was just a small set. Your complaint is valid but I tried making it a good variant. This was based off of a more 'realistic' rendition. Batman wouldn't take the time to get into a Scuba Suit. Like BTAS. I tried! Maybe I should've added a cape instead of the airtank? In BTAS he just had the mask which worked like magic!

Thank you! Thanks! I can't help but agree. I do own a good amount of the first Hobbit wave.

Thank you! This is what I was going for (a LEGO set.) Nice to see I did that well! It's also the sturdiest thing. I had dropped it quite a few times and only the wall fell off! Thanks, but the goal of this or in my mind was to be a $12 set. I do however have some ideas on expanding it, as for now I don't want it to be too crowded but your suggestions are duly noted. Thank you very much!

Doctor Strange vs Baron Mordo If you happen to follow in any particular order of when I post my topics. You realize I sort-of mention this MOC/set in there. Well, I can say this had a much different process than the other. Small sets are always what I can relate to and have a blast with building. They're just the cheapest sets with great figs and a decent build guaranteed! My collection is made up of an overwhelming number of $12 sets, so no dissing them here. One day, I said. "It'd be really cool to be a LEGO set designer." So, I decided to take action. Although the job may seem far-fetched now. Who knows? With all this practice I could possibly be good! As I said earlier though, this process of making this was a lot different. I've been studying LEGO sets for a few days now, so I guess you could call me an expert. (Kidding, please don't.) Anyways, I decided the best place to put my sets were on Brickimedia. With that pre-determined. I had my studies in my mind! The first thing I thought of for $12 sets are functions. There's always one function in these sets that is a seller. LEGO sets, especially licensed sets have to have something. And since I decided to make a Doctor Strange set, it has to be something that'd happen from magic. So, the good old, turn the handle and the plate flies off technique! The set was fairly simple to make once I got the function working. My main problem with it is the brown curved slopes. I wanted some detail alongside the rather blank wall that explodes. Something... Strange. It could've gone better. But this was my first try. Another fun thing, I had just gotten an Ant-Man set. Let's be realistic, this probably won't show up in this small of a set too often. (Although it has.) I decided to add in a Super Jumper. I feel like these add ons with the functions and Super Jumper are really what can divide this from a MOC into perhaps a set. Though I've seen some pretty cool MOCs with functions. Anyways, just as I have done with my Killer Croc set, I want to hear some opinions! Here's the link: http://customs.brick..._vs_Baron_Mordo Any other comments, opinions, criticisms, or suggestions would be well appreciated. I'm always looking for room to improve!

Killer Croc Shipwreck Ambush! Hello! Today I will be presenting a custom MOC/set. I made this for Brickimedia so feel free to check out the detailed article! This MOC/set was made out of the most unusual idea of mine. I had made a MOC/set before for Brickimedia but it was much smaller. My sketch for this was to be a small set. So, how any dedicated designer works I decided to sit down and play videogames. While I am still gaining my way to getting Arkham City to 100% (A game I wish I devoted more time for.) I was looking around at the scenery just planning out how buildings would look like in Gotham for a potential MOC. (I'm quite the guy for my rooftop builds.) Then I landed on a boat. The most uninteresting pieces of scenery. I kinda studied them and decided, why not try this? That was exactly what my idea was to do. I built the boat and then looked back at my sketch. Since this isn't something the community of Eurobricks knows, recently I've decided I want to at least try to see if I could make it as a LEGO set designer. So I said, why not try now? It's a foolish move not to explain this in my first set I built that is probably much more deserving of this but I guess I can fit it into both. Anyways, back to me looking at my sketch. I told myself that I can't be a LEGO set designer if I am only comfortable making small sets and calling it good. after hours of slaving away I had finally come up with this! I've posted it to it's home domain, Brickimedia and have gotten feedback. But I decided to go here for some more opinions on it. To have your opinions you might want to see the set in it's prime spot of detail and more elaboration on what I only just slightly pushed on. Here's a link: http://customs.brickimedia.org/wiki/Killer_Croc_Shipwreck_Ambush So, how do you like it? How could it be fixed? Any ideas on what I need improving on? All of this would be very appreciated!

