In fact, known scummo Russell voted for Ace to make it 6 votes - they only needed one more person to be convinced in order to lynch someone we now know (and they knew all along) was a townie.     On the subject of Eric, I asked him why he thought Wanda was scummy in the face of things like facts, and he said: I dropped the issue, but Eric strikes me as a scummo trying to appear consistent in his or her behavior. And there was the issue of him and Irene voting for Sarah one after the other. And now he's come out with this: Options 2-4 are pretty bogus. It's just dumb to think the scum can't kill because their killer died. I'm not happy with Eric. Vote: Eric (Palathadric)

    It's late, so I'm going to bed, but I've noticed the new rule so I'm here to express my joy that Irene was a scummo! I knew there was something fishy about the "you couldn't possibly investigate me as scum".

    Al said the cop had investigated you as scum. We've determined that is a lie, but why didn't you say anything when you "knew" it was untrue that you had been investigated as scum? If a townie is investigated as scum, the most likely reason is that a framer is involved (or he is a miller). But you didn't say anything then. I know if someone investigated me as scum I'd be all over the "it must be a framer" or "the cop is unreliable" rather than clamming up and accusing the messenger of lying. And now you've got a cock-and-bull story about a watcher and a redirector. To be honest, it seems simpler that you were seen actually targeting Shirley and that you are the scum killer. But on to the question of why you knew it was impossible that someone should have investigated you as scum. Are you the godfather?

    Ann, I was surprised when you didn't vote and instead gave 4 reasons not to trust Al. I am also surprised that you swayed so soon when you were given information you should have known already. As Pamela said, Al's tracker claim is uncontested - we have no reason to mistrust him at this point. Were you trying to contrive reasons to mistrust him?

    Yeah, they have been bickering back and forth all day. I wasn't feeling good about Russell, and now we've found Irene is scum so they do look like they're in cahoots. Vote: Irene Allen (mostlytechnic)

    Naively, it looks like Al got hit by the figure who killed Shelley - and took her boxing gloves? I think it's flavour. Brian wrote this, which I looked at again: Is it as though he was trying to avoid voting for Gregory? Even though he also said that "general scumminess" is a good enough reason to vote, which is what we all got on Al's case about later that day? And then when he voted for Al, he said something along the lines of "sneaky little hobbitses sheeped the Gregory vote but, gollum, I didn't vote!"

    That's interesting. I also agree that Brian thinks Al must be lynched despite his role claim just because of time considerations (as far as I can see, there are plenty of hours left in the day). Something about this rubs me the wrong way. Do you mean that, in the face of suspicions of Wanda being poorly grounded, you continue to believe Wanda is scum? Why ? Surely you'd be happy that someone else has seen the things in Sarah that you see (oh la la, si romantique!) Did you and Irene try to coordinate something and mess it up a little bit? "Considering all the lynch candidates there are today, I have to vote for either the claimed watcher (tracker) or the newly appointed Queen of the Lurkers. Wait, who's Brian?     Al is correct that one vote does not a bandwagon make, but I am interested in why he thinks Shelly is "on to something" when Shelly's reason for voting for Gregory was a sense of scumminess. And a sense of scumminess can swing any way on Day One. I'm happy voting for Al since a consensus seems to be building in his direction. Vote: Al Cooper (TinyPiesRUs)

    I think it's weird that Brian accuses Katherine of trying to "split the vote" with the third total vote of the day. "Split the vote" is a phrase that casts lots of suspicion and I don't think it's justified here. But I also think it's weird that Katherine voted for Brian because Brian agrees that Gregory demonstrates "general scumminess".
