  1. I'm just going to comment something huge. I missed a ton of the discussion. First off, really don't like the Batmobile. But I like the BvS version. It's a great car visually, but it's obviously a pain to make in LEGO. Especially when making a set with two vehicles, dividing equal attention to both is impossible with toys especially with iconic vehicles. So as far as I know, it could just be a truck or some glider. Who knows! That being said, I think the best possible route for LEGO would've been putting a better version in a larger set? And this movie... It's not getting three sets. If you bank on a historic movie crossing two (and more) of the most iconic heroes that are household brands because you just know they exist and you already like them. It's been done with Avengers, that movie got plenty sets. But those weren't Class A heroes. Don't get me wrong I love Marvel and DC, but DC just has more iconic characters. The tone has nothing to do with it. The Dark Knight was dark and LEGO still is banking on TDK merchandise. With the newest VIP exclusive Batpod. Anyways, we're getting lots of sets, if not Age of Ultron count maybe a little more or maybe a little less. But it seems like a full wave. So, good. The talk of the BvS movies is good talk. Wayne Manor seems to be a pivotal motif or motivation for Bruce Wayne. (Entertainment Weekly talks a ton about Wayne Manor. It's pretty public...) We'll probably get the Batwing, seems obvious. We're getting a Batcave. LEGO loves tech in sets, well this Batcave is supposed to be the leader in all that tech. Lex Luthor's character will be explored as we see a picture of him with hair and then he's bald in another promo. So we will likely see him with a Lexcorp set. Who knows what that entails, just speculation based on public knowledge and no spoilers. Aquaman is also obviously showing up. Any character up to this point that has had an official photo reveal is going to be in sets. I'm sure I covered all my wholeheartedly opinionated points based on things we clearly know and nothing speculative from movie sites. That's probably your worst source unless there's photo evidence or proof of being on set. (Like the Entertainment Weekly article.)
  2. Well, there goes my chance! This is absolutely fantastic however! Great job!
  3. Love the details! Looks like an intense fight too! Great work!
  4. Category B entry: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111501
  5. In the quiet nights of Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil is chasing Bullseye. Yet, something unlikely happens. On the roof of a fairly damaged building Boba Fett flies up and aids Bullseye. Daredevil must make a choice, fight or die! Two assassins versus one hero? Uh oh. Hope Daredevil has a Sarlacc hanging around! This build got rejected... Three times. I hopefully found a balance between experimenting with my rooftop scenes and staying cozy with one building. If you can see it, you can make out Foggy Nelson in his apartment below the build. My only regret on that is that I wish I furnished it more than a shelf. But it was fairly confined so, I did what I could with what I had. The background buildings were not much but I tried making some interesting looking buildings along with small beaten up buildings. With the contrast of colors too. So hopefully that worked. And the birds! Those were a last minute decision but I'm glad I didn't leave them out! Bullseye's building I think I executed well. My idea for Fett's was to be a bit more torn up but I don't mind what I had as I was very strict on the building limit (which I thought was smaller than the 64x64 or 62x62 this contest actually had!) Daredevil's building. I liked what I did on the bottom. I wish I added some patio doors to it though. And the swords were supposed to be vines. But whatever I actually really liked how this turned out! There's another angle. I'm pretty proud of my entries and wish other entrants luck with any last minute builds, it's been a pleasure being a part of this contest! Thanks for reading, C&C very welcome! -NuffSaid1996
  6. Hah, I guess so! Thanks, that was the hardest part! I'm considering redoing this though. After I fix/post my Cat. B entry.
  7. There are so many opinions I have on this set, all I can say is that new tile is nice. The one with shameless bat-logo on it. I think that's new. And I like it!
  8. A friend of mine used it for Cyborg. It'd be cool for a Red Tornado fig. It might also work for a Vibe.
  9. Really nice entry! Ock doesn't seem to like Jedi! The floor is astounding by the way!
  10. Ahh! The nostalgia of Episode II! Great work capturing the scene of Kamino, love the build!
  11. Very creative entry! The title scared me because I thought it was the same team I have planned!
  12. Thanks greatly! The walls seem kinda bland to me though (but that's the disadvantage of harsh self critique.) Thanks for the compliment on the fig too! I've got another DD build for this contest that'll hopefully blow this out of the water!
  13. Great job! Interested in the wall technique. Only two points of connection and it stays that sturdy? Awesome!
  14. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111362#entry2255761 My Category A entry!
  15. Inside the Death Star, a shadow lurked around the halls. Only a myth to some but there was something to it. Random injuries, mostly due to a small 'explosion' involving a pipe shooting at troopers and officers. People didn't know the real cause was someone seeking justice... Anyways, here's my build will a small explanation of the scene's context. Although this isn't my favorite build of mine, the hatches were a pain so I guess I challenged myself. I am a fan of Daredevil, ever since the show came out I am now the proud owner of many Daredevil comics and love his lore. One of my favorite parts of the character and the show was Daredevil using his billy clubs as a ranged weapon. So I incorporated that here with the gold hand serving as a ricochet effect. Here's a close up of the action shot. Thanks for looking! (Both photos are exactly 800x600)((According to Imgur))
  16. Why a spoiler tag? Is the bane of your existence dependent on SDCC exclusives?
  17. Meh, not that bad. Makes sense to have Arsenal be the exclusive. Kinda saddened by that though, he's my favorite character on Arrow!
  18. Bat-Gordon seems too bold. Convergence Superman makes the most sense. And it would be a fantastic fig!
  19. That was filled by TLM and The Hobbit. I can't think of anything else that would be exclusive this year other than Superheroes.
  20. Likely a male and female. But I believe DC has been only males? Yep. I'm betting CW based too. White Canary would be bold but I can see them graze by with it.
  21. I'll hate myself if I'm right. I'm hoping just one more character will be exclusive but I have a good idea who the hero will be. It was the hero destined for greatness... Spider-Gwen. She's pretty famous so I can't see why not. It's at a con too so LEGO would have a ton of demand for her.
  22. I know it stinks, especially for a lack of diversity of heroes in the sets, so Sam Cap would've been nice in a set indeed. Even if it was an AA set. Old fart Rogers would be great for an SDCC fig. Especially since his outfit could be reused in AA sets.
  23. What an immense update to the set! Great work!
  24. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2015/06/19/lego-captain-america-comic-con-figure-exclusive/28970089/ No!
  25. I bet they'll pull a TMNT. Have some goons and a baddie in a set with the Batwing. It makes sense, and I want to see LEGO shipping containers! Haha!