2016 action theme?
adotnamedstud replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Battle Bugs or Battle Bots too. Who knows what this could be. The PT also might be promotional. -
The Prisons are exciting news. Also very interested in the Ferry set. I thought it was just a Ferry though. Slightly disappointed if there's a drop in quality of that set. A Ferry alone would sell!

2016 action theme?
adotnamedstud replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Unsure what this could mean. Trying to match BB with things. I've got Batman Beyond (VERY unlikely. Just wanted to add that.), Boulder Blasters, BB Code? (Makes sense with a lack of a few sets.), or Battle something? Or something Battles. -
DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
More lackluster! Slightly disappointed in just three sets. But I have reason to believe it's likely going to have more sets. Marvel and DC's sets seem lacking 2016 so far. Hoping for the best, and hoping for it not to be because of the Dimensions push.- 8,446 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hope this list is incomplete. Seems very lackluster. Especially for an evergreened theme. The interesting one here is the Juniors set. Maybe we'll see some Golden Age designs. -
Agreed! I'd love them for my stories!

Robot SWAT minifigures from The LEGO Movie. (Quite a not-rare figure, so parts should be cheap on BL.)
-
Just an updated AoU/SHIELD Captain America. If you wanted some more detail.
-
Nice! I wouldn't mind to see this a bit beefed up however. An update would be great with some modifications!

Being a somewhat anti-social Star Wars fan. (Liscensed is where I hang out.) Episode V was always a personal favorite! It seems to be a general consensus that V was the best. One of the best things as a kid was to see the Snowspeeders. I always liked them a bit more than X-Wings. That being said, this is one of the best Snowspeeder MOCs I have ever seen! Hats off to you and your incredibly detailed and elegant build! Keen on seeing more from you in the future as well!

[MOC][WIP] Batman v Superman: Batmobile
adotnamedstud replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
After a trip to take photos, I shared some with personal friends and they said the BvS Batmobile was black... But, here it is anyways. I guess my next project will be making it black? My only gripe with this is the windscreen/cockpit. I did what I could but I still really would've liked the BvS opening effect. And the fact that the windscreen kinda makes it look like Chibli. Anyways, here are some shots and the link for the rest are on the bottom. (More photos/angles here: http://imgur.com/3Mv7iUW&IgnndcF&3vMv2qD&IpjBmu5&TmrMaOr ) -
[MOC][WIP] Batman v Superman: Batmobile
adotnamedstud replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks! :) I guess this will serve as an update too. The colors are dark grey and bley. It IS complete. Some components just need adjustments as in colors and such. At the start, I did build a working windscreen that opens. But the cowl got in the way, it however did work for a regular minifigure head which is what got me very annoyed. So the windscreen is an X-Wing one. I am/should work on covering up that back piece of the engine better too since the wings reveal it. Other than that it's done and as correct as I possibly good make it. It should be up some time today! -
[MOC][WIP] Batman v Superman: Batmobile

Thanks! -
This all started as one big funny story. My day so far has been filled with attempting to make the perfect Batmobile. Throughout the ideas and the inevitable trial and error with chassis issues, length issues, width issues, the fact/question IF Batman will fit in, and topped with the color issues. (Note, Batman works in black... And sometimes very, very, dark grey. But it turns out bley can be in the mix!) I made tanks, snowmobiles, cars, buggies, etc. All my ideas for the perfect Batmobile kinda went down the toilet. So I took a break intending to get back to the project months later. But due to my dumb acts of stupidity which can very much turn out into genius struck me. I really didn't like LEGO's Batman v Superman Batmobile. So I scrambled around my bins, floors, and failed sorting attempts to build this Batmobile. Filling my obviously already messy desk as you will see. The Batmobile as of July 5th is still a work in progress but it'll probably be done by the 6th or 7th depending on how hard I try without screwing up. Without further ado here's my cluttered desk featuring my WIP Batmobile! In being the biggest perfectionist as possible. I've already altered the rear design two or three times while writing this post. But yeah, all my gripes with LEGO's Batmobile will possibly become my own. In doing this act of sheer madness, I realize some aesthetics of the film's vehicle are just sometimes mathematically impossible due to scale. But once/if I finish this and find ways to say, cover the wheels. I'd totally bust this out and fix it just to then post it back here. Because I really do want the best BvS Batmobile in LEGO. (No matter how greedy that makes me sound at least it's got me doing something this summer. ) C&C very welcome too!
