  1. Hi Mortil, The latest version can be downloaded from here: SBrickController.apk BR
  2. Hi Lenard, Is the new firmware backward compatible with the old one's protocol (like version 4.8)? If not will you publish the new protocol? Thanks, István
  3. Hi Guys, First of all thanks Sariel for the great video review. I just tested how the app behaves if I send it to background. It keeps the connection to the SBrick but unfortunatelly the app doesn't get the controller actions while in background. So still no videorecording during playback :( At least with the same device.
  4. Hi Limga, To be honest I have no idea why the app is not working on your tablet. I'll try to figure out a way to debug it on your device though. The issue with 'Could not start scanning for SBricks' is a bug and I just fixed it :) To tell the truth I never waited for the scanning process to finish but I always cancel it when it finds my SBrick :)
  5. Hi, Hmm, that's an interesting idea, I haven't thought about it. This kind of operation change on the joys can't be done. However you select multiple controller profiles for playing. Obviously only one profile is active at a time but you can easily switch between them. So eg. on profile-1 joy-A controls the tracks and on profile-2 joy-A controls the boom or whatsoever. And you can switch which one you would like to be active. The iOS version has been put a little bit on hold due to the summer holidays and other reasons, but I'm planning to finish it.
  6. Hi, Yes, you're right, but I never use stickers that's why I put the other plate onto the steering wheel. To be honest I didn't really check what was on it :) Hope that's the only mistake I made.
  7. Hi, Here's my approach for motorizing the Porsche: - Drive: 2 XL motors - Steering: servo - 1 small battery box - SBrick I removed the whole gearbox along with the steering wheel shift mechanism and the fake engine to reduce some weight. The purpose was to make it RC and keep the original look as much as possible. I also did a little modification on the steering wheel mount to have it a bit more realistic. I'm planning to make video too :)
  8. Theoretically no firmware update is needed on the SBrick but without having this controller I'm not 100% sure. There could be compatibility issues and so on...
  9. I think the gamepad support was refering to the phone app, but Lenard will correct me if I'm wrong.
  10. Hi, I just found this one: http://www.dfrobot.com/wiki/index.php/BLE_Wireless_Gamepad_(SKU:DFR0304) It's a programmable BLE gamepad, so with using it there is no need to change the SBrick's firmware. So I suddenly ordered one :)
  11. Hi, Good to hear that the firmware update solved the proportional issue. For the other issue, I just tested my controller and found the same as you that the max output is reached at 1/3-1/2 position of the sticks. I haven't realized it though :) So I tested it with a game controller tester and the result was the same. So a calibration function would not help, it seems to be the nature of this controller :( At least it was cheap.
  12. Customer service just contacted me and turned out my Porsche order wasn't actually cancelled, Lego just ran out of the item that would have been the gift for it. But I don't care about that :)
  13. Just got this from legoshop.com on my porsche order: "The demand for the item(s) listed below has exceeded our expectations and the item(s) are no longer available. We regret to inform you that the order for these item(s) has been cancelled from your order..." :(
  14. I just updated my SBrick to firmware 4.12 and for the first time the app didn't find the SBrick. But after restarting the SBrick it started working. So please try restarting it and maybe the application as well or the phone itself too. If the restarts doesn't help you could also delete the SBrick from the application and do a scanning again. I've read about some changing on the MAC address handling in the new firmwares, maybe this is what caused the issue. Please let me know if it doesn't help and I'll try to investigate it further...
  15. Hmm, I need to look into it. I haven't updated my firmware but I'll do so...
  16. Hi, Yes, and actually the source code has been available here: https://github.com/imurvai/sbrickcontroller /István
  17. It was my first thought when I was reading about the BuWizz :) But without knowing the details and the BT protocol it's hard to promise anything.
  18. Hi, Recently I haven't had time for the development, but after the vacation I'm going to continue. Once there is something to test I'll let you know. Thanks for offering help anyway :)
  19. Cool, I'm glad it's working. In the meantime I started working on the iOS version.
  20. Hi, Android 4.4.2 should not be a problem. I'll try to figure out a fix but can't promise anything without testing on such a device :(
  21. Hi, Does it disconnect during playing or also disconnects even when you don't touch the controller? And how often does it disconnects (approx)?
