  1. Star Wars is number one, but only for the sets from the films. The Clone Wars sets and Expanded Universe sets are junk IMHO. If I had the figures, Avatar would be amongst my avourite themes. But more for building. It's a theme with many possibilities, but TLG never used them. Instead, they only released two sets, which were only released in northern America. I voted for Spider-Man. The sets are recognizable and well designed.
  2. I would like to see a fireship, as seen in Episode III.
  3. I totally agree with you. I'm afraid the end of the Pirates theme has something to do with the same: a Pirates of the Caribbean-license.
  4. I think it's Green Grocer for me. -Town Plan isn't a modular building set. Even if it is, it's maybe a great set, but too many stickers and too small buildings; -Market Street is smaller than the rest (only half the width); -Café Corner lacks an interior. Then the two remained sets. It's difficult, I don't own them, neither do I own any of the three sets mentioned before. But to me Green Grocer looks more detailed, with more advanced building techniques. Fire Brigade looks it's built more the traditional way. I say it again: I don't own any of the sets, so I can be wrong about building techniques.
  5. What I mostly like about this: it looks like it fits right into classic town sets from the '80s. Great entry Klaus-Dieter!
  6. It's not as good as the original line, but can be if TLG give it the chance. Signed.
  7. Maybe the crane is supposed to be one of the things Yoda and Dooku threw with the Force. Or the thing that almost crushed Anakin and Obi-Wan. Nice review!
  8. I have a list, cause it's impossible for me to choose just a top three, let alone one set. 4483 AT-AT: blast rebel scum into the oblivion. Comes with a speeder bike. Looks closer to the original than the motorized version does. No stickers 4504 Millennium Falcon: the best version of this classic ship. More details than the first version, but more practical and less expensive than the 2007 one. 6207 A-wing Fighter: nice, smooth, cheap. 6208 B-wing Fighter: nice, smooth, unusual design. 6209 Slave I: perfect to hunt smugglers. Better than the previous designs. No stickers 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer: nice interior, nice figs. Not deformed like this years Venator. 7259 ARC-170 Starfighter: more interesting design than a X-wing. Comes with four minifigs. And that for a fighter. No stickers. 7261 Clone Turbo Tank: nice minifigs, a BARC speeder, a laser turret. No stickers. 7658 Y-Wing Fighter: detailed, much closer to the original than the previous versions. The bare look is nice. No stickers. 10134 Y-wing Attack Starfighter: detailed, the bare look is nice. 10179 Ultimate Millennium Falcon: minifig-scale, nice minifigs included, lots of details. 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker: carrier vehicle (always great). I don't like the AT-OT, but that's why the dropship is able to carry 7675 AT-TE Walker as well. 10198 Tantive IV: great minifigs, great ship. No stickers.
  9. I think he means an UT-AT, and that doesn't sound bad to me. A new vehicle, a new Jedi, and the marines can easily be made with Snowtroopers helmets, only different colours. Maybe a good idea to add commander Bacara too.
  10. I have this set, and it is one of my favourites. It's a really beautiful ship. The hull is only six studs wide, but the ship looks quite large, not just a regular patrol boat. Maybe the best ship with a six-wide hull ever released. I've spend a lot of time playing with this one, and I still have regret to have lost the stickers. Four years later Hurricane Harbor was released, and that set includes a printed tile 1 x 2 with Coast Guard print. So there is a printed version.
  11. Oops, I missed that.
  12. I think Res-Q fits very well. X-Treme Team can be a nice addition too. The Creator modular houses (Café Corner, Green Grocer, Market Street and Fire Brigade) are perfect, while the other houses may need some modifications. Batman and Spider-man can also be added, since the movies the sets are based on were located in cities. It depends of course what you want. Do you want a city invaded by aliens, you can add Space. Almost everything is possible, especially if you modify sets (think about a Black Seas Barracuda full with tourists, an entrance and a souvenirs shop. If I add a theme, it will be Creator.
  13. With these, you mean the track layout? The terminals and supports are already available in Bluebrick.
  14. It's great indeed, how he combines the two. I don't like how he modifies LEGO, but his landscaping is awesome. About H0: that's scale 1:87, Minifig scale is around twice the size, so for trees and buildings it isn't an option. But a combination of LEGO for the trains, track, buildings and vehicles, and a non-LEGO landscape sounds very interesting.
  15. It depends. I would like to see military sets, maybe United Nations if TLG want as less violence as possible. If I was a parent I would prefer that kind of toys for my children instead of unreal themes like Agents, Exo Force, Bionicle. Sometimes I don't get the non-violence strategy of TLG, if I look to those themes.
  16. Welcome to EB. Here another one who keeps his sets original.
  17. I'm afraid the Toy Story line will last longer than a year, and so delay an eventual Wild West theme. I hope you're right, since I don't like the Megabloks-style Toy Story theme and prefer Western sets designed by TLG instead of scenes designed by Pixar (I don't even count this as Disney).
  18. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  19. Welcome to EB!
  20. 1. 4554 Metro Station - 1991 - 2. 2150 Train Station - 1996 - I prefer the colours of the 1991 one. 3. 7997 Train Station - 2007 - Best station in years, but not as good as no. 1 and 2.
  21. I think there was a Swiss version of this set too, but with another number (I think it was 1589).
  22. Nice to see how even minifig-scale vehicles can be so detailed.
  23. Hello Paul. Welcome to Eurobricks! Recently I discovered the SeTechnic site, and now it's one of my favourite sites. I like the detailed reviews. Only if Google Translate worked properly... Oh, and your English doesn't sound bad to me. I think it's better than mine.
  24. I think you're right here about wrong inventories. For instance I have this set a long time, and I remember it included the newer ones. Maybe some sets got the old ones, while others the new ones.
  25. I think this is from a member of LowLUG, who only uses pieces that were available in the blue era. It's not my favourite style of layout, but it has it's charm. For example look to the trains: they look like a retro blue era style Santa Fe Super Chief and a 7740 intercity.
