  1. In the meantime I found a way to make the iOS beta test version publicly available: BrickController2 0.71 for iOS
  2. Is it BuWizz 2? My BuWizz 1 can give power to the connected SBrick even before connecting to it.
  3. Hi, I'm glad you like it :) The button options (toggle, alter, pingpong, ...) are mainly for operating the servo motors. And yes, I'm planning to create a manual once I have enough time for that.
  4. Hi, BrickController2 0.71 has just been released on the Google Play Store for testing: - Improved device scan (hopefully it'll find the bluetooth devices on nVidia Shield) - Attempt to fix the BuWizz 2 output layout. Also I'm looking for volunteers to test the iOS version. So if you would like to take part in the testing please PM me with your email address and first and last name info. Happy playing! :)
  5. Hi! No BC1 didn't have the live output level setting. Do you have BuWizz 1 or 2? For BW1 the are ok for me. Unfortunately I don't have any BW2 so I can't test that. If you confirm that the port swaping only affects BW2 then I'll fix it in the next release. Rating is disabled most probably because it's still in beta, but I'll release it as final very soon :)
  6. Thanks guys, I'm glad you like the app. I'm gonna try to figure out what the issue might be with the Shield...
  7. Hi, I managed to reproduce the issue and the fix is on its way. The app should be updated automatically when it goes through the Play Store review process... Some teaser for the iOS version:
  8. Oh, got it :) For some reason the bluetooth access needs it, the app doesn't care about your location. More info: Android 6.0 changes "To access the hardware identifiers of nearby external devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scans, your app must now have the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions"
  9. Hmm, that's weird. I experienced such a behavior using one of my BT controllers. If I turn the controller on when the app has already been started then for some reason it jumps back to the creation list page. I'll look into why it could happen... Hi, what do you mean exactly? Even though I haven't created a user guide for BC2 please read this one: BrickController user guide . This is for the BC1 but the main concept is more-or-less the same so could be useful to set up your profiles correctly.
  10. BrickController 2 is finally available on Google Play Store (as beta test at the moment): BrickController2 0.5 Feel free to send me comments. Happy playing! :
  11. Hi, Unfortunately it's a limitation of the PU hub. the outputs can't be set at the same time only one after another. It is much better if you use the analog joysticks since the outputs are set gradually as you push the joys. I hope Lego will fix it in the firmware and also publish the protocol officially :)
  12. BrickController2 0.3 has been released. Changes: - New icon :) - Device port tester can be opened from controller action setup. - Fixed BuWizz output level setting if app goes to background and comes back. - Other fixes. In case no bugs are reported this is the last version before releasing it in the App and Play Store. Happy playing.
  13. BrickController 0.2 has been released. Changes: - Lowered the latency on Android. - Tracked or skid steer vehicle can now be controller using one single joy.
  14. Hi, It's a good news it's working at least :) I also noticed the latency, I'm working on lowering it as much as possible...
  15. Sorry guys, my bad. I left a bug in the released app. Here's the fixed version: BrickController2 0.11
  16. That's weird, BC1 also required location access :) The profiler crash also weird, I'll try to figure out what caused it... This is something I didn't think about :) So the PU hub is supported by the app, the PU controller is not (unless it can be paired with Android as a game controller which I doubt). So still any Android compatible gamepad can be used.
  17. Hey Guys! I proudly announce that the first early test version of BrickController 2 is now available on the following link for Android: BrickController2 0.1 New features: - Live BuWizz output level setting - Powered-Up support (Boost support will be added shortly) - Extra button options: simple toggle, alternating, circular, pingpong - Axis (joystick) characteristic setting: linear, exponential, logarithmic - Axis dead zone setting You could ask why the earth I created completely new app. Well the reason is that BrickController 2 will be released for iOS as well. At this point I chose to release the first test version for Android only and see how it goes. Anyway the app runs on my IPad very well but unfortunately it is not possible to distribute it other than the AppStore. Once it gets stable enough I'll publish it in both stores. There's still some stuff to polish, but let me know your thoughts. Happy playing!
  18. Hi, New version of BrickController is available on the following link: BrickController 0.6 Changes: - Max output level indicator - PlayStation DualShock 4 support - Other minor fixes Happy playing!
  19. Hi, Thanks for your suggestions. To be honest I haven't used the official SBrick app for a long time so these functions are new to me :) So I have to look into them. For the PS4 controller support I'd need one to properly add those option. Anyway in the current app you can setup toggle buttons.
  20. Hi, In the Android settings somewhere (manufacturer dependent) there's a list of installed apps. Find the BrickController and tap 'Clear data'. Both data and cache. Please let me know if it helps. BR
  21. Uh, this sounds odd. Have you ever updated the app from one version to another? And which version are you running at the moment? I have also seen such an issue when I updated the creation database structure but a reinstall fixed it. Maybe some permission issue?
  22. Hi, My controller looks very similar. You need to pair the controller in the Android settings not in the application. Also be aware that it has 4 modes and only one of them is working as a game controller. It can be switched by the home button on the controller. Hope it helps. Happy playing! :)
  23. Hi, In the current version of the app you can only switch the mode in the device details page. I have plans to add a switch option on the player page too. Happy playing :)
