  1. LOL this is awesome, nice work bro
  2. Changed a few things around & gave the face some battle damage ('before' pics are at the bottom of the page): Hello everyone, Backstory: In the 'War Machine' story-arc, James Rhodey suffers a horrific injury from a terrorist attack and gets all of his legs and arms blown off. He also loses the right side of his face. Tony rescues him using Bleeding Edge technology, cybernetic replacements, and reverse-engineered components from the original Iron Man suit that Obediah Stane created (this serves as a defense against an attack focused on Stark-based systems). The armor can interface with any system and has interlocking capabilities with mechanical constructs for repair and upgrade. Rhodey uses this ability to merge with jet fighters and tanks to gain their technology and weapons. He is a true machine of war now. It's probably the craziest, ugliest, and yet most awesome thing I've seen in the Iron Man comics. Send helicopters after him? He'll blow you up and steal your freakin' missiles Fighter jets? He'll take your parts to create a jet-pack and NEW LEGS And a tank?
  3. Thats a very articulated moc! The posing possibilities seem endless, great work!
  4. great moc! where did you get that background setting from? Looks very cool
  5. wow very clean MOC Luxor! I really like the dark grey color for the floor and tiles. That's also the best-designed mechanical robot out of all the Iron Man mocs i've seen online! Great work with the details. I noticed too that they never mentioned "Hall of Armor" in all THREE Iron Man movies!! I was disappointed with the 3rd one because all of his armors were kept in that dark, missile-silo style bunker underneath his mansion for nearly the entire movie (Tony usually has all of them out for display in the comics) But it turns out that "garage" is the term that was originally chosen by the director Jon Favreau for the first Iron Man movie. They picked "garage" and a garage-style setting so they could introduce the character of Tony Stark to people who did not know Iron Man or didn't know the story beforehand. The main point was to show that he's a very hands-on person and "mechanic genius" who likes to tinker - pretty much a modern-day Nikola Tesla. I guess this is why the first scene of Tony in the garage is of him repairing an old Ford hot-rod. In Marvel comics and almost all Iron Man universes, "The Hall of Armor" is the widely accepted term. In the alternate realities, such as Earth 9049013, Tony refers to it as "The Armory" - a hidden base inside an abandoned building that is close to Rhodey's house. But just like Batman and his Batcave, the writer and illustrator will have different representations and depictions to fit the story-line (just like what Jon Favreau did). They'll either make it a busy, workshop style setting like this (to fascinate Peter Parker's mind): or an armory like this (tony is retrieving the Hulk Buster suit here): or a Hall like this: or they'll combine everything and call it a "Workroom" LOL So that's my iron man trivia fact of the day for everyone hahaha sorry for the long reply!
  6. brings back memories from my childhood bro! Great work!

  8. Hourglass for the win!! great work man, this would look awesome on Catwoman, Wonderwoman, etc..
  9. started some small detail-work today. I noticed that all of the face-masks on the armors have the same design. I'm going to be painting a few to change the look. Here's the first one: I color-matched the sides and raised the red further up at the chin area. This was inspired by Stark's Prometheum armor. I'm also painting in the smaller details, like the two circle-vents on the galaxy-patrol armor that I used for my Deep Sea Hydro custom. Before: I'll post pictures of everything once its all completed
  10. the over sized penguin is legit
  11. Have ya'll watched the new Man of Steel trailer? I seriously believe that this will kick-start the new Justice League, or at least a "World's Finest" (batman + superman) story arc adapted for the big screen. Marvel has been dominating the box office lately and DC Comics wants to get back into the "billion dollar box office" game. You also have Arkham Origins the game coming out very soon. The trailer is like a mini-movie: I'm sure that these two elements will manifest a completely new creative-direction for Lego designers working on DC-related sets and figures.
  12. Lookin good bro!
