  1. I like Alpha Team more than Agents. But only the original sets, not Arctic or Mission Deep Sea. I have to say I don't have an Alpha Team set yet, and will not get an Agents one (unless for a very great price) so I can't compare them. By the way, Ogel is the best villain TLG has ever made. :pir-skull:
  2. I think the Stig was a joke indeed. The Stig was discovered some months ago, wasn't he? However, it could be possible there are some different drivers, who play The Stig in turns. We may never discover the truth. Some say, he pisses petrol. Or he comes from Mars. All we know is, he's called the Stig!
  3. Not exactly a set. But I have the Collector not a year and it's already outdated. So I would like to see a ring binder collector (I hope I translate it correct). Size of the papers maybe A3. It's easy to extend it with yearly updates, and it's also possible to edit older sets (for example if there is not yet a picture added). It could be cheap and there is at least one potential buyer.
  4. A list of possible Duckburg-related sets: -Scrooge McDuck's money bin and Killmotor Hill. With Uncle Scrooge, his secretary (don't know the English name, in Dutch she is called Eugenia), one or two guards, and Magica De Spell; -Gyro Gearloose's workshop. With Gyro, his little helper, his flying car and some other creations; -Donald Duck's and Neighbor Jones' houses. It includes the car of Donald. With Donald and Neighbor Jones; -Police office or a prison. With a police car, some officers, at least three Beagle Boys, and maybe one or two spies from Brutopia; -the headquarters of the Junior Woodchucks. With Huey, Dewey, and Louie, a scoutmaster and their dog; -the farm of Grandma Duck. With Grandma and Gus Goose; -the statue of Cornelius Coot. It includes a sports car Gladstone Gander just has won. With Gladstone Gander and Daisy Duck.
  5. Great review. I always wanted a train, and watched many times to a picture of 4558 in the catalog. I thought it was white, untill I saw it when I visited my friend. By the time my parents would give me a train for my birthday, 4558 was discontinued and I thought 4559 was a really cool train (possibly because of the high-speed looking). However, later I wanted something better. When the re-release was available, I didn't bought it, but last year, I finally got one. And now the 10002 club car also. I paid around 190 euro for a MISB one. And now I've got the 10002 club car also. I agree with your comments. It's a shame that a patterned piece has been replaced with a stickered one. However, I voted for Train-tacular, because the advantages are just too great to vote anything lower than that.
  6. Duckburg related sets. Most of all Scrooge McDuck's money bin.
  7. Eeh, yes, you have a point there. I change my words in "less unrealistic"...
  8. I also watch The Simpsons when I can. But I don't want to see them in LEGO. Not because it is cartoonish (Spongebob is also popular, isn't it?) but there are too many licensed themes already. One or two (or none) licensed themes are enough.
  9. Great review. I agree with your comments. As soon as I saw one MISB for a reasonable price, I bought it. There was one black 1 x 2 brick missing, but I had enough spare ones.
  10. I don't want fantasy stuff. Castle could be a great theme, if TLG pays more attention at details and historical accurate buildings instead of dragons and other ugly creatures. The Fantasy part should be scrapped, instead of adding another fantasy faction.
  11. Too many stickers. I wonder why they use so many stickers what bricks also could do.
  12. Znap looks more original than the bricks of Knex.
  13. This is difficult. It depends on the use of it. For historically correct MOCs, it will be flesh minifigs. For the rest yellow ones, see the post of Rick above.
  14. I voted for own sets. I think TLG already released too many licensed themes. LEGO don't need to be another way to promote movies and bad TV series, next to action figures and other toys with the same theme. If TLG keeps on that way it will lose her unique looks. If there are less licensed sets, there will be more space for (sub)themes TLG designed herself. Licensed themes are a sign to me that TLG can't or don't want to design something by herself.
  15. I mostly buy sets I wanted as a kid, sets that are discontinued, and don't use the parts for MOCs. For most of the MOCs I buy pieces from Bricklink. I have plans to sort all the pieces I already own, so I get a better view at what I have, and what is available (not used at the moment), so I don't need to order every part of a new MOC.
  16. This looks great! I like the design of the pantograph and how you use that stretcher holder.
  17. What I think LEGO will release: -extra cars for the Emerald Night; -a cheaper high-speed passenger train, like the RC ICE set, but with PF; -a big freight train set -a train station What I would like to see: -a rack railway; -more steam engines like the Emerald Night; -seperate sold cars and engines; -older electric engines; -a roundhouse with turntable. Although I think this will be expensive and difficult if you want to add it in a lay-out (because of the pit). I think this folder shows great ideas too.
  18. Congratulations!
  19. I totally agree with you! That sounds awesome, especially if it's historically accurate. Would love to see a trireme in minifig-scale.
  20. Maybe you get an imagination here.
  21. Nice review. This is one of the sets I always dreamed of as a kid.
  22. I have to disagree with you. I do think a historically accurate theme will sell. I know people, who still had bought sets if TLC kept releasing non-fantasy sets. And the fantasy part is also the reason why I haven't bought the new Castle sets. Only the Knight Impulse set, and maybe I'm gonna buy the Knights Battle Pack and Medieval Market Village, but there is not a single skeleton or troll included in these sets. Why not seperate the fantasy part? As you describe it, about the roman boat, I will only buy it if there's no fantasy in it. A seperate sold sea monster would be a solution, you can add it to the roman boat if you want. Maybe add some extra pieces, and make it possible to create your own monster, if that's what you like. I think LEGO has already gone too far, and should get back to his roots.
  23. -An arena, a battle chariot, some gladiators, -a fortress, a ballista and legionairs, a Roman villa, aquaducts.
  24. That sounds like a great idea to me. There has already been released an UCS Imperial Star Destroyer, and the Venator will be smaller at the same scale. I have to say the Venator (the ship, not the LEGO set) looks more interesting than the ISD in my opinion. Although the ISD looks awesome, the Venator looks less boring.
