  1. Great review Bricks! It's not a great set in my opinion. The Venator is too small in comparison with his length. To be honest, I haven't seen the Clone Wars movie, so I don't know how it looks like in CW.
  2. I would like to see a general Space month, but never a Space Police III month. It's not a very good subtheme. SP I and II were much better. I would like to see a Western month.
  3. -6244 Armada Sentry -6273 Rock Island Refuge -6274 Caribbean Clipper -6276 Eldorado Fortress -6277 Imperial Trading Post -6280 Armada Flagship This "small" list has the priority. European versions (shooting cannons) of course. All other sets are welcome, but the 2009 sets only as parts packs.
  4. Very interesting topic legotrainfan! About Railbricks: there is not only an instruction in every number of the magazine, but there are also downloadable instructions at the site: here you can see them. I think they are very useful, not only to build the trains, but also for the building techniques, SNOT windows and inspiration. One member had posted MLCad files of ballast, so you can make your track more realistic. I don't have build a train MOC from instructions yet, but maybe I will do it in the future. I am trying to build a Dutch train in MLCad, and maybe in real. When it's finished, I also gonna make some instructions, I think. @TheBrickster & legotrainfan: James Mathis has also made instructions of the German train you posted. You can download it here (the 4th from above).
  5. This sounds more like Greeks to me.
  6. I think Playmobil came first. However both LEGO and Playmobil have released rafts like these before.
  7. Well, it's still possible TLG changes their Castle line and release a non-fantasy faction as the Crownies' opponents. Looking back the past years, I also expected a fantasy opponent for the pirates. If we have to believe the pictures of the game are signs (wich I think is very unlikely) then it's a good possibility that they will be the opponent of the Romans.
  8. How about Greeks (without fantasy)?
  9. That surprises me. They appeared in one set only.
  10. I don't like another license. I hoped TLC would release less licensed sets. I'm afraid the new sets will have a high Megabloks feeling.
  11. Didn't Alexander fought against India? I suppose India had elephants too. I would love to see a phalanx.
  12. This is a difficult one. Playmobil already released a Romans theme, and that theme has some great set ideas. But I really would like to see some Greek sets. Not with fantasy, and then it will be difficult for the fantasy-loving LEGO company to create a whole Greek theme. I think it's better to release a small theme of few well designed sets than a big theme with lots of poorly designed sets. If they release a well-designed trireme, I would certainly buy it, even if there's no other Greek set but a whole Roman theme. I voted Greeks/Spartans.
  13. But then it wouldn't be a "Vintage" collection. For me this is the most interesting collection until now. The Classic Space fig still has a modern helmet, and the bluecoat needs a backpack, but at least you won't get new gray with this one.
  14. I agree with Klaus-Dieter about the king. He arrived too late. And I don't think of kings if I think of the middle ages. Most of the territories were ruled by counts, dukes, (robber) barons, bisshops... For me, when I think of Castle, I think of (mounted) knights with the helmet and seperate visor, in the Crusader sets.
  15. Your speciality is planes, and now you built a tank like you are building tanks for decades! I have a wish to build a T-34 once, but I doubt it will be as great as this one. Nice how you added figs to it.
  16. I'm not sure what you mean. -Do you mean the pin on top of it? -Or the four little things at the front and the back? In the first case, it's almost useless for your intentions to use it, like mentioned before. In the second case, you can still use the motor, the only downside is if you want to buld something at the front or the back of the motor, it will be less sturdy, and may need another connection on top of the motor, for example in this case.
  17. I voted no. Because of priorities. I have some sets that I really want (for example the complete Western theme). I also have ideas for MOCs, some of them quite big, and a lay-out. For these things I have to order and collect a lot of pieces. Somethimes between these purchases I buy some sets that are useful for armybuilding, but only one or two. It would help if a Snowtrooper Battle Pack was available in the shops, though. Maybe if I'm done with collecting and my lay-out I start building a big huge Imperial army, that will wipe all of your armies out and conquer the whole galaxy!
  18. Don't mess with the Tusken Raiders! It looks very funny. I really had to laugh when I saw this. Did you mixed new gray with old gray for the mountain? It looks really natural.
  19. Nice review. I'm not sure about this set. It looks nice, but I've expected at least an AT-ST Pilot. We don't need Wookie scum in our Imperial vehicles!
  20. How is this possible? I thought the Playmobil Western theme was discontinued for years? And I never saw them back in the stores... Or is this a sort of US only set? I've got a new idea: a small fortress for the confederation. The Union soldiers of Fort LEGOREDO need someone to fight a civil war with.
  21. Looks very nice, especially the legs!
  22. I voted for BNSF. The Super Chief looks great, but is too specific. You can't really use it for something else than the Santa Fe cars. The BNSF can be used for many different cargo trains. It was a close one, however.
  23. I think he means Wild West. I don't see a new Greek/Spartan theme to be released. I would like to see it, though. But if it's gonna be released, don't include fantasy please.
  24. The Fokker and Sopwith were sculptures. These sets were more about the plane itself. But there is already a flying wing, so the tank shouldn't be a problem. I think he means a yacht as an exclusive, like 10193, 10194 and numbers like that. It would be 1020- I think, with the new exclusives. I would like to see a yacht. It's a long time we saw a yacht, and if there will be a holiday-line it's really plausible that we will see a yacht. Let's hope the hull is brick-built. I don't really like the Curver/Tupperware hulls LEGO use nowadays.
  25. I now realize a Greek theme wouldn't be realistic in 2011 if Western should be re-released in 2010. Would like to see it, though. A trireme, a Trojan horse...
