  1. I love that windshield piece for the car
  2. "Minifigures 7/10 - I like the Iron Man design, and this suit marque is no exception. It's a shame it's not an exclusive variant though, as that would make this polybag so much more essential." i agree! Thanks for the review, I didnt know these are available now.
  3. Thank you! I am working on a few more customs - most likely the Prometheum-inspired one will be my favorite (pic below). HAHA yeah i was waiting for someone to make a comment about my username
  4. Yes, you did a great job! I used the following: Bones (Torso + Legs) Bleeding Edge (Torso + Legs) Shotgun (Torso) Mk. 2 (Torso) Red Snapper (Torso + Legs) Mk. 5 (Torso + legs) I will most likely use all of these except the Red Snapper for the final armory.
  5. i'll be posting up-close pics once all of the armors are completed. I'm still waiting on some breast-plates and other accessories coming in from eBay =)
  6. suit up! (the last picture i took before taking apart the Hall for redesign )
  7. a little bulky but still a great effort! I like your canopy style window. It reminds me of the new Egoista Lamborghini that was released a few days ago http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2013/05/lamborghini-egoista-011.jpg
  8. thank you! The current set up actually doesnt use any more reversed suits (i decided to use some decals instead). The backside of the beetle torso however looks very good! You'd just need to put in an arc reactor and you'd be set! The Mk. 42 torso backside is also really nice to use. thanks! thank you!
  9. Thank you! Yes, but when you compare it to buying the ones from resellers off eBay ($30-$60 each), it's alot cheaper to just customize them yourself. A steady hand and some paint can go a long way. As long as you pay close attention to detail, you'll come out with a clean custom. Mixing your paints to create different colors is also economical. Decals are also really convenient (use a hobby knife and ruler vs. scissors for a cleaner cut). This is actually the quickest build i've had lately (3 days total, from scratch-to-build and customization/painting). I'm tempted to make more, but i've spent too much already and im running low on bricks (grey, dark grey)
  10. Individual may be a little difficult but i can do detailed, up-close group shots... i'll take some soon and post them up here! Thanks for the kind comment, cheers!
  11. UPDATE: May 19, 2013 New custom armors added & Armory re-designed! Tony Stark is usually surrounded by cool holographic displays so I decided to add several more, including the Mark 6 & 7 projections from the Malibu Mansion set. Can't forget about the booze on the table! (Demon in a Bottle) Main floor: Mk. 1, Mk. 2, Mk.7, Mk.5, Mk.6 Top row: Stealth Artillery Suit, Silver Centurion Mk. 2, Deep Space Suit, Enhanced Reactor suit, Prototype Stealth suit Bottom row: Hot Rod Red (I wondered how all red would look haha), Deep Sea Hydro suit, Long Distance suit, Silver Centurion retro-inspired suit, Hyper Velocity suit Top row: War Machine 2.0 prototype suit, Prometheum-armor inspired suit, War Machine Heavy Duty, Godkiller armor, Bleeding Edge armor Tony's work area Top row: "Bones", War Machine, Mk. 42 prototype, Mk. 42, Iron Patriot Bottom row: Radiation-zone suit, Super Stealth suit, "Shotgun", "Gemini", "Heartbreaker" I decided to expose only the top-half of the HulkBuster Mk. 2 (World War Hulk version) I think it looks better surrounded by the walkway & repair bay Evolution & progress pictures: ================================================================================================= I am finally done with my custom Iron Man figures. Enjoy!
  12. hahah great writing bro, Looking forward to the next one!
  13. WB exec's say that Man of Steel is super awesome so i'm guessing they'll try turning it into a trilogy. Justice League is also up for discussion. I think Justice League inspired sets with redesigned Heroes would be awesome. Hall of Justice and Watchtower sets in the $40-60 range would be really cool to see
  14. For batman fans, Black Mask is somewhat well-known... but for the general Lego-Batman audience, Black Mask may not be a real "center-stage" villain for product merchandising. You have your "originals" (i.e. Mr Freeze, Poison ivy, etc) from cartoons and TAS. And then you have your "side villains" (i.e. Victor Zsasz, Black Mask, etc) in my opinion... Im really curious to see what direction Lego will go towards for their new DC products... Edit: I have a small feeling that they'll re-do the few remaining heroes + villians into Arkham versions. We already have a Mr. Freeze and Robin. An Arkham-style Bane and Scarecrow would be really cool. Hugo Strange and Black Mask would serve as nice side figures for the larger sets.
  15. i think you can get your hands on a decent pad printer for around $600. It sounds like a lot, but if you're able to do good quality work, you can get your money back pretty quick. Those Mark 5 Iron Man figures that Christo sells always go for around $50 each!
  16. i love your happy hogan with long hair. The head change for the Mandarin is also on point - the one released by lego has too much hair! Keep up the good work!
  17. I tried to make it, but I had to modify it because I did not have all of the pieces. There are 2 other members who are currently building theirs however - they should be posting pics within the next few days Well honestly, they might because Nolan's series has come to an end. They could however go for a more "darker / mature" style by adapting the Arkham City video game aesthetics. We already saw an Arkham-style Robin from their Asylum Breakout set. Not entirely sure if he's available outside the US. If you need help getting your hands on one however, try messaging a US member. You can also contact me if you have no luck. Cheers!
  18. awesome MOC! i love all the mechanical/refinery details
  19. Thank you! I figured this would be my last post for Iron Man related MOC's. To be honest though, the customization was so fun that I sorta want to do some more I have no space for more armors though
  20. red snapper. igor (hulkbuster) is blue in the film edit: actually, i think alot of people jumped to the conclusion of Igor being the hulkbuster. Igor's specialty is "Heavy Lifting" which he does in Iron Man 3. It may be strong, but I don't really see it as a combat suit, especially one strong enough to take on the Hulk.
  21. Very nice work! The expansion gives it a much better size/scale
  22. epic! Theres so much detail I love it
  23. nice work! I love the stairs and the rock design on the outside
  24. are you in the printing business? Do you take any custom orders?
