Those are New Zealand prices, the sets will be average priced like other themes and include molded dinosaurs as there is a set precedent.

More excited now that we could see a Forestmen revival with Elves in a fantasy theme. Imagine the forest outposts and the grottos that could be made. Wonder if the Elves will fight human knights or more magical creatures.

Please give us armored elves with new helmets! C'mon Lego please, if this is true I don't care about LOTR anymore.

I would love a theme with Knights who are fighting various monsters. It could include a Manticore, Griffin, Dragon and maybe a Chimera. Either the knights are fighting/hunting these monsters or they could have 4 factions represented by their token monster. I think that a semi historical Castle theme with just some fantasy elements like historical medieval monsters would work brilliantly. This is what I hope for after the end of LOTR.

I am partial to Lost World's vehicles especially the huge RV that open into a lab and the green vehicles. The RV with lab section would have been perfect for Lego back in the 90s. Now I have Hobbit, SW, Marvel maybe DC soon and probably Jurassic World to buy. Thanks Lego for taking my money! I really want to see a molded Mosasaurus since I love aquatic beasts and monsters. So excited the movie finally includes one, I hope we see an icythosaur.

No Lego to buy? I came back to Lego for LOTR and stayed for Hobbit but I also bought tons of Star Wars sets and now I just bought Marvel Milano Spaceship Rescue. Lego still has lots to offer even without LOTR. I got tired of feeling like I didn't have options but with Star Wars there's much out there and great detailed prints and molds constantly.

My new assessments for the wave: After the shellshock of no Elf Soldier and even no Thranduil just Legolas I have warmed up to the sets. Witchking Battle is definitely an instant buy for the price and the incredibly detailed Elrond, Galadriel and Witchking. Attack on Laketown is decent with a standard quality build. I only like Tauriel variant and maybe Bain in this set. I may get the set because extra orc(s) are always nice and new hair mold. BoFA has more of a build that is okay. The ballista is still largely disproportionate to system scale by appearance. I love the SDCC Blue Bard, Angry Azog (don't have DGB) and Thorin is breathtaking. Legolas can burn in a fire and the hairless orcs are lame as always. So this set I may just bricklink Angry Azog, Thorin, and Bard. I originally thought Dain looked great but closer images revealed his helmet is goofy and has exaggerated flaring looking like a clown. Lonely Mountain is a great set for the colors, Smaug, and a bunch of new armor torsos for the main Dwarves. Kili is really good, my favorite torso. Smaug is the real deal and the seller so he is ace. I love the throne design downscaled but evocative of the source material. The little entrances and cavern structure are nice touches but some of the mining portion seems under thought, almost throwaway design. Will get this set for colors, Smaug, and some Dwarf variants. So this wave is better than LOTR wave 2 and matches Hobbit wave 2 in terms of quality and design. LOTR wave 1 is still better and hobbit wave 1 as well.

I think they mean another set possibly like d2c as a giveaway but definitely unlikely all the same. More lekku it will be Dain or Thorin giveaway since they are hard to find or in more expensive sets. Maybe even a Smaug?

Me as well, however I was close to ending my Dark age when seeing the Star Wars sets. LOTR pushed me over the top. In the end LOTR will be the reason for coming back to Lego after a decade but not the reason I stay. Lego does have more offerings than ever before.

Hard to tell. Looks like a new hair design mold too. Makes sense since the crown keeps the hair in place. Just realized Aragorn, King of Gondor didn't even get a crown mold in LOTR Lego but Thorin does. Definitely proves that Hobbit had better resources.

Wow in your last pic I see an Ice Raider torso or whatever they were called!

Sign me up! I loved the GotG sets, the Milano is an even better starship than the Star Wars line. I went from LOTR/Hobbit to Star Wars and now I chose the Milano Rescue over any of the Summer SW sets. I would buy more gotg sets in a heartbeat. It may also be my door into more Lego Marvel.

Sabine is pink and purple colors. Seen anyone in the sets like that? Maybe extremis head is a placeholder for Inquisitor? Two officers could be Grint and the other guy. T-16 sounds like a fun set! Womp rat seems interesting since there was never a canon depiction? Shadow Troopers and Geonosis Troopers sound like solid cheap BPs. More stormies in Ezra's set also a plus since it could be BP like.

More elves are always good! Im game and I love classic forestmen/wolf pack factions. Hopefully Lego can make some great new fantasy castle crossover theme with medieval monsters. Dragon, griffin, sea monster, maybe a cockatrice or chimera or a giant bird like the Roc.

Definitely wasn't expecting Legolas in BoFA especially in his inaccurate attire. I had a suspicion we would get a new print legolas or reused LOTR print. Just so disappointing no Armored Thranduil, no Mirkwood Palace Guards, no Mirkwood Elf Silver Knights (seen in trailer), no Mirkwood Elf Golden Soldiers who we have seen since the very beginning prologue of AuJ. A true travesty because certainly Thranduil will have a hero moment. The saddest part will be seeing literally thousands of Mirkwood Soliders adorn in glittering mail and tall elegant helms and knowing I'll never see their kind in Lego form. Amazingly the Elves as we have seen in pics and trailers will outnumber the men of Dale, Thorin's folk and Dain's Dwarves of the Iron Hills and yet somehow the Iron Hills are more important in the story to some.
