  1. Not exactly. In the same link from the newer one, you can see they were introduced in 1991 already.
  2. For an entry just for fun, it's really great. If you haven't said it, I wouldn't have noticed. Can the doors be opened?
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks! Nice to have another Lowlugger around here!
  4. Wow, this looks great! You added the 1930s style very well.
  5. How many do you own and how many do you want? I think one motor is enough, but it also depends how many cars you want to use. And like simonwillems mentioned, it also depends how heavy the engine is.
  6. Wow, that's a pretty long haul. How many motors have you fit in it? Maybe the new couplers are a solution, you can reinforce them with 1 x 2 tiles (but I think you knew that already ).
  7. The size of your cars is important. Are they 6-wide two-axle cars as seen in this set, or are they big 8-wide full length cars like you see here? If they are big ones, a second motor could be important and maybe neccesary.
  8. They want to keep everybody in confusion, so it's easier to keep us under control.
  9. Clever how you were able to add steering in 6-wide. It fits perfectly with the official sets.
  10. That looks very detailed. Great job! But... wasn't this built before the contest? I have the building instructions on my PC a few months now...
  11. Well, it's already mentioned there was a Batman UCS set also. And why should they name it UCS? There are a lot big detailed models without 'ucs' on the box (Model Team, Sculptures, VW Beetle). I think a zeppelin is a great idea. A support stand is neccesary if you want to display it. But if it looks great, and there are enough pieces (not an one piece balloon) there's one more potentional buyer.

    Lego logos

These two oil companies have the same color scheme: But I have to agree with BlueBard. I think they were inspired by logos of official companies, but not a particular one.
  13. I'm planning a layout and when it's finished, most likely I'm gonna play with it. But many things are changed. I have a job now, I can buy LEGO much easier. A set like 8880 was too expensive when I was a kid. When I was a teenager it was discontinued and I never thought about buying a new one online (in fact, if you buy a set like that, who wouldn't build it) but two years ago I finally got one. Also the way of building is changed. I only have built one MOC since my dark age, but sometimes I design creations with MLCad. Now I use S.N.O.T. and want to make a nice smooth finish. Dimensions and details are more important.
  14. To me it isn't necessary. Bluebrick is a layout designer in the first place, and people don't need minifigs to design a layout. But if you have time: why not?
  15. Well, in that case: BSB. More realistic, and I will never sell it.
  16. What I like the most are the colours. They look like the TGV.
  17. Congratulations KDog!
  18. With Exploriens, new space helmets were released. And before that, with Ice Planet 2002 there were already different visors. I think the time what you called are the golden ages of space, but I don't count them as classic space.
  19. The SES isn't a real schooner. The sails of a schooner are placed in the length of the ship. If I couls save one ship, it would be SES..... because I already own a BSB. The latter is the best.
  20. 1. A brick-built Monorail system, as I mentioned here; 2. Pleasure Cruiser, as mentioned by Klaus-Dieter (great idea ); 3. A big Formula 1 circuit. If it will be expensive, maybe only with race bikes like MotoGP, and seperate sets with Formula 1, WTCC or DTM cars.
  21. It seems there is an error with that part. The pattern itself is shown, but the parts beneath the slope are visible. I think the best way is to add the non-patterned slope seperately.
  22. I have found the printed slope. It can be found in the unofficial parts: 3041p01.dat
  23. I can't wait to see it. There is one thing I want to say though: I've seen your renders in your Brickshelf folder, and you used the wrong parts for the headlights. I can imagine the printed slopes are not available, but what I mean is that you used this: instead of this: Maybe I'm wrong, and it's not a big issue, but I want you to know it. At least they are great renders, better than I ever will do.
  24. I hope this and this will help. A conventional motor, gears and a 9V System battery box. It's not clear to me which motor he used, but I'm almost certain something similar can be built with Power Functions: one medium motor and the rechargeable battery as power supply.
  25. I partly agree with you. I think the "golden age" for the space theme was Futuron till Exploriens. But I don't think everything slided down after Space Police II. I think it happened after Exploriens (Spyrius is one of my favourites). For the rest I think the same. I think Space Police III should be renamed, it doesn't deserve that name in comparison to SP 1 & 2.
